Place has lots of potential. The relationship between disc golfers and dog walkers/walkers/runners is awesome. Both very respectful to each other. From disc golfers perspective the course, could use some adjustment but the dangers of water are lots of fun. My home course.

This is a park thats amazing for dog owners. River for them to play in tons of open space for them to run. Loved growing up next to this place.

There is a fun 9 hole Disc Golf course at Vander Yacht Park. This is a good long range course compared to what Im use to playing. Great place to practice distance shots. Grass can be a little long and damp so I recommend boots.

Loved swimming in the river with the kids! Be sure to wear water shoes though because there are big rocks on the bottom. Great place for dogs.

This is a nice park with river access. Its flat for an easy walk and perfect for bringing dogs! Seasonal flooding leaves freshwater pools for pooch swimming, or a quick side trip to the Nooksacks silty banks. Im sad to see many of the beautiful old oak trees were recently cut

Open, beautiful place to walk, level ground for the most part. Off leash park. Fun for all! And there is river access all along the bank and it’s PERFECT.

A great park to spend some time with family and friends!

Basic open space grass and some trees. There is no restroom or drinking/ handwashing water. There are a few picnic tables and sitting benches. There is a gravel path around the park for walk/run. The park is all off leash for dogs and there is Nooksack River beach access when water level is low enough. Dogs like it here.

Its really peaceful at night and during the day people come with all kinds of dogs

Great fields for disc golf or frizbee I geuss because you could only play imaginary disc golf here. Still a great park but a rather mediocre review. # First world problems. Please like this review so my child can eat.

Its a really nice place to go and relax, also can swim in the water if you want. Lots of place for dogs to run around and have fun. Its a really pretty view in some spots. Summer is when I normally go so its warm and perfect spot for shade when reading or doing whatever you want really. Barely any people go though, so very quiet too.

I like this park. You get access to the Nooksack river, old trees, a frisbee golf range and its right next to historic downtown Ferndale. Theres an easy flat gravel trail and easy parking in a gravel parking lot. I just wish that the placards around the park had something on them. They probably used to but dont anymore.

Could use more holes for disc but a nice little spot next to the Nooksack river.

Best dog park Ive been to. Open so I can keep an eye on my dog and she, being a fraidy dog can run from anything scary (like a leaf). Lots of room, maybe half mile on the trail around the perimeter. A good sized pond and the Nooksack river for water dogs to play in on hot summer days. Has parking and free doggy bags. Most importantly, we have met some really nice dogs and people.

Off leash park for dogs with river access. My dogs love it got a gravel circle to walk around with is roughly little longer then half a mile.

The little pond there is brimming with life Channel Catfish, Bluegill,Sunfish,and Largemouth Bass Ive caught a 6 pound 15 inch Whopper there haha

Its a nice smaller park with a circular trail. It also has a set up for frisbee golf. I go to walk my dog on level ground.

Disc golf park. Dog Park.generally flat across the park. Large pond that can eat your discs. A little more challenging than cornwalls disc golf course. Nooksack River runs along the South edge of this park createing its southern border. Depending on the river height you may be able to walk down to the bank otherwise in certain places when the river is high it is extremely treacherous if your dog wants to go down to the river there may be Muddy Banks that keep you from getting down or getting back up very easily. I came across a person smoking meth once down on the river banks, so be prepared for anyting. I just started a conversation with the person and he volunteered that information. There is no playground and limited picnic tables. I came here to use the restroom but I didnt see one so pack a a trowel and plenty of toilet paper, jk

Beautiful spot....lots o dogs!!! Very nice!

Great disc golf course, however dont be surprised if you lose a disc in the water. If youre looking for something other than playing at Cornwall, this is a great course this is slightly more challenging.

This is a large riverfront offleash dog park and frisbee golf course. River access varies with seasons and water level. The park is not fenced, but is very large and relatively insulated from traffic. Eagle and great blue heron sightings.Frisbee golf course has foot pads at throwing locations. There is a flat gravel trail in a loop around the park.

Nice Park. I went there several times this last summer, hung out down on the River!! My friends dog loved it too, playing fetch till he got exhausted. ;-)

I was tempted to give it a one star so nobody else finds out about it. Total hidden gem. Tables, grills, disk golf, dogs allowed off leash, cool trees, maintained walking path, a river, nuff said.

No bathrooms. No covered tables to escape the rain. No playground equipment. Quite a bit of fishing garbage on the river front, but beautiful river location off the Nooksack. It appears to mostly be a dog park, a fishing spot, and a place for walkers.

I visited mostly the south side of the park, because i was looking for a place to play fetch with my dog in the water. Beautiful setting, mown field with a nicely kept gravel path that wends through some riverside trees. There were multiple access paths to the Nooksack. With relative ease we found a place where other dogs wouldnt interfere with our game and where we wouldnt interfere with people who were fishing. The current isnt too strong for a healthy 55-lb dog, and right now in August, the riverbed is shallow enough that she didnt have to swim as much anyway. Well be back!
