Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020. 80 degrees, overcast, light breeze. About 1 mile all around the trail, trying every exit. Quite lovely, very peaceful.

My favorite local park! Jefferies Creek offers a soothing walk through beautiful bottomland forest with scenic overlooks of deep fishing holes and meandering creek beds. If you are the aquatic type take advantage of the convenient kayak/canoe launch and explore the creek from the water! Bring the kids for a romp on the playground, one of the only fully shaded playgrounds in the Florence park system! ( It is bottomland and creekside so bring bug spray in summer!)

Theres a small playground with a slide, a few swings, and some monkey bars but not enough for more than ten children to play on. Despite the small size its very peaceful and my year old loved playing on the equipment. Some things to be cautious of is it is in a nature park so bring bug repellent and be wary of any snakes, and check the slide before letting your kids down it (it is metal and can get hot when the sun peeks through the trees and heats the slide)I havent explored the nature park trails yet but if I do I will be sure to update the rating accordingly.

Been walking and biking through the park for years. I try to pick up litter before creek delivery. Fishing trash and all types of plastic. Creek is polluted with all types of pollutants. Too bad please help

Park is maintained, though it seems that it hasnt seen any sort of operational attention for years. The tire-swing is faded out and the other childrens-equipment has seen better days. The park is somewhat dark, but otherwise it is a nice walking area. Be aware that there is a significant amount of mud due to the soft ground.

I enjoy going here if I just want to walk and be around nature. I only give it 3 stars bc theres not much to it. There are 2 ways to access/openings to the trail. One has a decent sized parking lot that could fit around 10-15 cars & at the opening there is a small kids play area with jungle gym & swings. The other is not even a parking lot, its 2 spaces by a sign that says Jeffries Creek.Hope this helps.

Its clean and plenty of fun. I enjoy going on the river in the kyak for the most part. They do have a splash pad and some great fishing spots if you willing to take a trip up river. The area is beautiful and they have some nice walking trails to go on. Only issue is parts of the river need clearing and you have to be careful where you take the kids to swim. Still, great place and worth a day trip.

Nice park for the kids and to walk around but the water is flat out disgusting no telling whats in it. They have a tennis court which is clearly for white people. Perhaps they should add a basketball ball court but i doubt it because then more blacks will be out there

Possibly one of the oldest parks in Florence, this park still offers much to family and friends looking for a peaceful and quiet setting to take their children to play. Also offering amenities such as tables and chairs, one has the option of hosting events with ease. I personally would like to see effort towards renovations soon because I absolutely love this park. Not to mention its always shady!

This is a nice small, and secluded park. My late husband and I would take the kids to picnic and fish here. It is clean and boasts a nice nature trail. Fond memories can be made here. Its not far from the main road, tucked away in an affluent area. Its a great place for a walk, jog or pet walk.

Pretty and seemed nice but I couldnt find a place to park, maybe I pulled up to a back side, not sure, it was my first time their. And I wasnt sure if it was closed, if so, may be due to Matthew because I seen multiple trees fallen. I didnt go to far in the park because I didnt see or hear anyone and got worried I wasnt supposed to be in their. It was around 2 in the afternoon.

A quaint off the road forest enclosed park. Great on hot days if youre looking for fun in the shade. The real gems are the nature trails that lead off the rear of the park down to another area by the creek where you could easily grill out or utilize the large enclosure with several large built-in tables for get togethers or birthday parties. Several small wooden bridges allow passage over the creek bringing together a wonderful woodland network of naturally presurved Carolina wetlands and forest.

A beautiful setting, but very poorly maintained. Trash everywhere, including countless old fishing lines, plastic containers and bags, and a bra (I hate it when my bra just falls off when Im at the park). One of the walking trails is blocked by fallen trees. We turned back from the other branch of the trail because a possibly drunk, but in any case very loud and profane person was screaming at the top of his lungs while playing loud music from his pickup truck and we decided to just give him some space.
