Before COVID-19 pandemic this place was so fun! Now of course, it is unsafe to go into public, but before that, we loved it here!We went at least once a month and always had a good time. When COVID-19 is under control and a viable vaccine is available, you better believe we will be here to celebrate! No better place to relive our youth!

Can not say enough about this little hole in the wall tucked in Evansville’s west side.Come enjoy a multitude of games from back in day, and new Lin ball machines that will rock your world! Great Beer selection and friendly service and patrons alike. Always clean!! Unisex bathrooms here as well. We’ll see ya next time we are in Evansville as this is a TOP SPOT for our visits! Best place to go for a fun evening in Evansville! Ive had a great time here with both my gamer and non-gamer friends. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff are always courteous!

I was around when this place opened and even after moving a few times to different states, I always find my way back here. My fiancé and I dont do a lot of date nights but we have infinite fun here together every time :)

First time going was alright. I didn’t mind wearing a mask but i did not like the bartender eyeballing me everywhere I walked. It’s like he was waiting for me to take it off very uncomfortable. Also the 2nd time I went the female bartender was rude about the ID. I told her It’s my 2nd time going kinda of a horrible attitude to be dealing with people. I said this coke is very carbonated she said well it’s from a fountain. So after I finished my coke I will not be going back.

The bar tender was really nice and the bathroom was clean.

Only problem with this place is i could spend my entire day here drinking, playing and talking. Loved my time there and our bartender was super cool. It was awesome to see a true arcade again. Drinks were really good and reasonably priced, especially since the games are free.

First time there, so limited experience review.That being said, it was wonderful nostalgic, had a weirdly diverse selection of beers (in a good way, freaking Bourbon County man, I was thrilled), the pinball is plentiful, and the other classic arcade options were awesome. I was particularly impressed with the clean bathrooms and have sanitizer stations, I feel like the owners really thought it out, giving people a lot of video game fun and the means to have clean hands. Its winter during this review so thats just taking care of your customers.Im just upset I hadnt gone sooner. Cant wait to go back. I want to support this business more.

Classic arcade with a 21st century twist. 21 to enter and you are transported back to your youth. Free arcade games throughout and pay per play pinball. A good selection of craft beers is always in rotation and if you happen to get hungry they have a classic gaming food selection: popcorn, soft pretzel, totinos pizza rolls. Games & pins are always in rotation so if you go often you will be pleasantly surprised to see new titles coming in. I joined the pinball league and have been having a blast every week! Came here for the first time with my buddy for his birthday. We played a few rounds of Mario Kart 64 and Super Smash Bros at the bar. We played all of their pinball machines and beat the TMNT arcade game. I had a blast, and he said it was the best birthday hes ever had! The bartender said they were trying to start an all ages place, which would be awesome because I kept thinking how much my son would love coming to a place like this.

Truly a place to enjoy for adults. We got introduced to it back in the summer from a friend of ours.One of the few places in town that you encounter friendliest staff from guy checking ID at door (how often you see bouncers engaged, smiling and greeting people), to bar staff and even people that go there.So much fun to enjoy those games and Pinball machines while sipping on your favorite drinks. We also picked this place for our New years Eve to be at, while everyone in town was charging crazy cover charges for subpar service and entertainment, High Score didnt charge.They have truly gained our business, and have told other about it.You want something new in Evansville now you have it people!

I grew up in an arcade. Arcades are my life. And I love High Score Saloon. These guys have assembled the greatest titles - the sweetest coin operated experiences - of the 80s and 90s, and created a place that absolutely embodies my childhood. Its both accessible to the novice and admirable to the connoisseur.May pinball live forever!

This... is... AWESOME!!! Such a cool idea to bring to Evansville, and I love even more that it’s downtown. We will be back... many, many times.

This place was absolutely awesome

Came to hang out for a few hours after dinner on a Monday night. There were not too many people there, so my wife and I were able to use any machine we wanted which was nice. The beer selection is amazing. The game selection, as always, is amazing. Being able to hang out, drink a few delicious beers, and play free arcade games is one of the best things in Evansville.

Awesome bartenders, amazing selection of games, great atmosphere for just hanging out or getting rowdy and breaking a couple of glasses.

Man this place is amazing. The atmosphere brings you to a place of nostalgia like never before. The place is very clean and polished! The staff is extremely friendly, especially Laura, who not only brings quick satisfaction but adds to the atmosphere. The drinks were made top notch to perfection, looked as one of the best drinks on main street easily. Really check this place out, you will not be disappointed.

Simply fantastic! If you are between 30-40 years old and played games, its like walking into you childhood, but with beer. Absolutely one of the greatest places in the area to spend an evening or afternoon with friends.

Really awesome. Games all worked great. Atmosphere was steller. Place was clean and fun. They do need to expand drink selection a little. I would also suggest just a few more food options. Now those small things said. We had a great time and there were plenty of games to play! I will go again!!

If you have not been here yet you MUST go! Beer and arcade games, Adults only. All the video games are free and you only have to pay for the pinball. Best game though is call Ice Cold Beer might have spend a couple hours alone on this one.

Fun place to go brought me back to the Eighties and nineties video games.

Smaller than I thought it would be and overpriced watered down drinks. However, the concept is pretty cool, and the atmosphere was really laid back. I would be willing to give it another fair shot. But seriously, they need to start serving better beer, stop watering down the alcohol to the point it taste like a straight coke, and stop charging $6 for a straight coke.

Not a huge drink selection; but the games were really fun! You can also get refillable popcorn. I mean, Who doesn’t want sip a cider and play frogger?

Such a fun experience and the bartender was extremely friendly and the nostalgia is mind blowing. Definitely must go, but not all at once. Keep it chilled like it was tonight.

