WHAT A THRILL! If youve never done this before, put it on your bucket list! I went with my husband and friends and we had so much fun. We did the Mob Boss room. We ran out of time but we were so close to finishing - we were on the last clue! You wont be disappointed. The owner, Alex, was super with the directions and explaining how everything works. The place was clean and tidy. We cant wait to go back again and try another room.

We did the Mad Lab room at Escape This and had a lot of fun. The employee whose name I cant remember (sorry!) was super friendly and made sure we had a great time. I highly recommend this escape room. We will definitely be back!

Our family had a great time! We won the challenge of The Crime Lab, which has a 30% success rate AND we had 16 minutes to spare! It was a challenge, but we rocked it and and we worked together lovely. Well definitely be back!!!

Just came in today the young man who greeted us at the desk was very funny, personable and customer friendly! This was our (My girlfriend and I) first time doing a room and we had a blast with a large part to how friendly and nice the staff was! We met what appeared to be the owner after and he was extremely friendly! Would recommend to anyone looking to have fun!!

We had a great time figuring out all the puzzles. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They take keeping the attraction clean and customers safe very seriously. Follow the simple rules and youll have a great time.

Such a great experience! First, safety measures in place were on point so certainly important to mention that. All of the rooms we played were well put together, challenging but not frustrating, and the owner and his son were super nice and friendly to talk with! Cant wait to try the last 2 rooms!!! Escape This was an awesome experience. They have a variety of rooms available to choose from. We did the ghost one and almost caught the ghost. There was a few puzzles that really tested your mind. Definitely worth the money.

The rooms at this business were great! Enough of a challenge that it took some work, but not overly difficult as to be discouraged. The clues also flowed together really well and stuck to the theme of the room. Definitely our new spot for escape rooms in Frederick!

This was an awesome experience! The administers were extremely helpful and the room was creative, yet not too challenging. Whenever we became stumped, the administers helped with very specific and intelligent clues. We did the mad lab room, and it was extremely well decorated and colorful. Would 100% come back! Recommended for everyone passing through Fredrick!

As far as escape rooms go, this is the best company I have dealt with. [Granted its only the 3rd so far] In fact, I would say that, if youve never done one before, you should probably try another company first, ONLY because the format and systems here are superior to anything else weve seen. The puzzles are interesting, there is always a puzzle that requires dexterity instead of only relying on visual and mental puzzles, the company uses a video screen rather than an intercom to maintain immersion in the scenario, the assistants actually know what they are doing and give useful hints, and the puzzles strike the right level of difficulty. As an experience, Escape This greatly surpasses any other escape room weve seen. Highly recommended.

An experience focused escape room facility. Thats not to undersell their puzzles, those are very good and complex as well but the real thing that makes Escape This stand out apart from the other Escape Rooms in the area is the immersive and well designed rooms. Every room has a unique feel and atmosphere that adds to the experience. I love that its a family business that is really passionate about escape rooms in general. As someone who has done many escape rooms in the area and across the US, I highly recommend Escape This Frederick.

As far as escape rooms go, this was an excellent choice. The folks running the place were awesome and the rooms were challenging. There is a setup where two parties go against each other. We won, (beat the wives) which made this experience even better. Lol. But seriously, I’m not a big fan of these escape rooms but these guys have got it together. Good for a Saturday night.

This place was so fun!!! We did the Mad Lab room and we had 8 people for an 18th birthday. I thought it would be crowded but we had plenty of room to work. This was our first escape room and the administrator was really helpful. We actually solved the room with 1 minute left!!! It was an amazing experience!! Strongly recommend!!!!

This one of the first escape rooms where all of the clues actually made sense (although I did need hints) and all of the equipment operated properly. I will definitely try this place again.

The haunted room was one of the hardest rooms and we made it with just under 3 minutes to spare and 4 out of 6 of us were rookies! We felt very proud and had such a good time. Cant wait to try another room soon! Highly recommend!

Very fun! We did the crime scene investigation room. The room was a bit small, but our group of 6 had no problems navigating the space. We made it out with 1:47 to spare. Check them out!

We had a BLAST here yesterday. So much so that we turned around and booked another room for an hour later. Our first escape room experience and the staff was great. Great facility, great stories. Cant wait to come back to try our hands at the other 2 rooms! Highly recommend.

I had so much fun here! The one we did was called big boss I think, trying to find the diamonds that were taken. It was very fun to do, challenging and a good team (or friendship) building experience! I would definitely go again. Instructions were concise and easy to understand. And best of all we found the diamond! With 58 seconds left but we still found it.....

