Great layout.. one of the best in North Florida... super friendly staff. This course used to be one of the best maintained courses in the area.. BUT it now needs some serious maintenance.. not sure if thats a result of covid-19... or if it is under different management. Its worth playing for the layout.. even though the condition is poor.

If the course was better maintained it would be a very nice track. Design is great, but greens and bunkers need some care. The course was absolutely dead as well, we only saw two other groups during the morning.

Great place to play but a little too expensive

Im an avid player that plays and has played at nearly every course in N FL over the last 10+ yrs. This is a golfers course. Definitely an Arnold Palmers best-in-class designed courses of his portfolio. Staff is excellent, Pros are perfect, and the food/bar is exceedingly better than you think it would be. The Golf Club at North Hampton should be a golf club that a golfer has said he or she has played.

Staff are so happy to help and the course is top rate. Hole 7 is a killer hole. Water 135°. Lots of balls have met there doom here.

What a beautiful day, from arrival, to finish. Course amazing and while staff friendly as they can be. The gentleman working the pro shop ,helped very much ! Ill be back for sure!

Golfing a tournament as we speak. Started on #8. The course ranger drives by on first hole and tells us we needed to speed up play. Came by on hole #12 says we are way behind with a foursome in the fairway in front of us. I understand there is a time line but when others are holding you up the ranger should not be hassling you

Great course

Course gets a 3. Staff, particularly manager gets a 1. Greens in good shape. Fairways are marginal. Traps are a disaster. For 8 holes had bobcats, excavator, trucks crews pouring concrete into the SAND traps. Had no unfettered access to any green. No quiet at all. Called manager had a so what attitude. Said well you only have one more hole before you get past it. $100 completely wasted. Holes 2-8 on front and 18 on back bunker being reconstructed. Had to play around and over equipment and 4-6 workers talking and yelling (over noise of equipment). No offer of refund. Go someplace else!

Nice quiet layout, fairly good conditions, some bunkers could use sand. However for 54 dollars two bags if range balls, cart, and green fee. Not bad for April in Florida! Enjoy

From the price, the golf shop staff and the course it was absolutely a great experience. Course is well maintained and the greens are a challenge.

The Golf Club at North Hampton is home to a well-rated and always popular golf course. This open parkland layout should not disappoint, with many attractive features and several excellent holes to enjoy. Plenty of golfing challenge, a well-crafted design and usually good upkeep all contribute to the appeal of this course. One to include on your play list if you are in the area.

Ive worked here as a starter and Ranger since March. Its a great course, probably one of the best courses in Fernandina if not the best course. Unfortunately with my new job, I dont have time to work the three days a week part-time that I was working there. I did offer to stay on as a standby /as needed basis and I will pray that they utilize me from time to time. The owner is great, Mr Scott Schneider is one of the best men I have ever met. I aspire to be more like him everyday. The head pro is a master teacher and well fix just about any problem with your golf swing however, hes a little hard to work for. Hes a nice guy, dont get me wrong but him and I had communication problems which Im sure is partly my fault, but as I stated before he is a master instructor and master of the game. He can fix any problem with your game, I have witnessed this time and time again. He is one of the best head Pros I have ever met. Personally I think hes good enough to be on tour.

Great course, excellent conditions, tremendous value. Layout is challenging but very fair, outer fairways are often sloped to keep your ball in play. Greens are undulated but again are fairly designed. Green speed was perfectly in the middle, they also were soft enough to hold but not spongy. Picturesque place to tee it up too, top notch all the way around.

The course is very interesting to play. Its a shotmaker course. Greens are huge but you must be in the correct sector. I really like it and will return tomorrow. Played the high dollar courses in the area and this one is better. All 18 holes are unique no repeats.

Played there today and was grand. The course was in excellent shape and started will a well equipped driving range and chipping area. The front nine played well and had wind with us most of the time..the back switches and the wind gets you competitive juices flowing, on a challenging round of golf. Played the Blue tees as about 6500 yards......All in all, a great experience in a well thought out community....

For the price paid, the course is not good. The cart paths are in horrendous condition. For the weekday rate of $ 61 the fairways are poor and the sandtraps are under construction.

I have been a social member for two years and this club has come a long way in this time. North Hampton is an Arnold Palmer designed, links style course that is challenging for all levels. Hitting it straight off of the tee is the most important part of the game. There are not any forced carries, but if you hit it sideways, youll tee up 3 a lot. We just had our Member-Member and the fairways are almost in peak condition and the greens are getting close. NH does not overseed so winter time the lies get thinner and the greens slicker, making for even a harder challenge. The staff is excellent, very attentive and friendly and there is GPS in the carts with color graphics of each hole. Make sure you call ahead to get a tee time as the courses reputation creates large demand and walking on is not an option.

Typically drive up from Jax once a week to play here. To keep it short & sweet this is what a golf course should be.1. As soon as you park they are at your trunk ready with a clean cart (gps, towels & tees incl.) eager to load your clubs.2. Clubhouse/Pro Shop is top of the line & EVERYONE is friendly & helpful.3. Range & practice areas are immaculate & always in good shape, they also are a good comparison to course conditions.4. The course itself is unique for the area & provides a challenge for anyone. Tee box to pin the place speaks for itself. Fantastic!5. After your round there is always someone to assist you if needed with wiping down your sticks and loading you up.Only complaint I have is that often times there is no SOAP in the ball washers & on occasion theres no water & the rags should be replaced.Basically, the drive is a bit far but it is my #1 place to play.
