I am above and beyond thrilled with my hair! Ahmet painted subtle caramel highlights without using bleach since I have very thin hair which does not handle strong chemicals well. He personally blended his own natural dye for my hair color and teased out each strand to color. His expertise and thoughtfulness were much appreciated after a previous bad experience trying to do this type of balayage-like sun-kissed look. I will only be using him from now on! My new favorite spa. While I was there everyone was so kind, accommodating, and wonderful to be around. My stylist, Roger, made my hair EXACTLY how I dreamed of it turning out. This place is the best! I promise they will not let you down. I highly recommend.

After many many many years of searching for the right place/hairdresser, I finally found Roger! My natural hair color is very dark with stubborn roots but Roger knows how to work my hair and lighten it in such an amazing way that it blends perfectly. Even during the pandemic he has gone beyond what I expected to accommodate my fears for getting infected because I am high risk.

Im so happy I found Salon Simis, in the past, stylists would usually convince me to keep my highlights and to add dark roots which ended up not being my type. but in here i got what exactly i was asking for. the stuff are being so nice to me and they were so professional and careful as well with their work.

Called and got a same day appointment for a color correction. I had requested a belayage elsewhere and got a blotchy yellow mess so I needed to get it fixed. Upon arrival I was well received and sat down for my consult. Within minutes Philip and a coworker had a plan to fix my disaster. I showed pictures of what I wanted and then the process began. Almost 4h later and a lot a lot of hard work he fixed it! I am extremely pleased with the results and cant wait to go back again. Everyone was very nice and I was able to observe that there is excellent teamwork within the salon. Five stars no doubt!

My appointment at Salon Simis was for a womens haircut - I wanted three inches off, add long layers and fringe to shape my face and Murat was amazing! His attention to detail is impeccable! He also had another client for color overlapped with my appointment but the attention to detail he showed both of us was surprising! This is probably the only salon in Northern Virginia who does long layers that Im satisfied with.Also, at the end of my hair cut, he created soft waves with just a blow dryer and rolling brush - no curling iron necessary. I was amazed with his skills. My natural curls are going well with my new hair cut and I love running my hands through my hair without feeling any dead ends. This new hair cut just brings out everything about my hair, which I like to refer to my hair as the only living agreement between my parents (mom has curly hair and father has straight hair). I absolutely love Salon Simis. Everyone is so genuine and professional. They make you feel like family. They all help each other out when it gets hectic and theyre all so kind.I have very stubborn hair and Ahmet takes his time, 5+ hours each time, to get me the look I want. He explains every technique he does and truly cares about your hair and does his best to maintain the integrity of your hair. You can tell he makes it his mission to give the client what they want and he wont stop until he does. I searched many salons before I decided on Salon Simis & I’m so glad I picked this salon. I have long hair (mid-back) that I want to have the darkest black but other salons complain about how much time my hair appointment will take so they always just do my roots and ignore my requests with wanting an over- all color touch up but I have found my new go to place at Salon Simis.The staff was very attentive making sure I was comfortable and offering refreshments. My stylist, Roger, whom is a Master Stylist gave me exactly what I asked for… Beautiful DARK black hair! I needed a trim due to split ends but I’m always scared to much will be cut off, Roger assured me he will cut my dead ends while keeping my length, at the end I had beautiful layers that helped bring my hair back to life. I definitely will be back.

Ive been coming to Ahmet for 10 years now and every time he exceeds my expectations! Ive attached before and after photos just so you all can see the magic that he worked on my hair. He really loves what he does and is super passionate about making those he works with feel comfortable and confident with their decision to work with him & what he does to your hair. I was really freaking out when I went to him but he remained calm and gave me the confidence boost I needed. He spent almost 4 hours on my hair and every minute he worked with me was spent with care and attention to detail. I love love loved my cut and color with Roger! I went to him with a botched balayage and he knew exactly how to fix it in addition to giving me a bomb bob cut. Super professional and had lots of great tips for maintenance. The rest of the staff was also nice and friendly. I’ve been growing out my pixie cut for a few months and it started to look like a mullet. Roger updated my hair with blonde highlights like I wanted. Then he came up with a game plan moving forward- he explained how he was going to cut my hair today and then what he’s going to do once it grows out a few inches so I can avoid awkward hair phases of this grow out. Well... i was little skeptical before coming here, because finding good master for my hair so difficult thing. I have long black hair and several balayages were unlucky in the past so i colored my hair back into jet black. Ahmet did his best to give me the hair i wanted without damaging my hair. I didnt make appointment for haircut, it was just for hair dye, but He couldnt let me go without giving me complimentary cut. I can see how professional and excellent he is in what he is doing!!! Salon Simis is the best salon in the fairfax area. My mom, sister and I all come to this salon and love it. Roger (one of the master stylists here) does amazing hair and has never failed to make us happy! I highly recommend this salon. Also, everyone is so nice and professional.