Went as a group of three and did one room. The attendant was incredibly informative as two of us had not tried an escape room before. The room was challenging and interesting without being too flashy or cheesy. The hint system is useful without giving away too much. The staff is friendly without being too pushy. I would go back for another room. Over all it was a fun experience and I suggest try it at least twice.

My boyfriend and I had such a fun time! We called first to ask a few questions and they were unable to answer the phone at the time. I did not even leave a message and they called me back! My boyfriend was the rookie in this experience. Everyone was super helpful. Great clues and challenging but doable room! We hope to return soon!!!!! I would recommend this business to anyone!

It was lot of fun!! We finished the Mad Lab puzzle with time left and the crew were very helpful when we were stuck. Some of the equipment inside needs some maintenance but overall a very good experience.

This was my second escape room experience. My first was really bad. This was the opposite. The employees communicated clearly and were attentive, encouraging, and supportive. There was someone clearly actively monitoring us to ensure our experience was a positive one. The room was tons of fun with various types of puzzles and riddles, excellent sound effects, and an engaging plot. Definitely will return when I am in the area!

The reviews were good and the webpage was user friendly. So we gave it a whirl, we ended up having a BLAST!!We tried the hardest room and made it a little over half way through but the fun we had together was priceless!! Ive had two experiences at Escape This and both were great. Their rooms surprised me in a great way, theres always something Im not expecting th at adds to the experience. Dont let the theme of the room deter you, their rooms are top notch. Haunted makes me wish I could have selective memory loss just to reexperience it again fresh. 10/10 will visit again, and hopefully soon!

I love these challenging experiences with the family. Close, but no cigar, but everyone contributed to the progress so from 7 years old to 66, everyone gets some praise. Kudos to those who devised The Mad Lab.

Escape This was so fun! This was my third escape room (the ones prior were at different locations) but it was probably my favorite! There were four of us-2 new timers and 2 with experience. We did The Mob Boss and were able to complete the room with only 8 seconds to spare! It was very creative and loads of fun! I highly recommend trying it out as a first timer or someone with experience. The owner was very personable and made the experience so fun for us!

Ive done about a dozen escape rooms now. and Ive done all three of the main escape rooms here. Ive only not done crime scene but id like to do that as a face off with my coworkers. It seems like it would be an awesome competitive experience. Of the escape rooms that Ive done. I constantly come back to these as being some of the best done rooms in my opinion. Theyre definitely at the top of my favorites list. The owner is also extremely nice and always happy to take suggestions and share experiences. I really hope he expands soon and gets space for several more rooms because I want more! Definitely my favorite escape room place so far!

This was out first time and it was just the hubby and i...i was skeptical at first because i thought u had to go as a group. We definitely had a great time and we want to come back for more!!

I went in expecting to mostly let the kids do the work and have the fun. I came out excited and satisfied with the experience. Tons of puzzles to figure out in the Mob Boss room, all 8 of us (9yo to 39yo) were able to discover and solve multiple clues. It sparked real excitement when we figured out what to do and advance in the room. It wasnt easy at all and took a lot of thinking and logic. The story was interesting, the clues were helpful, the place was neat and clean, and the Game Master (owner) was really awesome. Id definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a fun activity to do with friends or family. Thank you Escape This!

This was my first escape room experience and I had a blast! Staff was very friendly and explained the rules very well. We were told the Haunted room was the most challenging room they had to offer and I was a bit nervous that we would not be able to escape in time... fortunately, the puzzles and the clues, while exceptionally challenging, were well-designed and could be solved with some creative thinking and teamwork. Managed to escape with just over a minute left and had an amazing experience. I am definitely looking forward to going back and trying some of the other rooms they have to offer.

We had at GREAT time at Escape This Live! We were first-timers and had no idea what to expect. We did the mafia room and it totally surpassed our expectations. It was definitely challenging...we wouldnt have made it without the clues. The experience was so fun and the props and decor were perfect. We really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this place for birthdays, team-building activities or when youre simply looking for something new and interesting to do.

Each room is very unique and fun plus their staff are awesome.

My wife and I came here and experienced the Mob Boss room with a group of 5 other people. We all had a blast and ended up escaping with roughly 5 minutes to spare. The room we played seemed very well put together, with several unexpected surprises.Id definitely be down for returning and trying the other rooms Escape This has to offer.A+

Great staff. My wife and I did our first escape room here. When we got the real they recommended we do a different run than what we were signed up for for our first time. Even though the run snout supposed to be available they made that room available for us. They recognized that we were there for fun not to compete. They treated us accordingly and were very nice and helpful for our first time. It seemed like they were used to many levels of players and could accommodate most needs. We did the mad scientist room and loved it. They took time after we were done to talk to us and make sure we got what we were liking for and suggestions for improvement.

