I gave this a 4 because it was cold and the manager didnt think ahead and close all the giant windows/doors. The employees are awesome, food fantastic and the renovation was done well. In truth the place is a 5 Star !!!!

On arrival our car was parked by valet. This is a big plus in this area. Nice outdoor seating. Seats at table not comfortable on porch.Menu could use a revamp to include more description of menu items. Example is appetizer called crab stuffed mushrooms says crab meat and special house made creamy sauce. It comes out full of spinach. Another, Key lime pie very good but covered with coconut. Would not have ordered either one as served.Scallops and Mahi served as expected.Kitchen Manager did visit table to hear our concerns about mushrooms and addressed it appropriately.

Dined here on a Saturday in December 2020 and the service was good, and all 3 of us enjoyed our food.

My family has been coming to this location for years and years and even though the style has changed, the good experiences have not.The outdoor and open air seating is great, especially with covid going on... its the only way we will eat at a restaurant... and obviously you cant count on this, but I almost always see dolphins swimming by while eating, so keep a look out for them!Good food, staff pays close attention to details. My favorite menu item is the Mahi Mahi Tacos, blackened.... though Ive had good fish sandwiches here also.My fiance loved the spiked lemonade. It looked really good, in fact several other customers ordered it also after asking if she liked hers... several other drinks looked good also.Parking is tight and usually valet parked.... did not charge us a fee, but dont forget to tip!Keep your masks handy, they are appropriately requiring masks when not seated at a table. Hand sanitizer is available as you enter and leave.

Hands-down the best restaurant/bar in FMB!! We vacation here often, and love visiting all the local restaurants & bars. We visited in August and went to Shuckers 3 times! Nowhere else compares, from the amazing ocean views, the fun atmosphere, and the delicious food!! We cant wait to come back!!

View and atmosphere are great. Staff was very friendly. Food was quite sub par. The stuffed shrimp is stuffed with the same crab/spinach mixture as the stuffed mushrooms. Beyond that, the shrimp were tasteless. My wife had the seared scallops which she said were also tasteless. The iced teas we ordered were from an old batch, it had gone sour. So we skipped on to alcohol.

Ate here twice while visiting from Tampa Bay. The ambiance was great, the staff were super friendly, and the views were beautiful. All of the food was amazing. The beach bread was out of this world and the Rockefeller oysters bring the house down. Also, the shrimp and grouper tacos are to die for. The only dish I wasn’t blown away by was the jerk chicken, it was tasty but probably needed a little more jerk. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Fort Meyers.

Man. This place was excellent! Food was perfect! I had king crab legs, scallops and oysters. Scallops were cooked perfectly, the garlic mashed potatoes that came with it were excellent as well. The crab was hot when it came out and the oysters were big and juicy. Everything was great! I would definitely come back next time in the area. Thanks for everything. The staff was also phenomenal.

I decided to walk the beach off the downtown area and came across this extraordinary location. Its said no liquor beyond this point from the beach side. My kinda place. I enter only to be greeted by Josh the bartender. And the recommendation to my choice of beer was perfect. I must admit. Watching this bartender work this bar was impressive. Definitely this is a good recommendation to all who visit. Stop by and enjoy great service and good beer. I will be returning for more enjoyable moments.

Dinner with a view! Great staff and the most awesome lobster roll. Right up there with the one I had at Lures Fish house in NYC. Cant wait to come back.

The food was decent....I loved the chicken with beans and rice. However be aware if you order the crab legs a 1/2 pound is literally ONE leg. We made a comment about it to the edit staff and they agreed to give us another one (very small) or a free drink. REALLY!!! We did decide to buy a shirt and the women at the front desk needed some additional skill sets if she’s gonna work with the public.

It was ok. I would stick to the sandwiches though. The view of the gulf was amazing and got a good pic of the sunset over Sanibel.

I had a burger, pub style, with fries and my husband had the Frisco melt with fries, their food was good. We shared monkey bread for dessert and it was delicious! The atmosphere of the restaurant on the beach was very casual with a lot of different age groups as patrons, that was refreshing. We had a group of 10 and even though the restaurant was busy we didnt wait very long for our food. If were ever in FT Myers again we would dine there a second time.

