Fun place. Diverse crowd. Some seating in front bar, but very few tables near dance floor. Hard to find a place to put my drink or sit. I love you, boogie fever!!!!, please increase your seating options.

The dance floor is quite large and lit with a massive disco ball. The colorful lights make it SUCH a fun environment!! The front is a smaller bar, and the back is where the bigger dancefloor is. A very friendly and professional coat rack service. Plenty of room to move around and a really great crowd! Would recommend highly to anyone!

Super expensive to get in sometimes. Plus they charge you a fee to use your credit card at the door if you dont have cash. So instead of paying $15 to get in the Saturday night before Halloween (because I didnt get the memo to wear a costume) it cost me $16.50. Not a lot of beer options to choose from. But the atmosphere was cool. They did a good job on sound and lighting. It almost felt like being in a night club in Vegas for a moment

I came here for the music and as long as the DJ stayed in the 70s and 80s it was a winning combo. When he strayed , it was evident on the dance floor. The bartenders I dealt with were attentive. Security is there but I didn’t pay them much attention. As for the patrons, well it’s clear there can be a bit of an age gap. Younger women who came to have fun with their friends and older men who think it’s still 1979 and disco is king and probably keep coming here in the hopes of meeting someone. I can’t recall seeing any women alone in their 50s here the night I went.

Great place to entertaining wonderful and helpful stuff, disco is always awesome but sometimes music is tooooooo loud , you can hear only beat not music and next day your ears are in painfully but anyway I really recommend it.

I used to come here 1-2 times a week. Haven’t been here for almost 4 years, since the owner changed everything about it. Now it’s boogie fever again. But we certainly weren’t welcomed, like people who had been faithful supporters for many years, rather treated like suspicious strangers. Don’t worry, Mark. We won’t be back to bother you. God bless.

I must first compliment the design of this place! Very nice! The crowd is even friendly but the overall vibe is very bias the DJ is not accommodating all races of people make the same kind of music so the selection of music should none bias! I watched people request music that was denied do to genre but then a record would come on that was not that particular genre! Im just saying if your gonna cater to a certain crowd then be upfront about it so that people wont come here under the illusion that its gonna be authentic to all races because all races of people make good music! And yes I am white lol

So much potential and clearly terrible management. Ordered a beer on tap at the bar, it was clearly bad/stale/skunked - told the bartender who literally said, yeah well thats probably why its on special. (What?) Asked if I could have something else and she said no because I already paid and she wouldnt be able to charge me the difference. (What?) After some back and forth she offered me a bottle of PBR, I accepted, I take a sip and I kid you not this beer is clearly skunked too - I look at the date on the bottle. It expired in March. Didnt have the energy to argue anymore. Wont be going back. Side note: Why is there a $5 cover?

They are not going to be in business long. Only way they are keeping afloat is by charging for booths and then not honoring the reservation. Unfortunate because the concept is great.

Music is good, Place is well decorated bartender is good and so is the DJ.it’s a shame that despite spending all this money The other staff working there is quite horrendous. They lack professionalism and common decency. They are a bunch of push-arounds with in your face attitude. While standing at the bar guarding the drinks for my friends Who were dancing on the floor security guy snuck up behind me and while giving way to other guest to order drinks at the bar counter he punched me in the back and when I reacted he said you were in my space which I couldn’t understand why a security guard is standing where the customers are ordering drinks. And due to lack of table space to put your drinks that is the only counter you can use to place your drinks since it is not polite to take your drinks to a dance floor. I asked him you still didn’t have to punch me you could just tap on my shoulder and I will move. I insisted on speaking to the manager regarding the incident and was told there’s no manager on site.Luckily for me I do have a hospitality business Which is 24-7-365 days and we go out of our way to provide customer service and a well trained conflict resolution staff. After all it is the customer who pays my bill. My support staff is extremely professional and courteous and only shows up when necessary. This, in your face and rude attitude Does not make sense.

I headed up the new years party with a group of friends. Before deciding on boogie fever I read their reviews and was a little concerned. Called and talked to mgt, got different answers from them so I booked a booth. We had an incredible time!! Experienced none of the negative review comments! Great place to shake your groove thang to old school funk!

