I really easy hike with not much vert. Nice paved path. You really get a sense of the scale of the damage from the wind storm. Fun time with smaller children.

What a fun trail. It’s paved and shaded along the way. Bring your kids. Let them ride their bikes. Friends of ours introduced us to this trail and I’m so glad they did.

Started out as a nice trail years ago, but now grown over with weeds, dead trees, musty-smelling overgrowth. I dont recommend.

This is a very small trail. It goes around the back of Lagoon and winds around to the Koa campground. Very shaded and cool during summer for a nice walk with kids. You walk right past the animals you can see from the train inside lagoon. That’s the only highlight besides all trees. If you need an easy walk with small kids it’s fabulous. Another fun thing is somebody has painted small wooden birdhouses and hung them along the trail. Definitely going back with our bird houses to hang.

Beautiful, shady trail that is easy to get to. The trail is paved and has highlights such as horses and elk. The nearby creek lend an ambient cooling. I went when Lagoon was closed, but I’d imagine there could be lots of noise on certain days.It was perfect when I was there. Easy walking and beautiful. Really felt like I was further away from town once inside.

Great place to hike or bike and feel like your out of the city, but not have to drive out of the city. It is paved the entire way and easy for the entire family. Lots of trees to make you feel secluded. You can even see the parks bison and elk. There are also a few cool bridges that cross over a river.

LOVE this trail. It’s paved so our little one likes to take her bike and ride it around. There’s Elk, Buffalo, and horses to see on the trail. It’s pretty shaded with blackberry bushes and other fruit that is a fun treat. We come here often!

Love the trees and all the shade on this walk plus so fun to have a pond - stream and lots of ducks to feed. But be careful of all the burrs that are just off the path . There are a couple of places to have a nice picnic and benches for relaxing.

If youre looking for a casual hiking or biking path in Farmington, this is probably the best one. Its surprisingly long if you follow it from the Lagoon campground all the way to Farmington pond. The entire path is paved, so its great for small kids and strollers as well as casual hikers and even wheelchairs. It is pretty popular, but there are plenty of twists and turns over the creek and through the trees so that for long stretches of it you might not see anyone at all. Lots of people take family pictures, or even engagement and bridal pictures on the trail on the various bridges, so be prepared to stop and wait for a moment while they pose for their shot. A small stretch of the trail runs behind Lagoons animal park, so youll get a good look at their bison, elk, and a few other animals. The northern end of the trail leads to Farmington Pond, through a tunnel under the road and a steady incline. The pond itself is more of a big mud puddle, but there are plenty of trees and ducks, and it does feel like its far away from town. Overall, this is a great, casual trail with plenty to see and lots of spots to rest or picnic.