My new go-to place for my hair--Ive been here twice. A few months ago I came for a haircut--Roger gave me a long bob cut and I loved it. I came back last week for a balayage and Roger, again, did great. I was able to multitask while I was there both times because they have good wifi--relaxing, productive, and I walked out with great hair both times. (A plus--they had no qualms about me bringing my infant son with me; they were so welcoming!). I also love that they also have lots of availability when I happen to be free (mid day, mid week), and are really responsive.

I saw Ahmet today and had the greatest experience I have ever had in a salon. He was so attentive along with his staff/team. He told me everything he was doing with my hair every step of the way and KILLED it with the balayge for my hair. I am very particular with my hair so I am very happy I found a stylist and team that is not only caring but provides beyond excellent service and for a fair price range as well. They definitely gained me as a regular. :)

I was not happy with color correction. I specifically asked for color stripping but my hair still had yellow toner put in when I didnt want that. Very rough while handling my hair during blow drying also.

Best service and salon i have ever been! the owner and all of the employees are very polite and welcoming. I never leave the salon disappointed, they take their time and always come by to check to see if you are doing well or if you need anything while you are waiting. They know exactly how to do my hair coloring and my hair always comes out perfect and not to mention i did the balayage treatment and it came out perfect and exactly the way i wanted! I always get compliments about my hair and people ask me where i get my hair done, i always recommend and mention to them and everyone else this salon!

I called on short notice and they accommodated me with a same day appointment. I was lucky they had a cancellation. When I arrived I met Roger, my new favorite stylist, who proceeded to give me my most favorite haircut ever. I plan to return in the future for coloring as their products are free of allergens. I wanted to try out this salon due to the good reviews; however, I was disappointed with how my hair turned out and some of the things that the employees had said. (1) One of the employees, possibly an owner, started talking about how she does not like customers from McLean - where I grew up. I am not sure why someone would generalize their dislike by geographical region. (2) I asked for full highlights, I received them on the top of my hair, but underneath was severely disregarded and looks very streaky. (3) I also got a trim, but was charged for a cut - which I was not happy about. Despite my left side of my hair being slightly shorter than my right, the hair dresser didnt even touch the left side and left all of the split ends. I even pointed it out to him that I need the split ends on my left cut. A few snips later, I still had an excessive amount of split ends on my left - none on my right side though...Pros: I liked the color, I just wish that it was even throughout my entire hair. I also liked my hair dresser despite the flukes listed above. My hair was done within 2.5 hours (record breaking), my shampooing and conditioning was amazing, and he styled my hair well.

All the stylists here cut my hair to perfection every time. I walk out of there looking like a movie star and they have taught me how to style my hair that way too so I can keep looking my best. If you walk away from Salon Simis and Spa and are unhappy about the way you look, its because you are either a whiny, spoiled brat or there is truly nothing can be done to make you look good.Side note, there is a gorgeous stylist/receptionist there that is clearly at the top of her game. But she is sooooo married. Too bad so sad....

Ahmed is great! He was able to fix my mothers damaged hair which was a result of getting her hair dyed elsewhere. The products this salon uses are amazing. I have gotten my hair cut at this salon and it is the best hair cut I have ever received. Trust the guys at this salon. They know what they are doing.

DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE CURLY HAIR!! I came to this salon a year ago when i first moved to the area. They were the first salon i tried out and i avoided getting my hair cut for almost 6 months afterwards because i had such a bad experience. They were extremely unprofessional, and do not know how to care for curly hair. The number one rule of curly hair care is to not brush it out and thats the first thing they did. At the end of the session they said you want it frizzy right? ....no. It looked worse than when i came in. I have very fine ringlets and i could feel my hair breaking with every brush stroke. They were extremely disrespectful and i felt almost as if they were just making fun of my hair and doing a horrible job on purpose. Not to mention they double booked me, so the stylist wasnt even with me for half the time and kept going back to their other client in the middle of my hair cut, leaving me sitting there for long periods of time. Absolutely horrible experience. Go somewhere else if you want a better experience.

Deniz was awesome. I went in after seeing reviews and having only disappointing haircuts since I moved to VA 2 years ago. My last great cut was in Montreal. I am so so glad I went! I am thrilled with my cut, the atmosphere was lovely as was all the art on the walls and I just could not be happier or recommend them more highly. Of course no one can please everyone, but they certainly made a believer of me!

Ahmet is the MAN! Ive had a lot of terrible haircuts in my life, but this is by far the best salon in Fairfax County, maybe even DC area! I came to Ahmet with long, long hair for a guy, and he gave me a crazy transformation. As an athlete, you got to look nice, and thats exactly what I get when I go to Ahmet at Salon Simis. I have been coming to Simis for hair cut about 3 years now and over the time I brought my family for their spa services. My mom has been getting her facials here and her hair color services! Ahmet is the most outgoing and friendly hair stylist I have ever been to. He really listens to what you want and will work to ensure you are happy with the outcome. I just really wanted to relax last Saturday night. So I looked up spas nearby and came across this. The experience was amazing. My masseuse was really good. The only thing probably was that I had to wait for about 15 minutes, though it was well worth it.