Quite a terrible experience showed up for a bachelorette party with four girls and two boys we thought it will be good experience after dinner to go and dance a little. There was a five dollar cover charge and drinks overpriced. once we paid money to have a table At the entrance The attitude of the staff was quite obnoxious as he was on our faces repeating himself again and again and yelling everybodys gonna pay, everybodys gonna pay Several time despite us taking care of the expense. Once inside dance floor head familiar faces Since I was here before with my friends looks like these folks are paid dancers. Since I was the designated driver I had to pay for the water and watch my friends stuff.A security guy came and stood right in front of our table and once we asked that hes blocking us from going to the dance floor he said this is my spot and thats where am gonna stand it was rude and very unprofessional since two of our friends were very young we wanted to keep an eye as couple of other security guys were trying to chat up with them. Later on I was told by my friends that the security guy wanted them to move to a different stage since they have good moves and more people will be able to watch them. It seemed quite harassing and I would not recommend to anyone to deal with this garbage. Once I asked to speak to the manager I was told there is no manager we handle the club and if you have a problem you can leave. It was enough for us after $230 down the drain.Downtown Detroit seems to have much better options and no harassment by bunch of pumped up staff. It was quite obvious, that they were not interested in our business and trying to go out of the way to drive people out I would not recommend it for an event especially if you have young girls with you.

This is the first time I have been to this establishment and I truly had a great time. The staff is very kind and they play a great mix of dance music. The owner Mark is very kind and very professionally involved watching over his place. I will be returning to this place in the future. I highly recommend this place for birthdays and gatherings!

Went to the Grand Opening and it was an awful experience from the moment we walked in until we decided to leave early because the service was horrible! We walked in and stood where the Wait to be Seated sign was (the place was only 20% occupied at this point) and we waited 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged we were there. The waitress told us there was no seating available but we could put our name on a list and we can wait until the dance section of the restaurant opens. We sat on the waiting bench and my Fiancee went up to the bar counter to order a drink while we waited. He stood there next to the counter for 45 minutes before being waited on. As we sat on this bench we witnessed at least 30 other people enter at different times and stand and wait by the Wait to be Seated sign and not be acknowledged for a very long time. It started to become who ever was waiting in lines job to notify the newcomers of the wait and the long wait for a drink. Some left. Note: The waitress that told us that we could be seated on the waiting bench and she would take our drink order......never saw her again. The same service when we entered the dance part of the restaurant. I imagine this place has potential to make money, but they are not Service Friendly and I am a very patient and understanding person. I would be embarrassed to call this my establishment.

This place is something else lol. The music is danceable, though nothing progressive, just hits from yesterday. The front doorman was really rude. The crowd was racially diverse, which was cool to see. The dance floor lights up, which was also cool. Its loud.Overall I hope I dont have to return soon.

I think everyone would enjoy dancing to rock and roll over anything disco. If the DJ had a Good selection of music with a beat (that moves the feet) it would be a much more enjoyable place.

So we call ahead of time and reserve seating and prepay for 10 guest. Half of our party arrives at 8pm, first in entire building and they were told where our reserved booth was. They went in and verified location. We decided to stay in main bar till entire group arrived and front desk person said that was fine. We all come in at 8:45 and realized the booth we were at originally was switched. Brian Kay the MANAGER told us the current person in that booth called and asked for that booth and even though we were here first we didnt check in with Brian so we get moved to a smaller booth. Very poor customer service. We pre pay $100 and bring 20 people yet there isnt anything u can do??? How about a round of drinks on the bar since your clearly unprofessional and not concerned with doing the right thing for the customer!! Your front staff doesnt communicate with you therefore the customer suffers! I have been to this bar many times in the past 4 years even when it was red door and this will be my last. Honestly being in customer service for 26 years I dont think Ive ever asked a customer Are yiu going to let me talk?Really? No

The music was good, dance floor is fun, but I really only enjoyed it because of the people I was with, not really anything special. What really annoyed me, was the cover charge, and then when I went to the bar. First bottle of Labatt was $5, then the second was $5.50, third one was $6! $5 for a bottle of beer is enough to be annoyed, but then every bartender gave me a different price each time just made me call it quits.

I’ve never experienced such rude service! Yelled at my parents, who do not get out much, just for asking for a couple of drink orders. Ruined our whole night out. I’ve worked in the food service industry for years and have never spoken to a customer the way the bartenders did to them.

Boogie Fever is the best. Yes, the DJ doesnt play any of the songs you request, but its still the best place to go for great dancing for anyone over 20. (Twenty-year-olds like it too, no doubt. But Im not 20 and I like a little better mix than a room full of kids.) If the DJ were more responsive to requests, that would take it over the top. The owner is making a lot of changes that are generating lots of interest in all age groups.

They played a couple good songs, like Oh LLamour by Erasure, that was pretty sweet. Wish they played more italo-disco, not lame disco. They dont accept credit cards, and theres an atm at the front which is STUPID. The decor is cool, but it just reminds me of a wedding celebration. The disco dance floor is tint and crammed with fat old over tanned cougars with big saggy floppies, in little tight dresses. YUK. And of course like any other club a bunch of creepy arabs and mexican guys wait in the outskirts! LAMEEEEE
