Searched for a restaurant that served a thanksgiving buffet. This was one of the only ones open. The place had a nice decor. It was kind of dark. The buffet was small compared to what Im used to. I understand that covid effected many businessThe food was lackluster. The mashed potatoes tasted like instant mashed potatoes. The pasta salad came from a ready-made cartons. For Pete sake. Attempt to make some items from scratch. Price dictate food quality. Ill spend more to get better

The Thanksgiving buffet at the Edison was fabulous. We had a table on the terrace, the service was exceptional. Starting with making the reservation with Glenda to meeting our server, Keaton, and other staff members. Everyone was friendly and professional. We have already made our Christmas reservation.

Employees not wearing masks or not wearing them properly. Open buffet with no sneeze guards. Customers sitting way too close and people not taking the proper precautions to prevent the spread of disease.

The building’s interior decor is on point, the menu is varied and tasty, but the lack of effort to incorporate enhanced safety measures during a pandemic is concerning. No server wore a mask, and the tables were not even close to 6 feet apart.

Southwest Florida Bears Fan Club meets here for games, or stop in after your round of golf. Inside or on the back porch overlooking the golf course, youll have a good time.

American food and service at this location is excellent. One of the best spots of its kind in the area. Looking forward to going back again. Bring your hunger - portions are large.

Great place with a nice and comfortable old feel. Neat menu and the venue for a wedding ceremony worked out nicely.I got a private tour of the facility and was quite impressed. We look forward to returning for lunch dinner sometime.

By far the best place for Bears fans in SWF!! I used to go to Chicago pizza in Cape Coral but they decided to be cheap and not get the nfl package this year so all of you Bears fans should check out the Edison Bar and Grill!! Go Bears!!!!

Service was slow and it took a long time for the food to come out then all at once. You can tell it had been under a heat lamp for a bit. Its been a long time since I had a real good Cuban sandwich and remembered a while back that I enjoyed one here. I am still waiting for a good Cuban, cause they dont have one here. Didnt finish it.

The Edison, McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.I was suprise as to how empty this place appeared to be. This being a big golf course & well known eatery. A few workers and 2-3 guys having a drink at the bar.The food. For 12 bucks, I got a fairly large and very fresh salad. I really enjoyed it. Plus a chicken pot pie with puff pastry on top. The pie was very creamy. Thick with white chicken meat, peas, carrots and taters. A bit salty but I am sure thats me. Plus a sweet tea. A good lunch at a reasonable price.My server disappeared quite often but always pop up when I needed something.Over all a good experience. I would go back.

Filthy tables out on the patio, chairs falling apart,....just disgusting. Went inside rather than completely walking out. Service was slow.. Although our waitress was lovely. The food was mediocre but I couldnt get past the filth.

Ive been here for a couple of different occasions and I must say that they are a very consistent operation. they can take care of two or 200 with the same sense of urgency. Very kind and considered people with an interesting food assortment. Its a great place for lunch and its also a good late night spot for drinks, music, and an all around good time.

Beautiful, the wedding we went to was beautifully done, spacious and the restaurant smelled delicious.

Moved 1 mile away 8 yrs ago bc loved the upscale people, food and bands-stopped in and on a Sat nite in season and after a huge gulf tournament at 9 and no band-noone even in the dining rm and really drunk people at the bar outside and were handed drinks to go-what a shame!! Was also closed for 2 day in April for MANY violations including rat infestation! Dont eat there!!!!

The food was just so, so. Our waiter was fantastic. He took care of a large party of us like it was no big deal. My hat is off to him.

My son and his husband recently got married on your golf course and reception was in your banquet hall. The servers were pleasant. Open bar was also nice. The problems we had was during there vow exchange, there was golfers teeing off. The staff should of approached the golfers and asked them to wait. Afterwards, when we went to eat our dinner, the steak was like eating leather, broccoli was like eating a salt stick, potatoes were to spicy, ceasar salad didnt have croutons. The appetizers was better then the dinner it self. My family and myself couldnt finish eating our dinner because it was horrible. I have had a dinner at Applebees that was better then what I ate at my son wedding. Then when we went to pay for the five extra people we were given a bill for over $700.00 for a gratuity we werent aware of. We were told it was for setting up the venue. For $30 a plate the food should of been what we paid for. The only thing Im thankful for is that my son and husband enjoyed there wedding. I will never recommend your food to anyone. The 20% should of been added to the venue bill when my son paid for it, not at the end of the wedding.It makes it look like you were just wanting more money out of us.

