Fantastic find! We were in ES for an overnight at The Elms. Stephen and Jeanine welcomed us like we were old friends!

My wife and I visited this winery for our anniversary. We were very impressed. Great atmosphere, friendly and accommodating wait staff, and and enjoyable wines. Impressed by the owners of the winery going from table to table to introduce themselves and make sure guests were having an enjoyable experience. Also nice to see them get their hands dirty and help their staff as well. We will be back.

Very nice. Beautiful setting, peaceful and quiet (we were there mid-afternoon on a Sunday. Wine was good (the cab was quite good). Staff outstanding. Lots of outdoor seating and a nice, large interior. First time there and will be back!

We went on a wine trolley tour yesterday to this winery. We are coming back today for a prepared picnic box (sausage, cheese, etc) for lunch!! They explained all about the different grapes and wines. Besides the taste testing and the jokes, we had a great time getting to know the people that were there...

Beautiful winery with delicious wine. Has some food and beer choices. Today had a great band and service. Try the Sangeria you will not be disappointed.

This is the third or more time here and each time I love it more! Great atmosphere for conversations... awesome service! Michael was extra attentive to our choices.. Abby was excellent and we enjoyed visiting with her so much plus singing a duo of “ Amazing Grace” with her! These guys are real and go that extra mile to make your visit special... Can’t say enough great stuff about ‘em.. If you don’t give them a try, you’re missing it... ️️

This is a really excellent and fun-loving place! A lot of locals coming here that are really friendly and fun to hang out with. What a delightful place to relax for a few hours. The wine is great. The setting is beautiful. The owners are so friendly. The entertainment makes for lovely ambience. This spot hits it out of the park. You have to try it!

On our girls trip to Excelsior springs we visited the vineyard. We had such an amazing experience. The owners were so involved and knowledgeable. Great environment and excellent service. I would highly recommend 4 horses and a dog winery!!

The people were very friendly and it was a cozy environment and the wine was fabulous.

Owners Stephen and michael and their significant others were awesome!!! We were made to feel like home for every aspect of our visit, our flight of wines from their vineyard was wonderful and got some history as well. True down to earth people with old fashioned hospitality! Do yourself a favor and try all of the wines and take a bottle or two of the best home! Best experience in excelsior springs!

Excellent service and wine

Used a Groupon from Christmas for a wine tasting and picnic basket. It was really good. We liked Sweet Lucy Lou white wine the best as we are sweet wine people.

My sisters, mom, niece and I came here Friday night. We had a wonderful time wine tasting and a nice snack tray. The owners are beyond welcoming. We highly recommend this winery and have nothing but good things to say about it.

Four horses and a dog was the best experience! The owners were so personable and made you feel right at home. They served you at a table for the wine tasting, and even sat and chatted with us like we were old friends. I can’t rave enough about the hospitality..oh yeah and the wine was fantastic too!! For the tasting you get a decent serving of 6 different wines and the price was so reasonable. Our favorite was the Chambourcin. If you are ever in the area make sure you go and visit this awesome place! We will absolutely be coming back!!! Thank you Mike, Cheryl, Steve and Jeanine for a fantastic time!!!

Wide selection and you should find something you like. Some snacks and they are also ok with you bringing your own, but no drink outside alcohol drink their wine (they have different beers too) :) They have events with free live music and you can get updates via FB. There is a bit of both covered and uncovered outdoor seating and there are indoor tables. Decore is slightly fancy, nice, and clean but not overdone nor stuffy and is very comfortable. They have table service and you arent rushed through tastings. They are exceptionally friendly and welcoming and they pretty much earn the 5 stars on that alone. Thanks!

OMG, the most wonderful experience weve ever had at a winery!! Personalized and welcoming, we felt like family from the minute we stepped onto the property! Great wine, great owners and a nice place. And did I mention the wine? This is he first winery that I’ve been to in which every wine they make is great...and I’ve been to wineries all across the country. This is a great little winery well worth the visit.
