Very fun for the kids (and the adults too). Had a great time figuring out how to get to the sword.

This was our first escape room experience and we had an amazing time! The staff person who helped us was so friendly and answered all our weird first-timer questions. The Blitzkrieg room was AMAZING the props, puzzles and use of tech/lighting really blew us away. Our group was still talking about the puzzles and recapping our adventure days later. Thanks for a great experience!

The staff here was so awesome! They were very accommodating as we had two members of our party get stuck in traffic. They were thorough, and fun. The room we tried was the crane manor. The majority of our party had done many escape rooms in the past, but we all agreed that this room was one of our favorites. It was very challenging and used all sorts of different puzzle types and had a very fun yet spooky plot (just in time for the Halloween season). I had a great experience and would recommend them highly.

A group of 5 of us (3 new to escape rooms) did the Blitzkrieg room. We were able to get out with just over 6 minutes to spare. It was hands down the best escape room I have ever done.We were really impressed with:- The multiple room setup (3 in total) for the theme and how each one needed to be unlocked- The attention to detail in the clues, the rooms, and the props- The non-linear play and clues- Enough subtle clues/hints along the way without giving too much away- The intricacy of some of the locks and mechanisms- The support and friendly demeanour of the hostWe will defintely be going here again and I have already recommended the place to several people!

Creative puzzles, lots to solve, nice staff.We did both the Conspiracy room and Excalibur. The puzzles were a little non-linear so we could work on multiple at the same time. Props were amazing! Staff was nice and gave hints when we asked. The whole experience was a joy. We went with 4 people to each room, which was a great number since we could all contribute without things being crowded.Looking forward to coming back!

Love love love! My family did the Excalibur room for my son’s birthday. It was a blast! The room was awesome. The puzzles were challenging, but not so difficult that our family couldn’t work our way through them. We did get several hints from Jacob, our game host, but we were able to escape with just a minute and a half left! It was me, my husband, and my boys are ages 15, 13 and 10. So definitely good for the family, but would be a blast and challenging for any age. Highly recommend!

We did this as a new years eve activity with the family ranging in age from mid teens to mid 50s. We were met promptly by Jacob the elf. He was patient, friendly and helpful as we first arrived. His directions were clear and he was not frustrated by our newbie questions. The room was just at the right level for us and Jacob gave us hints when we needed them. Overall a perfect experience. The only advice I have is to use the rest room before you get to the auxiliary location as they do.not have a restroom at that site. (The rest rooms at the main building were fine).

As a pop up room at a different location, this was a festive and fun escape room for the six of us. We were celebrating a birthday and this allowed all of us to work together in order to find Santas key. Ive played 3 escape room games so far and this was my favorite...but maybe only because I like the whimsical over the war and espionage. Santas head elf was there to give us assistance if we needed some....we did....but we were able to find Santas sleigh key with 42 seconds to spare. Its a fun way to spend time with friends and family.

Don’t go to any other escape room, go to this one. You won’t regret it!

Clue IQ was an awesome experience! My husband and I did 2 back to back rooms because we had such a great time when we did one of their rooms before. Helen was an AWESOME host for both rooms. They were both challenging and had very well designed puzzles. I definitely recommend!

I can see why they have almost a perfect 5 stars! The rooms are great! We completed two and will be back for sure. The props are superb and the puzzles are well thought out and true to the theme. I can’t forget to shout out to the staff! They were amazing and very helpful.

I had a wonderful time with my family and friends this evening in the Christmas themed room. I’ve never been to an escape room so it took me a little while to catch on, but I loved the concept! I can’t wait to go back and try another room. Steve is great and super helpful! I def recommend!

Have officially done all rooms at clue IQ. We love to do escape rooms and travel around to visit different ones. Out of all the places and rooms we have done, clue IQ is our favorite. Great attention to detail.. they really make the room come alive! All the staff is really friendly! The rooms are challenging but not to the point that it becomes frustrating. Each time has been really enjoyable. Highly recommend checking them out.

Fantastic experience in the Excalibur room. We took a group of 11-year old girls for a birthday party and they LOVED it. Our game master did an awesome job of giving them clues when the girls were stuck that were just enough info to get them unstuck without telling them exactly what needed to be done. Ive been to multiple escape rooms and thought this one was beautifully done, and very, very fun to play. Will definitely go back!

This was our first experience in an escape room, others in our party it was their second. We all enjoyed it so much and are ready to try another! Quite a challenge and amazing realistic room that made you feel like you were in a castle. (We did Excalibur) The guide/helper was amazing and wanted us to succeed which of course made it more fun to be able to figure everything out and accomplish the goal. All the props and clues were fun and challenging. Thank you to the creative minds that put this all together and those who work there and make it so much fun. We will be back and send our friends your way!