We sat at the bar. Great service, the bartender had a great personality. The food was ok, not a large portion by any means (we had chicken tenders and fries). Need bar area, lots of history on the walls. Well worth a visit (Tuesday is prime rib night).

Excellent food and staff! We had an event with the All American menu (meatloaf, fried chicken, fish, coleslaw, and mashed potatoes) and it was so so good. Even though there were call outs and the staff was shorthanded, they still brought out food in a timely manner. Food was brought out fresh as it was running low to ensure everyone got it fresh as the buffet line went on. Lemonade was very tasty as well - maybe well try catering some other events from here in the future too! Good food that made me want to try to come on my lunch again sometime! :)

I’d like to give this restaurant a decent rating, but the only thing it has going for it is the bar scene, which was so loud it made dinner a terrible place to talk with friends. We met three other couples there yesterday for dinner and very little went right.Two of us had appetizers, and both were almost inedible. I had the friend green tomatoes and mozzarella, and while the mozzarella was good, the fried green tomatoes were still very hard and green and only lightly fried. I had to use a serrated knife just to cut one and then found it to be like eating a very raw green tomato.Out of eight entrees, only one person was satisfied. Three of us had pizza (because our server raved about it) but it was awful! Way too much red sauce and very little cheese…sorry, but I’ve had better frozen pizzas.Our server took our drink order, which arrived promptly, but after that we saw very little of her. This establishment needs a lot of work before it can compete with other good restaurants in the Fort Meyers area.

Very unorganized!!! Took 55 minutes just to get our salad and we had to ask for it. The silverware, which was wrapped in napkins, was dirty and sticky. The pot- pie was served cold in an extremely small bowl (like the size of a coffee cup) with a biscuit on top that was extremely hard n dried out. It cost $12 !! We never really knew who our actual server was. All servers were friendly but it was totally disorganized. The place needs a good cleaning. Dirty dishes were every where. Seems like new management would do wonders.

American food and service here is great. This place is absolutely one of my favorites. Will surely make a return trip. It has a cool feel to it. I can see why they have so many reviews.

Fun atmosphere for college games, especially if youre a Gator fan. Drinks are fair priced but who cares about that, go and check it out!

I was recently there to help a friend take a look at the tower, a room you can rent for special parties. I didnt even know there was a second floor at the Edison and I was amazed at how much space whats available up there. With three unique cubby hole Windows looking over the golf course, and a built-in bar area, this room is ready to go for any occasion. It has a Charming skylight oh, and bathroom is right there in the hallway. A+. We look forward to our party in July

The mushroom Swiss burger wasnt bad. Ive had better. My friend got a chicken pot pie for take out. The portion was so small, I thought it was ordered from the childrens menu. Service was excellent.

If you want good fast service DONT GOIf you want good food DONT GOIf you want to have a conversation while there DONT GOIf you want to watch the staff play on their phones than you SHOULD GO.WORST SERVICE EVER DONT TIP....unless good service is provided then of course tip. No service or terrible service then one should not receive more than what it is worth. Here is some feedback on hopes that it will improve your business...monitor your staff as they are on the phone every chance, waiter should write down the order so he doesnt forget it...lost revenue as we never received our extra side salads or appetizer. The sides for the entree were wrong. The drink order took so long for the specialty beer we were almost done dinner. The waiter brought two to try to make amends but nobody wanted another one. What a waste. Server never asked how our meal was. It took longer to get our bill then our meal which was also longer than it should be. It wasnt busy, understandably with such poor service and cold food...likely Sat under the heat while staff joked around looking at each others phones. We are long time residents of Ft Myers and have given your establishment multiple opportunities to provide improved service. Unfortunately, each time it gets worse. On this occasion with our party of 6 whom have all worked service at one time or another were appalled at the service. The waiter was given a tip even though it was not earned. He could have gotten our minimum tip of 30% but we all agreed it wasnt even close to being earned. There are too many restaurants in Ft Myers to ever come back to yours. I hope this helps you with a more detailed account of the poor service.

