Played here yesterday for the first time. Nice course, good mix of relaxed holes and hilly and challenging holes. This course has more par 5s/3s and less par 4s which was interesting to me. Clubhouse was very nice with indoor practice centers and fitting shop. But we were playing 3-some and we were paired with a single which was fine with us, but he decided to join a group in front of us and play 5-some. It actually slowed us a bit but it was acceptable.Im willing to go back some time next year.

As a beginner (and general hack,) I adore this course. Its reasonably priced, it is reasonably well cared-for, but most importantly - its fun. The pace and design of the course is as close to perfect as I can imagine for a player of my caliber. Fairways are nice and open, so you dont feel like youre crossing paths with other parties. Its the right amount of challenging without becoming frustrating. Highly recommended.

Great lessons here. Took them last summer and it took about a year to start working, but that was me, not the instructor. Overall, the course is good and the staff is very friendly.

Applied for a job about 1 1/2 months ago, the staff said that they would call back within a week(no call). Then on my own I called them back after that week and the staff said they will wait another 2 weeks to make a decision. I waited that 2 weeks and still no call. From what I am seeing on the reviews people are agreeing with me and agree on staff being rude and unorganized. If you are looking for a job here don’t because frankly they just won’t call you back. I could of gotten a job a long time ago by now waiting on them to call back. At least call back saying that you don’t have a position(even though they did because they had hiring signs on their driving range).

Wouldn’t allow me to book a single player tee time, told me to do it online and online only lets you book 2+ players. I have played there 5x this year as a single player. I understand these are different times, but I paid for a platinum membership and should be able to book a single player tee time.

Nice price for range balls and the balls are mostly in good condition. Three putting greens with a greenside bunker between two of them. I havent played the course this year but was one of the few that remained open for most of the lockdown.

What a fun course. Not my favorite but I did enjoy myself. A very odd mix of Par 5 and par 3 holes on the course. It was only my 12th round of golf ever and shot a 97 through 18. Only downside is the turn from 9-10. Not crazy about the halfway house and port-a-john. Not sure how normal that is but it was the first time seeing that for me.

Absolutely a great staff. Extremely friendly and helpful. Course has a nice mix of holes. Like many Midwestern courses, there are more flat holes than you might prefer but, those are nicely offset by sections that pass through hilly forests and across some wetlands. Houses are nearby but set back (unlike too many courses) far enough as to not be a factor in design. Very nice practice facilities with mats, grass and (in a pleasant surprise) sand bunker areas. The $3.50 meal (with paid green fees) hits the spot at the turn. GPS in each cart is a nice feature. The screens also offer you a fly-by of each hole. The only complaint, and not the clubs fault at all, is the poor care that is taken, of the course, by the patrons. Fill your divots and fix your ball marks, people! The course deserves better care than people give it but, all-in-all a wonderful place with a great staff and a true value (winter rates under $30). Will definitely be back.

Although played course years ago when my kids were on school teams, this year so far just the driving range. First, their $9 large bucket is reasonably sized and they do have stalls where now the overhead heaters have worked (whereas years ago most did not). Have used both the heated covered and outdoor driving range but so far only on mats allowed. Of note, be prepared for many cigarette smokers (theres cigarette pots in about every covered stall). Also, this has irked me for years but several covered stalls are reserved for club shop sizing use, storage, or whatever. What this means is its first come first serve and you have to walk up and down the covered range hoping to find one thats free which may not be available. One time I set up in the shop stall and looked up on the wall and one sign amongst many said it was reserved for store use. Hope to play the course later this year but what I recollect from years ago is some very elevated greens and a looong walk to the first tee. Hope those rumors the course closing in 2019 arent true as google found. But the front desk says it isnt so. Well see...

Played there yesterday and it took 4 hours and 40 mins for me and my buddy. Course was wet, but not unplayable. They need a ranger to speed up play. Two many twosomes that take forever to hit the ball. And the slowest greens I have played in 40 years of play.