Clue IQ is very organized, friendly and professional. My friends from work and I had a challenging fun time working through Blitzkrieg together!! Several of our team had been to other escape rooms and said that this was the best theyd ever been to. I highly recommend it! We look forward to returning to tackle another room!

We did this for the first time to celebrate our friend’s birthday. We didn’t know what to expect. Even though we didn’t escape, we had a great time and would definitely do it again. It was a lot of fun trying to solve it! The staff was wonderful.

This was a very fun, seasonally inspired escape room! Lots of fun puzzles, including some handcrafted touches that we havent seen before. And the host was inviting and set a good tone. I look forward to doing more Clue IQ rooms in future!

Great Team building activity! This is a Fun and interesting way To make memories. My first time was with my colleagues from work. We took on the hardest challenge and had an amazing experience.

Did the Excalibur room with 5 adults; 2 of us have done a lot of escape rooms nd the other 3 were doing their first ever escape room. We also had our 16 month old toddler in the room (and I think he had as much fun as us).Our game master was great and honored our wishes to not give us clues/hints without prompting.The game itself was great. The puzzles were varied and interesting, and all 5 of us figured out at least some part of it, so everyone felt good about it.We definitely want to go back and do another room.Oh, and theyll give you a $2 off coupon for a beer at a nearby brewery which was a nice touch. That beer felt well earned.

I did the excalibur room by myself. i did not finish but came close. i had so much fun their! that room was not so hard you could not figure out a thing, like other places are. worth the money and i can tell you the set up is beautiful.

I really enjoy escape rooms and am always looking for great ones to try out. I heard from some friends in the know to head to ClueIQ and I am so glad I did. My wife and I played Excalibur today. The puzzles were very clever and well thought out, the room environment was immersive and great quality. The puzzle flow was great, and everything linked back in well with the theme. The clue system and timer were fairly unique, unobtrusive, and more thematic and interactive than I am used to. We really enjoyed our adventure and are already discussing how to go back! If you enjoy escape rooms, give them a visit!

Conspiracy! Loved the experience! Props and storyline very nostalgic for me. Real enough to bring back a lot of memories of historical events that took place in my lifetime.I have experienced 3 different escape room locations but Clue IQ is the best! Friendliest staff to date! They made us feel welcomed and rejoiced with us when we escaped. Look forward to coming back soon.

We chose the Blitzkrieg room as its designed for beginner level participants. Our family of four worked together to solve the puzzles and complete the mission. Staff is absolutely fabulous and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

My family enjoys the challenge of the Escape room. Clue IQ is the Best. The props are well put together, very authentic, and the puzzles were smart. The difficulty level progresses with each challenge. The room monitor is available to give you hints as needed to keep you in track, but not give away anything. It is great seeing the family work together to accomplish a common goal. We participated in the Excalibur room this time, but plan to return to try the other rooms

The Blitzkrige Room was the second Escape Room we’ve been in at Clue IQ and it was just as fun and exciting as the Excalibur Escape Room we went to a few weeks ago. The puzzles were challenging and made you think. The game master gave us the hints before we got too frustrated. The staff was wonderful too they were very friendly and engaging. It was a very fun hour and I would definitely do it again!Julie S.

One of the best escape rooms we have ever done. The decor was so well done you felt like you were really in a castle. The clues really made you think and were not all puzzles but involved logic too. Plenty of special effects which really made it entertaining. Highly recommend!

Awesome venue and friendly staff. Chatted for like 45 minutes about escape rooms. The only rooms weve done so far is Excalibur, however judging by that room and the impression I got from the staff, the others are surely winners as well. Highly recommend this venue for enthusiasts and beginners alike.

We set this up with 4 of our friends to celebrate my husband’s birthday. 2 of our friends have never done an escape room before and have already suggested we come back! Clue IQ creates an entire experience, immersing you in the theme. We found the puzzles challenging, but solvable and has a bunch of fun with the costumes provided in the Excalibur room. We can’t wait to come back.

The two stars are for the location and the rooms, as they are really well thought out and fun. My group did the Blitzkrieg room. We were impressed with how it was laid out and how detailed it was. This was our third escape room and we were so excited when we finished the room in a little over 30 minutes, becoming the fastest group to do the room. Our excitement quickly deflated when the person working there came in, gave a quick great job, and that was it. She led us out of the room and didnt say another word to us. We were still pretty excited and stopped to look at the leader board, to see if we did beat the fastest time. It goes through a bunch of screens so we had to stand there a while looking, and the girl said, you know that doesnt change until tomorrow. Its not instant. We said we knew, we just wanted to check the times to see if we beat it. She just smiled, went in the back employee room, and that was it. It was a pretty big let down and there was no fanfare at all. Weve had better receptions at other rooms weve done when we DIDNT beat the fastest time. One of our group even contacted the place, not to.complain, but just give a heads up about how disappointed we were so that hopefully they would do a better job congratulating high scorers. The response was very vague and defensive. Eh. We wont spend our money here again.

