This is a great store to get your aquatic pets. They have a great knowledge staff thats always willing to help. They have just about any fresh or saltwater fish you could think of. From live coral and sea urchin to freshwater driftwood and plants.

Such a great selection! We have been in many times due to the great staff and owner. Everyone is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They have become our go to location for our tanks and the main reason for their success.

Pretty big store with salt and fresh tanks. Some are very nicely scaped with plenty of plants or very big corals. They have a lot of corals and fish and other invertebrates. Not too many freshwater fish but at least they sell healthy looking plants. Prices are medium to high but everything looked very healthy.They also have very big used equipment section.

I have never had better service at any aquarium shop anywhere in my life than I had at the Boardroom. It is the same every time I go. These guys just want to help and they know fish.

Stopped by today to check this place out. Cleanest aquarium store I have ever been to. I was speaking with an employee who turned out to be the owner. Asked him a bunch of questions and he was enthusiastically interested in helping. Meanwhile the store was packed and he still wanted to help out. I felt bad, but tried not to keep him that long. It’s places like this that we need to support as they are doing the right thing for the fish. Keep up the good work, I will certainly be back.

Great product and plant selection. Excellent customer service. In the future I would like to see a little more variety of fish, especially freshwater, but they currently have a decent amount of species to choose from and all of the tanks in the showroom look very clean and healthy. Worth a visit!

Excellent selection of saltwater fish and coral along with a fair sized freshwater section. Very large assortment of chemicals and aqua accessories. Prices are substantially higher than other area fish stores but they also have more variety. Management is great some days and somewhat grumpy other days from what Ive noticed. Overall a good place for unique or serious aquatic fish or accessories.

Mark, Chris, and the rest of the guys always take great care of us! They tell you straight up what will work and what will likely not work for your situation. They are very patient with answering all of our questions. My wife and I are somewhat newbies to the hobby and as a salesperson I know how exhausting it can be answering question after question. These guys take it in stride and are true professionals.

I met with the owner yesterday and in my experience there I learned that he is extremely knowledgeable and cares about his customers and the livestock and he is very invested in making sure that you succeed with whatever you decide to bring home. He is even the first store ever in my life to promptly acquire a fish for me that had been very difficult to obtain. Specifically a potters wrasse. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

He denied me a sale before just because he didn’t think i was ready to have that animal and it was expensive but he cares more about the customers than making money and that is great!! Ive been going to these guys for years ever since they were over on Kenwood Lane. Very knowledgable and honest local guys. They have a nice selection of salt water and fresh water fish as well as anything you need to maintain your aquarium. If Mark doesnt have it in stock he will get it for you. They are one of the few local shops that will take items in trade or offer store credit for your equipment. If you want to support local business this is the place you should be shopping for all your aquarium needs.

For a new local Fish store I was extremely happy with the professionalism in the care that the owner took to explain to me an issue I was having with my tank and help me to go back into the right direction after a tragedy. Their store is clean. The staff is super helpful. Its easy to see why everyone goes here for their fish. I thought the prices were fair.

The main reason I love this place is because they are very organized. They also give you tips and have knowledge about everything they speak of. They also recycle, anything traded or simply turned in they dont throw out, they sell working parts at a lower rate than the new. Dante was great to work with, he taught us a couple new things for our Oscars.

I went in with my wife today and we both had completely different ideas of what we wanted. Staff was very professional and patient explaining pros and cons and going over different options. I drive here from Port Charlotte because they are the best. Super nice and willing to educate you if you dont know something. Huge selection of reasonably priced corals and fish, both fresh and saltwater.Update 8-6-2020Recently went back after having not gone for a while to stock a new 230 gallon tank I had set up. Lots has changed, the owner isnt there as often and it shows. Apestasia found in nearly all of the tanks, also didnt notice one of the fish I purchased had ich. My bad for trusting them as I used to and not quarenteening new fish, but the $400 in fish I bought that day ended up dying and wiping out about $1000 in other fish Id had for YEARS with the ich. So $1400 down the drain. Ill find a new store that has standards and sticks to them.

