Wonderful park with some of the est views of the George Washington BRidge you can see. There is a small museum there which is free but accept donations. Lots of interesting small exhibits there about the historic park. That museum is now closed due to COVID but will open again in time. The grounds itself are also nice with sme nice trails and even some cannons. There was also a flat fee at the front entracne years ago but that has been changed over to paying at a muni meter once you park. As there are very few muni meters and lots of spaces, you may find yourself waiting on a long line to pay during peak days and times. You can exit the park and ake a short walk right onto the GWB walk/bike pathway which is a great experience. It does get windy up there so stay warm.

Beautiful park.Serene and peaceful with a flair of history. No direct access to hiking trails. Can walk across the GWB on foot. To do that, go outside the park; turn right; go North; the walkway will be on your right side. Very pleasant.

This place needs some TLC and soon! Assuming some of the revenue comes from the pay to park machine, that was not working on this day. Nice walking trails with many trip hazards. The only descent overlook that wasn’t blocked by large over growth was the GWB. This one view is worth the trip. All other views of the Hudson are overgrown and somewhat blocked. Most lights on the trails have been removed or are broken and park benches along the trails need to be replaced or repaired. Litter is in plain site around the trails. It seems as though there is zero maintenance at this once beloved spot. So sad.

Fort Lee Historic Park is made up of a pretty set of trails, many of them shaded and surrounded with woods, so even in the hot weather its a nice place to walk around. There are also some fort-like spots and a visitors center. Check the schedule, as the center doesnt seem to be open some days, but the park is open 7 days a week. In some spots theres a view of the NYC skyline and the GW Bridge.

Nice place. Doesn’t have a lot of activities to be done here. You can take a small walk around the park to get the view of Hudson River and Harlem and other parts of NYC.The park doesn’t have lot of stuffs from the war but does have couple of cannons and soldier hut. Of course this places gives you grand view of the GWB!!

Fort Lee Park is an amazing place to spend a nice quiet time after work. The best time to go to the park is during dusk. The view of George Washington Bridge is amazing. You have the nice view of Hudson River and both level of the GW bridge. There is enough space for car parking. However, you have to pay for the meter (not too expensive: $1-$2 per hour). The office closes around 5 pm.

The visitor center is open Wednesday through Sunday but there are walking trails with good views of the Hudson River, the George Washington bridge, and parts of the original Fort Lee and its cannon batteries that George Washingtons army unsuccessfully used to defend the Hudson River from the advancing British navy.A nice shaded park good for a walk and to visit a bit of American history. See the pictures for a sample of what you can see there.Parking is cheap at $1 or 2/hour depending on whether it is a weekday or weekend. Just enough to discourage use as a free carpooling spot and contribute a few dollars toward upkeep.

This is not the best park Ive been to but it is really good. Great views of the Hudson River and Yonkers to the east. What it lacks in remoteness it makes up for with long trails running north/south and some steep but not difficult climbs up the Palisades. There is some wildlife but youll never get out of the beer can zone. The beer can zone is that stretch of trail where people carrying beer will drink it then toss it aside, usually no more than a mile from a parking area. Theres an awful lot of trash in the trails too, people seem able to carry it in but just cant bring themselves to carry it out. The park is also right on the parkway, so theres lots of car noise as well. But none of that is so bad I wouldnt recommend this park. If youre up for some nice views, a challenging bike ride or a surprisingly long walk so close to a city, this park is worth checking out.

Went to the park early in the morning in Sept. It was not crowded. There are a couple of lookouts over the Hudson but that isnt the main draw of the park. It is more historical, there is an encampment, old looking buildings. There are several paths for walking and the scenery is nice. There is an educational center it was closed at the time. There is plenty of parking

Love this park. Walking distance from Manhattan but deer and groundhogs and chipmunks, bluejays, mockingbirds. And this is the grumpy old man in me coming out, all the visitors seem to treat it for what it is - a semi-rural haven in an all too urban place.

The park has good walking trails, for those who want to get some exercise.I saw some pretty neat wildlife, two Peregrine Falcons and some whitetail deer, which were bedded down and allowed me to walk past them only about fifteen feet away. The historical aspect of the park seemed a little bit boring to me,but people who are into history would like it,especially if they like military history from the early days of the US.Heres what I Loved: the amazing view of the George Washington Bridge and,if you follow the cliff side trail to the south end of the park you have an awesome unobstructed view of Manhattan.I was less than thrilled with the following ,If you are paying for parking with cash the kiosk says that on Sunday you must pay for a minimum stay of four hours, which is $5.00.I had nothing smaller than a $10.00 bill. The machine doesnt give change,so I had to put ten dollars in,which gave me six hours, but I only stayed for an hour.Would I go back? You Betcha!

This is actually a very long narrow park with many different areas. If you go down by the docks on busy summer days you might have to pay to park. Other areas further down you do not have to. There are a few good hiking trails. I take my dogs down here all the time. Sometimes at the little beach area. Sometimes to just look at the bridge. It’s very photogenic and a perfect place for a picnic.

Nice little park and good views of the city but Not a great place to start if you really want to see the Palisades. The Carpenters LOOP trail (recommended and posted on the Palisades website) is littered with garbage and at some points runs directly along the highway (literally a couple feet from passing cars). Even when youre in the forest part of the trail, you always hear the cars. You dont get a sense of nature that much as the trail runs through some small roads and the other parks. Id recommend driving further up alongside the Palisades to the northern tip to really see the Rocky cliffs and more nature.

Oh WoW, my first stroll here on this 17th 9/11 memorial day...I spotted what appears to be 2 Doe! I was soooo surprised and delighted to see them, as this was totally unexpected! This is a nice park to walk/hike. One of the Doe traced my steps along the river front, from behind the visitors center/ museum up to the smaller terrace, then it dove off into the trees as another park-goer approached. Its awesome how one could just immerse into the wild in less than a miles walk!

Ive always loved this park since I was a kid! Recently visited and was very happy to see the museum is still there and open..where I got my first ink set and declaration of independance, where my parents actually got me interested in history (my least favorite subject as a kid). I always love seeing the tanks and old forts/houses along the trail! But even if you arent very into the history, there are lovely views of the bridge and city and plenty of spots to sit and take it in.

A few revolutionary war exhibits highlighting locations and how weaponry was used at this location. Went in June and there were gophers and chipmunks all over the place.