First time at ClueIQ with the family. Was greeted promptly and warmly. Did a quick waiver form and off to experience Blitzkreig. The game was challenging but not overly so. We got a couple of hints to get through it. The room was authentic in relation to the experience which was cool and kept you immersed. We managed not to be casualties of war and enjoyed the experience. I recommend ClueIQ for your next escape room experience.

What an awesome event with the family! First time and more than expected. And no worries, we saved Christmas!

My mother an I tried out Blitzkrieg on our own and let me tell you: it was awesome. We did not beat the room, and honestly I would suggest no less than 4 people for ant of their rooms since they are so intricate and you need more than two sets of eyes. The facility was great, the employee (I didnt catch her name and thats on me) was enthusiastic and really got a feel for us right away and offered an appropriate level of help. Sometimes that included instructions, like turn around and look at the thing on the wall, yes, the shiny thing right there. Overall great experience, will return.

After about a dozen escape rooms across several cities and states, Id definitely put this in the top tier. The puzzles were intricate and challenging, but fair and hit a few different styles of thinking. Plus, its always great when you get the mechanical thump of a device activating or a secret suddenly appearing.

Great room, great staff, great experience! We did the Conspiracy room with 4 people, which seemed pretty perfect. There were enough puzzles that we could split up and work in different things, but we were still able to work together at some points as well. The room was very well designed, the right level of difficulty, very clean, and tons of fun! The owner was our “game master” and did an awesome job at giving just the right clues when needed. He even took time to chat with us afterwards, ask if we had any questions, and asked what we thought of the room. This was one of the best escape rooms I’ve been to, and we will definitely be back for the other two rooms!

As a first timer, the escape room experience was awesome! We chose the most difficult room, Conspiracy. We did need a couple helpful hints along the way, but overall it was really fun! We’ll definitely be going back again!

Nice to have a place like this in Frederick. We did not get anywhere close to escaping but it was still a really good time. The staff is super nice. We did not know that the games were on a schedule; It was going to be nearly a 2 hour wait for our room but they got the room ready for us early. The price includes a cool picture of your group in the end which they email to you. I look fowarded to doing this again in the future.

Our family had a great time in the Excalibur room on Saturday. Highly recommend the ClueIQ rooms. Weve completed them all and cant wait for new ones from this company. They are the most creative in Frederick.

Last year I booked one of the outdoor adventures with my teenaged granddaughter. We both love solving puzzles and brain teasers and had a ball. We loved it so much, she wanted to do an escape room for her birthday. We booked Excalibur this year. The clues and puzzles were thoughtfully engineered and challenging to solve, and the room and props were true to the period, right down to the use of extinguished candles as a countdown clock. Friendly and helpful staff. We will definitely return again!

This is our second visit to Clue IQ and both visits have been absolutely incredible. The level of detail in these experiences are so intricate for some time you forget its not real. 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for the ultimate escape room experience. Be warned...this place will ruin other escape rooms for you.

We had the privilege of doing Excalibur last night at Clue IQ. A group of 6 of us took on the room and had an absolutely fantastic time. You could tell the owner cared about the experience, and the room was very immersive. The room was so much more than many rooms, where wall paper passes as surroundings. This room had wall facades that looked and felt like castle walls. The props were authentic, as the room had knights helmets made from metal, not plastic knockoffs. The staff was super friendly, and our game master Helen did a wonderful job. We have done numerous rooms in the radius around our home town, and this is definitely one of the best. Thank you Clue IQ for the attention to detail and the fun time!

Great place to have fun and enjoy together with the family or friends but some staffs were not approachable and not friendly.

We booked the WW2 room. It was fantastic!!!The staff at Clue IQ is extremely friendly and helpful. We’ve done several rooms at various locations. This is one of my favorites!! Can’t wait to go back and escape from one of their other rooms.

Really fun place .. of course it helps that we won with 2 minutes left! We did the conspiracy room & it had so many different clues - definitely kept your mind going the whole time. The game master was super helpful!!! We will definitely be visiting again!

Our group visit at clue IQ was great! In fact we had previous reservations at a restaurant for Father’s Day. We called to let them know that our reservations had gotten pushed back. Clue IQ told us just to have a great time and they’d see us when we got there. We ended up getting there very late because the restaurant was packed and it took a good while to get our food. They still allowed us to take the entire hour to complete the Excalibur room, which we conquered with just three seconds to spare! It was well beyond the time they were supposed to have closed by the time we were done. Steve, come to find out is the owner, treated us so generously and took the time to explain a lot of things afterwards and took some pictures with us. I highly recommended this great experience to anyone !!