Thanksgiving Dinner, 2018, a reserved dinner for 4 at 3:00 p.m., was a major disappointment for the cost of $45 per person. First of all, our reservation was made in PERSON (as the two phone calls to reserve were not returned), and when we arrived, the actual woman who made the reservation (we talked directly with her) could not find it, did not remember us, but did finally honor it. We were in the last seating group of the day at 3 p.m. We did not get seated until 3:30. There were dishes that were no long available in the buffet, including cornbread stuffing, cocktail sauce for the the shrimp cocktail, and the chocolate cake for dessert. And beyond that, the burners or heat sources for several of the dishes were no longer on, so several of the side dishes were cold. Because of the obvious high volume of diners, the dishes and serving utensils were messy, and the buffet tables were also less than appealing. However, I will say that the meats were hot and very good, and the salad bar was good. I just think we should have been given a discount, or told at the onset that the final seating would probably be lacking. A less than satisfying Thanksgiving dinner, to be sure.

My company had an awards banquet here, and the food was incredibly good. Ive never tried this place before that, but I need more of that meatloaf and cornbread - it just melts in your mouth! Im going to try to bring my friends here for lunch or dinner sometime again soon!

Since weve moved to downtown Fort Myers we have enjoyed so many restaurants, but never tried the Edisons at the Country Club. So we went around 4pm. BEST SERVERS, BEST BAR STAFF AND MANAGERS!! Everyone was so nice! The food was amazing plus there were SO MANY other items we wanted to try. NEXT TIME. The Menu is not too big, and has a wonderful selection. Ordered the Portobello mushroom, DELICIOUS! Then we ordered the Chicken Pot Pie and the Chicken Monte Carlo. BOTH were really really good. I mean DELICIOUS! I had a dirty Martini that was great and the beer was also great. Had the opportunity to even talk to the Manager, ALL STAFF HERE IS FANTASTIC! We will be back soon! Thank you!!!

Extraordinary slow service. Difficult finding staff to help you. Food was fair, drinks were fine, and prices were reasonable. But the lack of attention from the staff on two separate important events with reservations makes this a no-go for us.

Stopped by The Edison with a few friends on a Wednesday night a few weeks ago. We all really enjoyed ourselves. The guy Joe played great guitar and had a great voice he really knew his stuff, the bar staff was very friendly, the food was really good to, our group had the burger topped with pulled pork, chicken wings, the everything pizza, and cold beers. The Edison has a really nice atmosphere to enjoy a night out with friends . For our group Wednesday is the best day for us to get together so it was great to find a place we all enjoyed ,great entertainment, staff, food and drinks. Hope it doesnt change!

Havent dined there in many years, so noticed some changes since . It is still a pleasant atmosphere for dining w/spouse, friends, coworkers. Dining on the porch overlooking the golf course is always pleasant but todays heat didnt allow for that.Full bar, pleasant service, Nice choices on the menu, moderate prices. Glad we decided to have lunch there.

I was really surprised by how incredibly filthy the restaurant was. I had been here once before and it was not bad. This time was entirely different. The buffet plates were dirty with visible food droplets on them, the kitchen staff who brought food in were in t-shirts and basketball gym shorts, they wait staff was inattentive. I asked for ketchup at the beginning of the meal and received it promptly upon my finishing my last bite of food. I ordered water along with my drink, and it was very sweet-- there was some kind of sugar syrup in it! Probably the most revolting part of the experience was the condition of the mens room. It was incredibly filthy, so filthy you could not sit down if you had to. See the image I have included. This place is utterly disgusting. You can tell that no one cares and there is no attention to detail or the customers experience. It seems they have lost their way.

Did not have a chance to try the food this time around. Stopped in to try the CBD infused beer from Sweetwater on tap. Delicious! Bartender was awesome and atmosphere is wonderful. Love the old photos of Edison, Ford and Firestone. Will review food next time.