Unfortunately a few guys came in without masks and were definitely high or something...no one stopped them and they were being obnoxious. Our relaxing night turned I to a rushed dinner and we and others left. If management would have taken steps to remove them they would have not lost good customers who would have spent some money there. Those guys bought 1 beer each. Good luck keeping good customers with the losers that you let in. They were rude and bothersome!

My husband and I dined at Shuckers for the first time and my goodness the food was great! The ambiance is gorgeous, and the staff was very professional. We would return to try other menu items.

Food was very good. The service was terrible!The deck was less than half full so it was not too busy. Our waitress messed up our order and then never came by to check on us. Our drinks were not refilled until after our food was gone. After receiving the bill, we left it on the edge of our table for 15 minutes, then I tracked down the hostess to take of it for us.

The server Terri was very kind and professional.The food was excellent and the manager was on sight helping and encouraging his employees.We will be recommending this location to our family and friends

Great Grouper and great views. Key Lime pie was one of the best. Would have given more stars but felt the pandemic guidelines were being ignored. With the numbers of the virus increasing so rapidly in Florida, I was very disappointed to see that the staff was not wearing masks, and that they were not social distancing. Both the waitress and the manager were within inches of us. They also were congregating behind the bar. This is one of my favorite restaurants, but these concern me. Pre and post pandemic it is a must! During is too risky.

If you like good service, this is not your place. Server was gone for 30 min??? Joke

We went to fort myers to escape the insanity that is chicago for 5 days. We closed the cottage all 4 nights and every night Denise was our server. Every singlenight she was super excited to see us and we were even more pumped to see her!! She is a blast and a true gem - she joined in the cheersing everyone on as they are letting loose and enjoying vacay!!!

Nice place at the beach to watch the sunset and listen to music, but after waiting over an hour for our entree the food didnt meet our expectations. We chose the Shuckers Platter which consisted of three shrimp, three small scallops, and blackened Mahi Mahi. The fish and shrimp were overcooked and unflavorful. The scallops were fresh, but tasted like Flavored Smoke.Our server did apologize and comped us a margarita, however well choose another restaurant next time.

I have went to this restaurant for 15 years, but I will never go back again.Worse service ever!!!The server forgot about us, we needed to go to bar to get another round of drinks. Server did not check on the food. They attempted to fix it, but then she forgot to get the check.Last, the valet needs to fired, worst attitude.

The stuffed mushrooms were very disappointing. Wheres the crab meat???? The bacon wrapped shrimp was ok the bacon was undercooked very chewy and the sauce to dip them in not good at all. These were appetizers $30.00 wasted. The best part of the appetizers we ordered was the Beach Bread so so good. Definitely would reccomend the Beach Bread

Quality food and environment for family or bar side. Visiting from Kansas City, my family told about about this place and it did not disappoint. The next time we come down to visit I will definitely eat here again. Even with the storm rolling in, the view was as tremendous as the food and the service.

Was asked to leave because of my wife’s service dog.We were stopped twice before we made it to the dining area then after being seated we were informed that the manager doesn’t allow any animals in the restaurant. After showing Busters ID for the third time we gave up and left.

Usually like to visit the Cottage for awesome beach bread and a great Grouper sandwich. But on this occasion, the Rum Runners were way too sweet and our waitress was waaay too slow. Im told the mens restroom only has urinals? What if you have to go #2??? The deck & stairs were ripped out so you could not walk down to the beach. And Gulfshore Grill is currently closed for major renovations.

First off the view was amazing, I loved the high top seating looking out onto the beach and the sunset. Decent selection of beer and the food was amazing and fresh.

I’ve been to this locals Beachside bar on many occasions...during afternoons at the day bar downstairs beachside and in the evening hours upstairs with music and DJ ... Staff is professional and courteous ... Martha (bartender Upstairs night crew ) handles the Crazy night crowd like a pro and she sticks to the Bars standards with A smile ! ....Downstairs at the beach bar..Greg, ( security ) deals With random tough situations off the beach front and I watched him handle the public drinking rule like a champ on one occasion ... diplomatic and tactful All the way ....regardless of the rude attitude of the out of town visitors... the only reason I knew there was an issue was due to the irate behavior of the guests ... Greg was very professional and composed. Shuckers is a great local experience for music and reasonable priced food and drinks ... it’s a part of the beach history ! Don’t miss it on your stay at Ft Myers Beach!

