One of.my absolute favorite shops. They are my main shop for crystals besides my main shop close to my house. I have to stop everytime we are going that way no matter what. My kids love their museum while I shop till I drop. They have the best prices then any other place I have been. It feels.like youre getting wholesale. I love their rock garden where you can buy giant rose quartz by the pound and other rough gems. Their cut your own geodes have never failed me in being hollow and stunning. I usually leave there with a minimum of ten on top of a full cart. One of the only place where you can get so.much for a great price. If you are a newbie and starting a collection I highly recommend them as they have discounted specimens. Excellent for major collectors, prospectors and minors like myself as they have every items and specimen I need in one spot. Already planning my next trip back!

Ive been into crystals and minerals for a few years now. Shops are a home away from home, and Chapmans Gem and Mineral shop falls nothing short of that. The staff is wonderfully helpful, knowledgeable and kind. If you have the chance to go to this shop, do not pass up the opportunity.

This joint is rock heaven. As in if you love rocks Yer gonna think Yer in heaven. Also as most rock hounds are tight wads, free entry makes it doubly so. If you are new to rocks this is the place to start learning. But be, beforwarned that Youll most likely never see as beautiful a pile of rocks in one place again. The folks have long history here and very friendly. Best of all they like talk about rocks.

WHAT A HIDDEN GEM! drove past and immediately did a U-TURN, i knew this was a place i could not miss! i knew i wanted to get a good friend a stone, what i didn’t know is that i would leave with what would be an unforgettable experience. when it comes to selection of gem stones and product, there’s too much to choose from and their prices are unbeatable. hope was extremely nice however lacked knowledge on crystals. during checkout my boyfriend asked matt for recommendations for sight seeing excursions outside of avenue of giants and we were blessed with a free map that led us through paradise. thanks matt for leading us to the lost coast!

If you find yourself up in the Eureka area, this is a DO NOT MISS! Seriously! It is a true treat for the soul to be in proximity of these stones. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and the prices are fabulous.

Love this place, get almost all my minerals here. So many choices, so many different minerals; knowledgable staff, and an in-house jeweler. Great place to stop by if you are visiting, I come here every once in a while. Although the items they carry are a little expensive, I bought a tiny cut stone for $5 and elsewhere I bought one twice as big for about the same price.

This is no little rock shop. It spans about 3,000-4,000 square feet and is broken up into 3 sections: the free (but donations happily accepted) stone/fossil museum, the rocks/beads sale room, and the stone art sales room. There is also additional outdoor space for more raw stone sales.The museum was my favorite feature. It was uncrowded and quiet, which allowed for an enjoyable learning experience.

I have special days with my great nieces separately for a better time for all, and they both wanted to go there. The 11 year old and I had been once but only made it through the first room, so we finished the other rooms. The 7 year old had never been, getting more and more excited. When we left she had picked out some shells, that she thinks baby unicorns loose like kids do their teeth. My friend very carefully drilled little holes through them for me to make her earrings and a necklace out of her unicorn horns. Ill post pictures when theyre done. Best special days ever !!

One of the largest collections of gem and minerals. The museum portion takes up an enormous section and features a huge variety of pieces from rare large specimens to the most beautiful cuts and nuggets. There is a dark room in the museum to showcase bioluminescence in rocks.The store portion is just as large and impressive. Fantastic selection of beads and jewelry in addition to beautiful larger pieces for the home or projects. The staff are incredibly knowledgable and helpful. MUST visit if you are passing through this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Make sure to check this place out it has great raw pieces of Rose Quartz and more. Some are huge as 40 pounds to small pieces that fit in your hand. Lots of jewelry, polished rocks along with a gallery and museum room. Make the time you wont be sorry.

Gold mine! I always stop at this place once we go north. It’s awesome to site see. Shop. Admire. And look at their beautiful neon rocks and glow in the dark ones. Must see please stop by. I will take my class there on a field trip. Again take your family very rare place as far Northern California gems. There’s a hidden gem or rock for everyone.

Chapmans Gem and Mineral store and Museum is totally awesome! The place was huge and they have tons of different rocks in all price ranges. And I felt that the prices were pretty decent for the products that they had, which was a lot of stuff! They also had a really nice museum in the back with tons of displays and you could probably spend an entire day just looking at all that stuff. Inside the museum they also had a full size Terracotta Warrior, which was really cool! This has to be the best rock shop and mineral Museum in the area by far, totally worth stopping in and and seeing all the different rocks!

Stopped here on a whim not expecting much more than a gift shop, ended up spending 90 minutes exploring this incredible selection and buying gifts for myself and family. Bizarre and wonderful find.

If you are into rock collecting or geology this place is truly amazing and you really need to stop in. One of the best rock shops Ive ever been in. The stone and wood based artwork is incredible! I could spend hours here and could easily spend $$$ here. From small inexpensive pieces to huge. The museum and art gallery is amazing too. Well worth the stop.

Wonderful selection, good prices. They are the first to admit they are a rock shop rather than a metaphysical shop, so if you are looking for something metaphysical know what you are looking for and dont expect to find everything on your list. But definitely worth a stop!

We love stopping by this shop when we have some time to spare. The quality of everything Ive purchased has been better than expected. Im highly sensitive to most metals and synthetics and have had no issues with the Sterling Silver rings or clasps on their cord necklace pieces.My 4 year old loves looking at the sculpture room, and especially the glowing rocks. Chapmans is a great place for an afternoon visit with the family.

This museum is magnificent. It is so worth stopping especially if you have children. The GEOS are the size of a grown man. Lots of educational items and super cool gifts

Really cool place to visit! They have everything you could want when it comes to crystals and fossils--I need to save up for one of the massive chunks of rose quartz they have outside. They also sell a ton of beautiful jewelry at very reasonable prices as well as supplies for you to get started with your own stone tumbling. The museum is really cool too! I didnt know there were so many kinds of agate. I like the section that labels which states some stones are native to. Super neat!

This was such a cool, big gem shop. They had a range of quality and large selection of nearly any gem you could think of. They have some very cool carvings, jewelry (not super high grade), and lots of larger specimens.Pricing was very decent here. Ive been to a lot of gem shops across the country. This is second only to gem shows in the size of selection and pricing. It was a welcome surprise to stumble upon such a good find like this.

Phenomenal history in there. The last few times I was there, it was closed. Very cool! It used to be open all the time but with thefts going on, Im glad it is shut. Too much history to loose there. I never get tired of the vault. Little treasures. Lots of them!If youre lucky enough to see whats inside, youll feel your trip was a success!