Our first escape room and it was a blast! We did the Mad Lab scenario, which has challenging clues in a great setup that is immersive. An hour went by quickly because we were having such good fun. We did not complete our challenge but we will be back to complete our mission and try the other rooms. The owner’s friendliness , welcoming waiting area, and prop area for pictures, added to the overall experience. We highly recommend this place!

My family and I went here for my daughters birthday. She is 8 and saw an escape room on one of her shows that she watches so she wanted to do one since her mother and I did it for a date night. We did the same room so we could help them figure things out. We did the Haunted one and they loved it! I highly recommend visiting Escape This Frederick as it is a new, fun thing to do in town and they are already looking to expand even with 4 rooms already available. I would recommend booking an entire room for a group of 4 or 5 as 6 adults in one room can sometimes get a little overwhelming with everyone talking and doing stuff. At some points, there will not be enough for everyone to do something when you have that many people. The Haunted room is certainly laid out well and the puzzles and riddles are a lot of fun to figure out.

As the owner of an escape room, Im very impressed with the quality, design, and game play of the two rooms that me and my escape room employees played. Props were very well chosen and match the room. Instructions were explained well, and the clue/delivery mechanism worked very well. Rooms were a good size and entire facility was extremely clean/new (bathrooms too). You can tell the owners really care about the games and the experience. You dont see a lot of husband/wife owners who design their own games in the DMV area!Were looking forward to coming back and playing the last game Face off soon!

Awesome experience! This would be a great adventure for family bonding or a fun date idea. The Mob Boss set up was challenging but not impossible, my family escaped with just over 2 minutes left! On top of everything else, the staff was incredibly nice and informative. Set aside an hour for this adventure and you wont regret it.

Alex was fantastic. He really understands his clients. My hubby and arrived on a Friday early evening and were asked if we had done escape rooms before. We had not but had to book the hardest room due to babysitting conflict. The mad lab room we really wanted was empty so Alex offered to set that up for us instead. It was just the two of us and we were clueless about what we needed to do. The monitor gave us tips and clues. This really got us into the game and we had a lot of fun. We were so happy that they wanted us to succeed and have fun rather than just being challenged and frustrated. It made for a great date. After the escape was over, Alex walked us through some stuff we missed. He even took the time to take a picture for us in some mad scientist costumes they had on hand. Thanks so much. Well be back and well tell our friends.

This was our first escape room experience for all of us. We went for my daughters birthday. We had 2 adults and 5 kids (18,17,15,15 and 14) and everyone brought something to the table. It was a collaborative effort and a fabulous experience. It was so much fun! The facility itself is in a convenient location with plenty of parking and its very clean and spacious. The staff is very friendly. I had a few questions and e-mailed them and they answered promptly. We will definitely be back!

I actually feel really bad having to write this review. I visited this escape room a little while ago and had a really good time. But when I suggested it again I was a bit disgusted to find out that the younger guy in charge of our room had, on more than one occasion, made one of my female friends incredibly uncomfortable by saying suggestive things to her and making her feel incredibly uncomfortable despite her rejections. If I had known about it at the time, I would have made this review a lot sooner, but I cant recommend a place that is apparently part owned by a young guy who harasses women.

My wife, niece and I wanted to do something fun. We thought an escape room sounded like it would be fun, none of us had ever done it. So I did some searching and found this place. The owner was friendly as he explained to us what we needed to do. We all had a blast trying to find the diamond in the Mob Boss room. I think they were nice enough to give us some extra little hints, along with the three clues, since we were newbies. We almost escaped but ran out of time. We wouldnt have gotten as far as we did without those extra hints. I imagine for more seasoned escaped room goers the hints would be less plentiful. Haha, I bet they got a few good laughs watching us trying to figure it out. Especially since all three of us were crawling in the floor at one point looking for clues. We will definitely be back so we can recover that diamond from the mob boss!

This was my second escape room while it was my girlfriends first go at an escape room. The both of us enjoyed the experience very much. We went with my best friend and his girlfriend. They are experienced escape room participants and they loved the room. They had recent bad experiences but said this room restored their faith lol.We did the Mob Boss escape room. It was difficult but not unsolvable. All the clues were fun made sense and actually lead to finding the next clue(s). We did use 3/3 clues allowed by the staff and were able to solve the room within the allotted time.I highly recommend this escape room. We will definitely have to do the Mad Lab room.The staff was very friendly too!