Oh Man where do I begin. This place was amazing myself and my team had soo much fun here, the staff was amazing, very friendly & Courteous. They were super helpful durning the entire process including the escape room portion, took the time to explain everything. The entire experience was just amazing we did the excalibur room, I believe thats what it was called oh man soo awesome, Ill definitely be returning here very soon.

We decided to do the Escape Room for my daughters 18th birthday. I wont lie I was expecting a cheesy experience but instead we had a blast! We walked in as a party of 4. We didnt have an appt but we were seen rather quickly. I would highly suggest making an appointment though so you can have your choice of rooms. The birthday girl picked the Excalibur room. We didnt know what to expect but Helen(?) made the experience amazing. Once we got into the room the experience was very engaging. We all had a good time and will definitely do the escape room again!

Had my daughters 12th birthday party there and it went really well. The girls all said they had a blast. Jacob was a great gamemaster.

Very interactive and very fun. The excalibur deals with lots of numbers and letters. So be ready!!! But still a blast!

Our group of four inexperienced Escape Room artists were not quite able to solve our challenge and still had a fabulous time. The owner/manager was so nice and helpful without being condescending. Lots of fun!

With a little over half of my group being newbies to Escape Rooms - Im happy we chose Clue IQ. The room was very well set up, and the clues werent SUPER hard. The young man working on Saturday the 22nd around 7 was funny, kept us on our toes, and never made us feel like the room would beat us. Although in the end it did - that was on us, not the room. I highly recommend going to Clue IQ.

Great escape rooms, very cool concepts. Fun Game masters. Always a good experience here. The parking situation is less than ideal but easily can park at a nearby garage or find parking on the streets.

This experience was outstanding! We completed the Excalibur room and we WILL be back.My wife and I love escape room games, this was our 9th room that we have played (11th for me). Out of all the rooms I have done in Maryland, this was the best one. I honestly have played some outstanding rooms in Frederick but this one was better, let me explain:Free on-site parking was a great plus. Our room master was super friendly, nice, and professional. The room itself was spectacular. It it well designed, well decorated, and well thought out. The theme was outstanding and the professional looking videos was a great touch. Another thing we noticed but had not done is the private rooms. We will try that next time and update my review, we have already invited our two friends and we just need to pick a date!The main reason why you go to escape room games is the actual room design and this is where Clue IQ well exceeded my expectations. Most escape room games inundate you with tons of locks of some type, so while you are having fun you are basically repeatedly doing the same thing over and over: finding clues to find a word or number or direction to unlock a lock but not here. Sure they have the locked chests but many of the puzzles are solved with electronic locks. No spoilers here but it was awesome!Highly recommend from us! We will be back!

My first escape room experience, and it was really cool! I definitely recommend getting a private room with your friends, although I could see it being fun with strangers too.

We had a surprise birthday party for our 17 yo daughter at ClueIQ (conspiracy room experience). The staff were so very helpful and accommodating when booking the event. Our group had a great time and the staff leader was very patient with a large group of mostly teen girls!!!!

Definitely a fun, bonding and team building experience to do with friends and family. We chose to do The Magic Portal which was outside of the IQ facility which I thought was perfect because I was on vacation from Denver and got to play and explore the town with my friends. My only low was not understanding some of the riddles and clues they gave to solve.

Wonderful experience with friends. The puzzles were challenging but not impossible. The staff goes out of their way to make it a memorable experience and an immersive atmosphere while in the escape room.

This was my first escape room experience. Took my family. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful while maintaining a combination of professionalism and theater. A great time was had by all. We took a family of 6 to a private room and even though we were not successful every could not stop talking about the positive experience.

This place was REALLY fun and not completely impossible! Our group actually got pretty close to getting out of the room. We did Conspiracy, and if youre in for some government intrigue, I say go for it! Our guide/host was helpful and enthusiastic. It seemed like there was a Knight-themed room and something else. Go have fun!

We were a group of 2 adults and 2 12 year olds. We did Blitzkrieg and all of us had great time. Very challenging (we beat it with 48 seconds left). The staff was very nice and professional. Very highly recommended.

We not only enjoyed our adventure but collectively 18 escape rooms between us and two escape room virgins and everything about Excalibur was top notch! The decor/set design was insane, the cleanliness, the clues and fun factor in figuring them out were outstanding and Sir Buxton was a Flippin brilliant way to interact! We even loved that the timer candles. It really was impressive! We will most definitely be back!! Next up: Blitzkrieg

Nice atmospheric escape room. Good props. Unnecessarily complicated puzzles that provided my wife such frustration that she has vowed to never do another escape room. This was her second, having a good experience at a competitors. I might return to try a different room, but Ill sadly be alone it seems.