Deniz worked with me to bleach and dye my hair and I couldnt be happier with the results! Everyone in the salon was friendly and welcoming even though it was my first time there (I booked my appointment just based on reviews online). The bleaching and dying process was long because my hair is darker but I didnt feel burdened or made to feel like a burden from Deniz or any of the other employees. I hope to be back!

I went to salon Simis this week for the first time, I have long dark brown hair and Ive never colored it before I looked into the blonde highlights and decided to get it done after a lot of looking up different salons in fairfax and doing some homework, Simis seemed to have the best reviews. My stylist was Ahmet and he did an amazing job Im so happy with my hair he really made my hair look just like the pictures I had showed him and the platinum blonde highlights were fabulous. Im relatively new to Fairfax and only have been to a couple other salons. Simis was by far the best, definitely my go to salon from now.

I went to see Ahmet and he completely RUINED my hair. I went in asking for a full head of highlights to touch up my roots and a toner and showed him a picture of the kind of light blonde I wanted him to tone it to. I have been getting my hair done super blonde for YEARS! My hair is so strong and gets a little dry but it always stays nice and thick at the ends and hardly any breakage, from going to people who know how to do hair. They pulled the foils off and my hair started falling out in CLUMPS. He and his assistant were violently brushing my hair and I freaked out and grabbed the brush from them almost burst into tears because my hair was actually falling out. They were so hostile towards me and said “if you expect to go platinum then expect some damage”, I lost it and said I only asked for highlights and a toner! It turns out he pulled bleach ALL THE WAY THROUGH MY HAIR. He did this so he could charge me for an ombre AND full highlight. My hair has been so thin and dry I’ve had to cut 5 inches and it gets so frizzy now. This is especially awful because I am a bridesmaid in my sister’s wedding next month and my hair looks awful. They also tried to charge me over $400 for this. Don’t go here!!!!

Such a amazing hair salon. I’ve been going to so many hair salons here in Fairfax but very few salons can achieve platinum blonde hair. My hair is very dark brown and Ahmet was able to lift the brown out of my hair and make it Jean Harlow Blonde. Ahmet is amazing!! Not only is he very knowledgeable about many types of blonde tones, he is also honest and straight forward about what to expect when bleaching your hair. I finally found a stylist who knows exactly what they are doing. I highly recommend Ahmet !

This is my second hair cut with Ahmet and I am very pleased. I have fine hair which seems challenging for some stylists to cut, however, this has not been a problem here. Attention was paid to detail and I am very happy with my overall experience.

I went to this salon, for the first time, today and i can guarantee you theyre very professional. Both Ahmet and Dennis are great! they were very honest with me and even advised me to wait a little longer before coloring my hair! they really care about their customers and dont just want their money! someone else would convince to bleach out my hair and get the lighter color I want even if itd damage my hair! but they didnt!!! they were very honest with me and explained the whole situation and the expected results. at the end, they both recommended to grow out my hair and come back for color later.

Maria and John work wonders! Having never had a facial before, I was a little nervous to have anyone work on my face due to my sensitive skin. I expressed these concerns to their esthetician, Maria, and she couldnt have been any nicer. She did a thorough explanation of the products she uses and how they would help my skin. I could tell her really cares about her clients. Within a day my skin was glowing and clear! Would definitely recommend. Very personable and definitely knows what shes doing. I also received a massage from John who couldnt have done a better job. He was very receptive to my requests and made me feel very comfortable. No aches or pains afterwards! I left feeling pampered and relaxed.I would definitely recommend Salon Simis & Spa if youre looking for a quality experience! Staff is extremely personable and beverages are offered upon arrival :) Im already looking forward to my next visit.

Honestly you will not find a better salon and staff anywhere in NOVA. I have been going here over 2 years and I love them more every time . I am new to the area and have been shopping around for a new salon where I feel valued and comfortable. Salon Simis & Spa is with out a doubt the best overall experience Ive ever had. The staff is extremely friendly and the services exceeded my expectations. I got my color and haircut done by Demi. She listened to exactly what I wanted and made suggestions that proved to be great ideas. I am so happy with my hair and highly recommend her to everyone. I also tried out the new esthetician, Maria. I got the signature facial and havent felt so relaxed in quite some time. Ive been to a number of spas in the area and she is the best for sure. My skin is very sensitive and I am happy to say that I did not break out from any of her products. In fact my skin looks fresh and even. The experience overall was fantastic and I can not wait until my next appointment!

Best salon in Northern VA/ DC area. Ive known Ahmet for over 7 years and have always left with a great cut. I drive form McLean to Fairfax since he moved there and it is totally worth the trip.

Deniz took the time to listen to what color and cut I wanted and offered suggestions as to what might look best for my skin tone and face shape. He balayaged my hair and it looks beautiful. Deniz and the entire staff was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and efficient. The salon itself was clean and comfortable. The prices were comparable to most other salons in the area. It was definitely a 5 star experience.
