Great park for a first date. My husband took me here 31 years ago the very first night we met. We were in town for an event so we visited the park to reminisce.

One of my favorite places. Beautiful, historic park. Soldier Creek winds and babbles through the lower park. Works Administration structures from the 1930s are still in place. The upper park has a modern playground, volleyball courts, and cooking and picnic areas. Parking areas and the main walking trail feature new asphalt (2016). The bridges are great for senior pictures and engagement photos. There is also an historic disc golf course that winds through the woods, across the creek and over the lower park. The park is also a situated along the Fort Dodge trail system providing a number of recreational activities.

Nice clean park, family fun for everyone with many activities. Bike/walking trails, disc golf, playground equipment, small creek and woods to explore. Bring some food to grill out and stay the whole day.

I love this park

Good trails to ride on. A frizbe gulf course, and a small river that runs thru the park so you could go swimming too.

Great park, love the bridges, water over the roadways, and awesome play structure for kids. Also great frisbee golf on the wooded hillside. Love the old RR path, especially love crossing into historic Oakland Cemetery for a great walk.

Clean, family friendly, nice newish playground equipment. Nice running/bike trail. Quaint little river running through it. Nice frisbee golf course as well! Plenty of picnic tables/shelters and even has a sand volleyball pit. We love spending time here!

Its a great place for kids older then 5 because the playground had some areas in which a younger child could fall and get hurt and freebie golfers dont always show concern forthechildren playing and running around in the freebie golf area

Community gem, from family reunions, volleyball, disc golf, or the trail. Fun for all.

73 year old man taking close up pictures of the children that were playing. We called the police and they deleted most of his pictures. He had other pictures of children from other parks on his camera. Be aware of this man!

Beautiful park and fun trails

Scenic park, good for walking, playground, frisbee golf, just a nice park to visit complete with creek to drive through. Drive through is currently closed off due to road conditions.

Extreme beauty in the heart of town!

Been one of my favorite parks since I was a kid and now I bring my kids. There is alot to do here for the space.

Wouldve gave it five stars but is currently under construction right now which limits you to about half the park. The great place to take the kids to play!

Nice park for kids and catching minnow and crawfish

Must enter this park on the west side, gps took us to the east and there ia no entrance there. Small playground, but lots of shade and room to run.

Pretty little park with a nice hiking trail and some wild life. Especially like the stream.