Food was really good. The place is very cool looking! Our server a guy named Mike was awful. 3 times asked for iced tea and he kept bringing Diet Coke. Could not remember anything or get anything straight. And the place was empty! We could not figure out why he was struggling so bad. Perhaps he was on cold tablets or something but he certainly look banged up to top it all off. Would consider going back on Mikes night off

This restaurant is one of our weekly favorites! My go-to cocktail is the Pretty in Pink Martini. Its delicious! The Edison is classy and casual all at the same time. We definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a fun and relaxing night out!

We have been to the Edison Restaurant a million times and we love it. I am never disappointed with anything I order but The Big Edison burger is amazing, especially the pulled pork that comes on it. I just cant get enough! The Country Club Lemonade is delicious as well. I order it every time. Keep up the great work!

The food was horrible, cold, and not enough on the plate to feed a small child.SINCE I WROTE THIS REVIEW.Edison Restaurant, Bar & Banquet answered my review comment with just the general generic response saying oh they were sorry and wished I had voiced my issues then when it happened. Really?You truly dont think I voiced my feelings at said time of so called dinner? I got the same type of response from them at that time. Also I have since learned they had multiple issues from failing a health inspection before I attended dinner there. If I had known they even had a issue let alone failing a health inspection I truly would not have had anything from there. So just my 2 cents.

The worst service Ive had in Lee County. A friend and I were attending a workshop. We hadnt eaten anything since breakfast, it was 6:08, so we had 22 minutes to grab something. We hit the bar for something quick. Bartender totally ignored us. Try to get her attention. She said Be right with you by the time she got to us we only had time to grab a couple of sweet Teas and get to our workshop. Of course no tip. After our workshop the Restaurant Manager overheard us plotting on where to eat and mention the restaurant. I told him we tried that route and it wasnt pleasant. He tried to fix it, but we werent receptive. We politely said maybe next time. We havent been back.

I called to see if a reservation was needed. No reservation need I was told. This was going to be a celebration lunch. When my co-workers and I arrived, it reeked of bleach. Then we were told, they only had salads and pizza. Not what we planned but to late to go somewhere else. We sat down at 11:55. It was 1:08 when our the pizza came out. No apologizes from the manager. A mere 20% off the bill. Last time going here for lunch or dinner.

Always a good place to go! Really neat inside and food is very good although it has a limited menu. Wait staff has been great each time weve gone too! They also have outdoor seating.

I paid a lot of money and had a horrible experience. I would NOT reccomend this place. I paid 45.00 for thanksgiving diner. The food was not worth the money, the turkey was DRY. Cakes were gone moments into my meal, it was a frenzy for anything sweet. The carving station was filthy, the peal and eat shrimp was a pool of melted ice, paper cups and used lemons. NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!

It was ok, not great. For a Saturday night, it should have been crowded, one other table and us. Drinks were cheap during happy hour. We thought we all ordered drinks before happy hour ended, but when we got the bill, that wasnt the case. When asked about it, we were told we were wrong. At least we tried it once.

With beautiful views of sweeping greens of the golf course, we enjoyed the Mothers day brunch they put on. The food was fantastic, the service was prompt, the options almost endless, the drinks were strong enough, and the servers were friendly. We will be back!

Enjoyed a lovely event at The Edison tonight. Hors doeuvres were served- a very nice cheese & fruit tray, a vegetable tray, along with BBQ meatballs, Satay chicken, and Beef skewers. Later, stopped in lounge. A friend shared the 3 choice appetizer tray with me. The garlic parm wings were good, as were the Mahi Mahi bites that the bartender recommended. The jumbo meatball tasted great; however, was a little tough. Very nice ambiance in the lounge. Very nice evening!

We had our rehearsal dinner at the Edison Restaurant and it went perfectly. They have a great building that is in good shape and we were so happy with the communication they had in preparation for our event. They were also very accommodating with a few food sensitivities we had such as gluten free, vegetarian, and some kids meals. Andrea was very prompt and professional and easy to work with.

Late afternoon....was not able to place an order as one server was working the entire restaurant, including inside and outside patio. Not her fault. Proper staffing needed.