The short and sweet is this: the ambiance, service, and quality of this restaurant is impeccable. Now for my detail-seeking yelpers! Picture yourself walking in to an open air space with 180-degree views of white Florida sands and turquoise ocean. Youre front row for the approaching sunset, and keeping your eyes peeled for dolphins. Red lightbulbs hang from above the bar, and floor to ceiling glass doors are slid all the way open to let in that dreamy breeze. Your server smiles from behind their mask and hands you an inviting menu with charming details of Dan Reinfried who made this beach what it is today. You start with a cocktail and look over the delicious surf n turf delicacies. When they return with your drink, you take that first sip and know youre in for a fabulous evening. You joke with your server that youll put in one or two orders, and end up asking for their signature beach bread, raw oysters, oysters Rockefeller, calamari, and grouper bites. The team brings it out and yours eyes light up like a holiday as the spread fills the table and you make your first plate. From there only smiles and nods show your appreciation—you dont want to delay your next bite to rave about the food. You want more. Entrees are called out asking for grouper tacos, shrimp tacos, stuffed shrimp, a seafood platter, a swordfish sandwich, a lobster roll, and shrimp quesadillas. Somehow these are even better than the appetizers! The flavor, the freshness, the portions, all outstanding. Yet, you still want more. That night they had mango cheesecake, key lime pie, and ice cream sundaes so you get one of each. The desserts are MASSIVE, and you box up the sweet treats to enjoy the next day when you wish you were back at Shuckers. If this isnt enough to tell you how great this place is, we went back two days later and ordered everything again...the truest sign that you loved the meal and experience. The family enjoyed our experience.We had dinner there with friends three years ago that live in the area, and it was excellent. They have expanded and added a great bar area.We stopped into for a happy hour and were impressed. Great bar area and draft beer selection.

Went to eat dinner with the family at 7. When asked if they had a kids menu was given one and the waitress said we dont allow kids after 9pm but it was only 7pm. We waited deciding if we wanted to stay at a restaurant with a rude waitress who made us feel uncomfortable or leave. 5 minutes later, she never approached the table instead counted her tip money in front of us. This establishment must have better obligations than being family friendly like drinking and smoking marijuana in their restaurant on a weekday. At least have a sign or something specifying that so we dont bring the kids. If I could 0 stars, I would but never will be going there again. Train your staff how to be professional and have customer service skills.Edited to add: the waitress was not drinking or smoking that I could tell but again she never came to the table. It was likely the customers.

This restaurant has amazing views!!! We went for breakfast and it was very nice to sit and enjoy the scenery. The food was also very good. I had french toast and it was a great size.

The food is fine, not exceptional. The food is slightly pricier than other nearby restaurants for the same selection. The atmosphere is very nice. Shucker’s shares space with a beach bar below and The Cottage, where live music is played every night. Fun to dance to.

I took my sister who was visiting from Italy and a couple of friends.Got food poisoning from eating Clam Chowder and oysters.Also my sister found a hair in her soup.Its was Monday nite, the restaurant is very pretty. I thought I was going to die, I got so sick, be careful eating here.I did noticed my soup was extremely salty... I mean it was good but extra salty.

Enjoyed a lovely meal with a perfect view of the beach and ocean. While we were a little disappointed in the crab cakes the rest of the food was good. Our server was really sweet and prompt. Id recommend eating here.

Shuckers (even before it was Shuckers) was our favorite place on the beach for about 10 years before Covid-19. We bring visitors there and had always recommended it to others. We are full-time residents and under normal circumstances, go the beach regularly. We went to Shuckers today for the first time since the pandemic started. Everyone was friendly and the food was good. However, we were very concerned about the lack of face masks by the staff, which in our view, reflects a lack of concern for the safety of both staff and customers. Additionally, both our server (order taker) and food deliverer (two separate individuals) got way too close in our opinion when interacting with us. The food deliverer needs to be within arm’s length momentarily probably to actually deliver the food; the order taker does not. This is a new world and adjustments need to be made. In fact, when our order deliverer brought food out, he commented on what he was bringing and actually spit on my hand. Not intentionally, but had he been wearing a mask, it would not have happened. Again, in today’s environment, it’s much more of a concern than it would have been six months ago. These are some of the reasons why Florida is one of the leading states in new cases right now. We won’t be back while the pandemic is going on, unless the serving staff starts wearing masks. We went to the Pierside bar earlier this week and their staff are wearing masks. We felt much safer and if we’re at the beach, we’re much more likely to go there.
