Place is exceptionally cute with a wide variety of things to paint. Its a fun family activity with helpful staff and a wide variety of supplies. The place is surprisngly expensive with studio fees in addition to the cost of the ceramics themselves...but we still have fun as a family when we go.

Nice place, kids loved it. Sure they will! They are painting ! But nothing worth the money you pay. 2 kids (1 hour of painting) for 50 dollars! We could have bought all painting stuff and did that at home for 10 dollars! They should consider their pricing list again.

This is definitely one of my favorite places in Fairfax, VA. The people who work there have always been so sweet and helpful. The owner even rembered is from one prior visit. The studio fee is very well priced and the pieces are the same if not less than what you would pay at a retail store for something that’s mass produced.

Great little craft place in DC to take your kids. My 9 year old daughter loves it. Pretty free painting experience for kids - not a lot of instruction or rules. Lots of pottery and paint color choices.

The owner was very nice and helpful, but the other employee was less so— he was not knowledgeable or very good with customer service. I also feel that the studio fees here are EXORBITANT compared to the other places I have been. You pay $12.50 just to have space at a table. $5 would be fine, but this was much too high, especially considering the price of the pieces themselves seemed far too high ($19 for a spoon rest, $20 for a dinner plate, $17 for a mug, etc.). Additionally, there was not a great selection of pieces to actually paint. While I generally love to support small businesses, I do not anticipate coming back here in the future. At any rate, I do wish them the best of luck. I love to paint pottery, but I do not love spending a total of $33 on a spoon rest. I knew what I was getting in to, and it was a nice experience to give to my sister, but just too unreasonable to do again.

First time with my son. He loved the experience and the place. I think it is a very nice workshop. Wish therere more colors to use. You selected your piece, paid a sitting fee (per hour), and painted away! The shop would take care of the clean up afterward. I think price wise its maybe a bit above average for some, but the finalized piece you get is good. Will definitely come back again in the future.

The best experience of anything art related Ive ever had!!!!!!The place was so cute and welcoming. I especially enjoyed the Disney music that played quietly in the store. The employee was very nice and helpful, and I liked having an unlimited supply of paint. I can their with my 3 cousins- 2 girls (18 and 20) and a boy (7) the seven year old painted a pirate cup and had a blast, we all loved it!! And Im not even good at art!!

Came here by myself and enjoyed a me date--thoroughly enjoyed it. My plate came out fantastic and the staff was incredibly helpful to me and my terrible painting skills! The advice was much needed. The thing I loved was being able to sit and paint quietly for a while and enjoy the peace of it. It was a great experience, will definitely come again!

We had an amazing experience! After we thought our night had been ruined when we had a pottery class and they made us reschedule, we came here and had a blast! The owner was very helpful and guided us through our painting canvas. It was very relaxing and we even stayed about 30 minutes after they closed and she did not mind. We did not feel rushed or like they were throwing us out. She was very helpful! We will be going back to make some more paintings.

We had a terrific experience at PYPOP. We went to movie night and Leila was an outstanding host. She attended to our needs without hovering and was helpful and engaging. The atmosphere is warm, cozy and comfortable and the staff is stellar.

Fun place for the kids to paint pottery, but the quality is very poor (or at least ours was). Our kids painted a mug and a bowl. The mug lasted 6 months before chipping multiple times and then cracking. The bowl lasted less than a year before being chipped around the rim in so many places it had to be disposed of. We followed the care instructions and they were never dropped or abused.

I have painted here anumber of times over perhaps four or more years, it alays surprises me of the new things I exp rience and learn. I believe it has opened my mind and eyes to new options to my canvas painting experience. It also is relaxing as well as emotionally rewarding, Mark Isaacs