Its a great place to meet friends for quick drink or bar food

My wife and I decided to have our wedding here June 17th. It took us a while to choose the right spot for us, but after meeting Andrea and seeing the main Edison room we knew we had the right spot. We worked with Andrea for months and she made us feel like we were her #1 clients. She made preparing for the wedding a breeze and worked with our DJ and photographer on times. My favorite thing about the experience was Andrea’s willingness to be realistic with us as well as working with our budget and times. Weddings are only supposed to happen once and this was our first. Stumbling around planning such an event was daunting, but once again she made it easy. Once the day arrived a little bit of chaos ensued with being 30 minutes late, but Andrea didn’t even blink. We had an excellent wedding that our guests loved. The food was absolutely amazing and the waitresses, bartender, chef at the carving station were so welcoming that it made us feel like we were royalty. I highly recommend this venue for weddings or events as the give it their absolute all!

Never again. It was probably the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. We made a 5:30 reservation thinking that it would be pretty busy on the Saturday before Christmas and we had a larger group of 6 adults and 3 kids. There was maybe 4 other people in there when we showed up. Service was horrible. Our waitress didnt even have a uniform so I am assuming she wasnt even a normal staff person. There was no bartender. When we asked for crayons for the kids she brought 2 so the 3 and 5 year old got to fight over them. We never got water, my husband got the wrong beer and my sister in law had to wave her hands around to get another drink. Another group sat down about 15 min after us, but besides that the place was empty. We ordered hotdogs for the kids and 45 min later were told there was no buns. We could not find a manager despite 3 of us getting up and looking for one. At about 6:45 most of the table got food- over an hour after sitting down. My brother got a pizza but no plate. My husband ordered the shrimp p.o. boy and it had 4 shrimp on it. When he mentioned it someone brought out a cup of shrimp 15 min later when his sandwich was already cold. They totally forgot about my food and I finally got it at 7- an hour and a half after I ordered. The soup and salad were brought out with the food, not before. When I asked about it our server acknowledged that usually they do come out first, but wouldnt for us. When we finally got the bill they only took off 1 kids meal. When my mom said that that wasnt enough taken off they brought back a larger bill! Of course the 20% gratuity was on there, because I guess they deserve to be rewarded for horrible service. When we finally left the group that came in after us still hadnt gotten their food either. I am surprised this place is actually still in business.

I frequent this establishment every other Wednesday night to see the No Name Band 7pm to 11pm who are really with the band Blackfoot. They play great southern rock and pick it up for the second set. These young guys are really talented and can actually play LA Women(Doors) which no band can play in the area. No cover. So tip the band. The booze is cheap $2 for a draft,, $3 for wells and $4 for a martini. The burger and fries are good. I always get great service from the bartenders. Be patient she will get to you and give her decent tip.Its a great Wednesday night.escape.

Last year Thanksgiving buffet was great, this year not so much. Adding a $25 gratuity to a party of 3? Really!?!

We had a wedding reception there. The day we did our tasting I noticed it was on the warm side in the room. The lady that was doing our tasting acknowledged it and said that they had 2 air conditioning units down but they should be up and running by the time of the wedding.(2 weeks before).She did say she had stand up fans for the corners of the room if needed. Again it was stressed we needed the air working. As we were finishing up and walking towards the front a RAT ran out of the kitchen and behind the bar. To be polite we were not happy. Again she gave an excuse. Now the day of the wedding....Oct.20 it was hot!!! 90 guests were in the room and the bride was very uncomfortable. I asked about the ac, followed by the bride needs a fan. That same lady from the tasting. She got 1 fan for the bride. Guests were going into the restaurant bar area to stay cool. Guests left early because they were uncomfortable in the warm room. I was standing in the buffet area in an empty room drinking water. This was not a good experience at all. The bride and grooms should have gotten some money back. This is not the way to put on a wedding reception. Dishonest people!!!!

This is a great place to go after work for a salad or some cocktails I belong to the critical mass bike riding group they are at the country club is extremely hospitable and caters to our every need the views are great staff is wonderful like it alot

New years Eve dinner for 2 : $44The food was fantastic, each had a salad, entree, dessert and a glass of wine.We considered the food closer to home made than can restaurant; healthy not over salted cooking.Absolutely will be returning.
