The North Country Trail segment in Fergus is a great place to hike, run, and enjoy nature. On one segment you get to walk by the river. There are many ducks, birds, the occasional beaver, and trumpeter swans to view on the river. There is another segment that has wild daisies in the Spring. It is a nice place to spend part of your day, enjoy nature, and be outside.