The course is just okay... but the thing that makes me give it 2 stars is the fact that they don’t have any water jugs anywhere on the course. When it’s 95 and humid, there should 100% be water available to guests on the course. The only other course I’ve ever had this problem is this company’s other course, Ironwood. When I asked them why they didn’t have any water out there they gave the lame excuse of “kids in the neighborhood vandalize the water coolers.”

Couldnt believe the rude attitude of Dave in the shop. Called and he was a total smart ass snob on the phone, just the same when we showed up. felt like we were bothering him to get signed in to play. I felt like I was a hobo at a country club talking with him. Ive played 41 years and never have I felt so unwelcome. This is not the golf environment that you want to be acting like that. Golf is on the way out so every willing golfer should be welcomed with a smile not a snobby attitude. I wont be spending another dime at Grey Eagle....and I may be the only golfer to play there that fixes a ball mark. Too bad because its challenging exciting layout....even though its RM Thompson typical trashy condition.Good luck surviving Grey Eagle....future Housing Addition.

If you are looking for a place to improve your game, this is not it. The facilities are old and the course is under terrible condition. The course and range fees are overpriced for the experience you are getting. In addition, the staff is not friendly(aka Dave). I dont think Ill ever play here again.

Great staff - especially the gentleman who was once at Kiawah Island. The course was not in good condition when we played. The greens were extremely bumpy and there were many unrepaired ball marks. Rough needed to be mowed badly (lost a couple of balls that we knew were close to fairway - just could not see them). The course was certainly not worth the $42 charged (each). Practice facility looks to be excellent. We hated the fact that the carts would not let us drive to ladies and senior tees on many holes. Parking on cart path and walking 50 to 75 yards to tee box is not great for a senior with walking issues.

I would not play here. They will steal your money!!! I booked a 4 some online for Saturday Aug 25th. When we arrived to play, I told them I was paying for 3 people. So they charged my card for all 4 for $132. I told them that was wrong and needed to charge me for 3. They said the 1st transaction would not go through. Well, both transactions went through and cleared my bank. 1st transaction $132.00 and 2nd transaction $94.25, which was corrrect. On Tuesday 28th, I called and talked with Don about both transactions clearing my bank account. He said that was impossible because it didnt show up on his transactions sheet from Saturday 25th. He also said, if its true, he will take care of it. Well, my bank is fighting them for $132. I have the receipt for the $94.25 to prove the correct amout. They never gave me a receipt for $132 because he told me he deleted that transaction before running my card again for $94.25. Needless to say, I believed him. Lesson learned! On that same day, we were only able to play 9 out of 18 because a huge storm came through a flood the course. I was able to receive a rain check for $44 for the 4 some. My son wanted to go back so we could play the back 9 and we had a rain check. So I booked a tee time for Saturday Sept 15th online, which is cheaper, $31.00 per person. I gave the guy at the counter the rain check card for $44. He told me that was only good for myself. Im thinking, $31 for me to play 18, so that leaves $13 toward my son fees for 18. They wouldnt give the $13 credit towards my sons fees. So, I had to pay $31 for my son. I wanted to leave but my son wanted to replay the course again and since we couldnt play the back 9 the 1st time. I just didnt want to give them anymore money.I can tell you this. It doesnt bother me that they are closing after next year. I will never play golf there again! They are probably losing money becuse it poorly ran or someone is pocketing money. Like my $132. RN Thompson will know about this as well.

Decent course, but horribly managed. First time I went there this year, the sprinklers kept coming on WHILE we were playing! One of the greens was so soaked from the sprinklers it was completely unplayable due to the standing water. Also, on MULTIPLE occasions at both here and Ironwood (under same management company) I called in asking if they would be able to fit in a single player, to join up with a twosome or threesome, only to be told we dont take tee times, but come on out and well fit you in, then when I arrive, suddenly theyre all booked and cant fit you in anywhere. My wife had bought me a groupon book for several free passes, but Ive barely able to use any because they never want to accomodate single golfers. At this point Im ripping up the free passes and gladly paying the many other nicer golf courses in Hamilton County.