Top of the line aquarium experience for experienced hobbiests and newcomers as well. Mark is a great guy and really takes his time and helping anyone possible. Great selection of fish, I can usually order more, great supplies including great deals on used supplies, and they do maintenance as well so they can come set up your tank, clean it, or get it back in Tip-Top condition. Highly recommended!

Great place to get fish always helpful staff wide selection of both fresh and salt water . i like fresh water fish on the bigger side and they seem to alway have at least a few nice big ones to choose from. I would recommend checking this place out if you are interested in starting a tank and just adding to it .

I stopped by Boardroom for the first time today, after accidentally coming across the name on Google the night before and Im glad I did.Upon walking in, I could tell this was going to be a good visit. The store has a nice layout with tanks along the perimeter and huge product selection in the center..and I didnt have to walk through water on the floor like every other local store Ive visited. The prices are very reasonable, which makes it easy to support a local business.I found a piece of driftwood that I liked for a Cichlid tank that Im setting up. I had no idea that driftwood lowered pH levels and was told this would not be ideal. Any other store would have sold me the wood to make a sale. You cant beat Boardroom! I will be returning

They have a great selection of both marine and freshwater fish and supplies. I have bought freshwater plants here on multiple occasions; I have never had any parasites come with them and they are always very healthy. We just bought a 75 gallon tank and stand with a used sump from these guys and the setup is going well so far. They always have great advice and they always seem to be adding new stock to their store. There are bigger shops in town but none of them have the customer service of Boardroom. I hope people keep trying them out so they can expand even more.

Went in a couple of days ago with a water sample because my tank was cloudy. After doing an extensive water test, it was clear that I had an algae bloom that was out of control. I believe I was helped by Dawson if I remember correctly, but he was incredibly knowledgeable and walked me through the options. He took a lot of time with me and stated the pros and cons to each solution. I ultimately went with the most expensive option, UV light filter, which worked like a charm. My tank is crystal clear and it now looks like my fish are floating. Dawson did not push this option so the store would make money, but he was genuinely wanting the best for my tank. I will not go anywhere else in Fort Myers!

I just started up my saltwater hobby again and went to all the stores in the area. This one is 35 minutes from my house and I will only use this fish store. The guy is honest and does not try to up sell you. I went to three other stores and he was the only one that engaged in conversation with me. He also doesn’t charge for water testing, while all the other places do. In addition he has the best prices among all the stores. He will spend as long as you need talking to him about any issues. In fact I just started my tank, finally, and I’m adding things and he gave me a coral for free and some dosing stuff I needed for free. He’s a great guy and he’s the only one I will use around here even though he’s 35 mins from me and there is another store 10 mins from me. His customer service is well worth the drive for me.

If you are looking for a 0 BS place to do business this is the local reef store for you! Ive been coming to Boardroom for about 3 months now and I get nothing but respect and understanding from these guys. Nick is very knowledgeable when it comes to reef keeping he has helped me along the way and always takes his time with me regardless how full the store is, I can say the same thing about Mark (the owner) hes always there with his team of experts and is willing to spend time talking with you and addressing an issues no matter how big or small you may be having with your reef set up. Recently I asked for a specific type of rock he went above and beyond to get this rock for me and was courteous enough to call me to let me know the rocks are in and he has not opened the box so I can have first pick talk about customer service!! These are the same guys that did not allow me to buy fish or coral because my tank was not read what does this mean to you and me? They are not after your money the want to make you a long term family member! (They sold me corals and fish after a positive water test) I live in Lehigh about 45 min form this shop an hour on bad day, and I never fail to drive all the way from home to get this service not because I dont have one closer or they are the cheapest in town but because they love on the customer keep up the great work guys!