I have been to a few arcade bars, but this is the best one I have been to. Bartender was friendly, the games are free, and it being Sunday it was not busy at all and we were able to play whatever game we wanted. No loud music so I was able to have a conversation while playing Bust a Move with no problem. We will come to this bar everytime we visit Evansville for sure.

Lovely place with lots of games to play plus friendly staff!

Neat place, but its very small, which I think plays into my biggest complaint - there are many great games, but some of the more obvious games from 80s/90s arcades are missing. Twilight Zone or Addams Family pinball, Mortal Kombat, Dragons Lair, Q*bert, and Virtua Fighter come to mind. Full credit for having lots of really great games, though - I didnt have trouble finding something fun to play.Aside from the game selection it was extremely hot inside (we left earlier than planned because of the temperature), and the beer is expensive, which is fair, since entry and the video games are all free (bring quarters for the pinball machines).Overall, we had a good time, and it was cool to see a true arcade again, but I think theres room to improve on the concept.

A very cool blast from the past. These guys share their toys happily. The collection covers decades of coin operated machines...great diversity, great condition, plus a nice selection of beers and machine-rolled hotdogs. Pinball machines tilt and click like they should. Love it!

Great beers. They have cheap beer options too. 3.50 for cheap. 5 and up for good beers (12 oz) games are all free except for pin ball. Its a tight space; but people are polite about it. I had a pretty good time both times Ive been.

This is one of my favorite places in Evansville. If you love old video games and beer then you must go. They also have a wide selection of pinball games. The pinball machines do cost, but all of the other games are free. You wont find dinner here, but they do have snacks like popcorn.

Great place, great owners, friendly staff and AWESOME GAMES!! I visited with my box of quarters tonight and I have to brag about their pinball machines. I played almost all of them and they have a great mix of older and new games. Getaway was my favorite but Lethal Weapon 2 was runner up! Nice to find a place that is chill to be at, good beer and great games. I plan to go back and do the video games, but tonight it was all pinball. I met Jared one of the owners, he is a great guy, loves the games as much as the players do and its really good to see a business that is run by the owners. A+ place too, very cool and clean!

Nice spot, just a bit small. The drink selection was adequate. The drafts were tasty, particularly the arcade ale, but the liqour selection was minimal. They have a nice outside area that has a lot of potential. Also if you use cash they cant track you. I would like to add that reaching out does speak highly of your care for your business to which I tip my hat to you.

What an awesome place. Its a mix of pinball games, 80s and 90s arcade games and even some fun vintage mechanical games. A nice bar area with fun bartenders. If you want to do something different and fun, this is the place.

A few buddies of mine stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. The atmosphere was amazing. I couldn’t believe how many different pinball machines and arcade games they were able to fit in the space they had. The service was great and the people were even better. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Looking forward to stopping by again in the future.

I had my buddys bachelor party here and we all had hella fun! the bartender (laura i think) was really cool! they had a bunch old arcade games and some emulator games as well for PS and GC. they so also swap games out on a regular basis to keep it fresh. good times were had by all and were ended up staying till closing when we originally didnt plan to. thank you for the good time High Score Saloon!!!!

High score salon is a fun arcade bar in the heart of evansville underground on main street. The first room you walk into is the bat and arcade games that are FREE the second room has pin ball Maines that are $.50 to $1.00. They have a change machine and restrooms.

This is a gem in a growing downtown. There is nothing like this place anywhere near here. While I will admit it may be difficult for some to adopt this new culture of gaming for some, those who have, totally love it. I cannot say enough about the staff who is genuinely engaged with you, takes and implements constructive feedback, and makes you feel welcome. Best of all they do all of these things exceptionally well. I am so pleased to be a patron at such a unique place. Keep it up guys! Love this place.

High Score Saloon is a well maintained, fun, laid back, and friendly atmosphere for those that enjoy nostalgic games and craft beer. They also carry domestics for those who like to keep it on the lighter side. Their pinball selection is awesome and there are always new game announcements. The owners have a passion for arcade games and all things retro. They go out of their way to have conversations with their customers and make sure everyone is having a great time. If anyone ever has a concern or question, they address it promptly. This is a great addition for Evansville and I highly recommend checking it out!

This place has a great atmosphere. Everyone is welcome....as indicated by the signs on the bathroom doors. The staff is super friendly and nice. They are very informative about the games and will share as much knowledge as you want. One stuff member actually opened up a pinball machine for us so we could see the inside. Very cool. They have a great signature beer on tap also that is brewed just for them by Carsons.

It was my goal as a kid to beat The Simpsons arcade game from start to finish. I was finally able to accomplish this... now I can die in peace.

One of the best things to happen to Evansville. The owners,management and workers are absolutely fantastic. They wanted a place to keep it real. The atmosphere created is way beyond the average arcade. The only thing that costs is food, beer, and pinball. All reasonably priced too!

Great place to play classic arcade games and an amazing selection of pinball machines. This locally-owned gem is something that this town has needed for a while. The food is quick, affordable and nothing fancy but a perfect reminder of what our childhood was: simple. I love the fact that it is a bar and you must be 21 and up to go in. I want to enjoy my video games, a nice cold one and some quick food without worrying about fixing up my hair or having to pay a cover.

I may work there part-time, but I hang out there other times of the week because I enjoy the place so much.Clint and Jared have managed to create a great laid-back place to hang out, grab a beer, and play well-maintained pinball machines and arcade games.Im not a beer afficianado, but they run small kegs, so most of the 8 beers on tap are frequently changing. Theres usually something interesting to try.My only minor gripe is that with the downtown location street parking can be a little harder on the weekends.
