A amazing experience in the heart of Evansville. Walking into the home is like stepping into another time. Everything is wonderfully preserved. I particularly enjoyed the stained glass, the study, and the intricately laid wood flooring throughout.

Super interesting and unique place. We took the tour, with my 10 yr old nephew. He enjoyed seeing all the cool things. Mrs. Kathy our tour guide was knowledgable, engaging, and really child friendly. She made the tour even better. Only thing, I wish was they had a magnet in the souvenir. We will definitely, be back at Christmas to see the home then.

Pictures wont do justice until you see the pristinely preserved interior in-person. I was surprised to see how beautiful it was when visiting during the annual free self tour hours. I couldnt get much of the background stories, but the 3 story house (2 stories were accessible at that time) were visually stunning. We stayed for 1.5 hours. The tour should be more enjoyable paid, to promote the preservation fund and hear the explanations.

We loved the tour and our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the house and family. The ancient video at the start of tour needs to be updated. There were many amazing antiques throughout the home.

We had to hunt down the docents & ask a directly to gather any info beyond just looking at surroundings. Plus it was very dark, hard to see artifacts.

The curators were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I visit many historical homes and this was one of the best tours to attend as well as one of the most original homes I have visited.I hope the owners keep the home maintained in its original form despite the potential desire for upgrades.

Beyond horrible customer service. Had a field trip planned since January with Duane Myers. Received an email from him in Mid January to say the date wasnt available (after he had already confirmed it was). We rescheduled via email on February 5 to a new date of April 14 . I mailed (and communicated that the check was mailed) on April 5th. Fast forward to April 11th. I receive a phone call from Duane stating he hadnt received our check. He stated that he could give it one more day, and if it wasnt received by tomorrow (April 12), he needed me to bring one to them by the end of the day, to which I agreed. At 3:00pm today, April 12, ONE day before our field trip, I receive a phone call from Duane stating that because the check wasnt received until today, the trip has been cancelled. I requested a call from his manager. Matthew, who stated he is the Executive Director (and that he has no one to report to, nor can i file a complaint with anyone) called me to say that it would be cancelled. He was unwilling to even try to accommodate us. Never, EVER will I recommend this place to anyone.

My fiancee had an appointment to view the facilities for a possible wedding venue. The appointment was at 3pm and we arrived at 245 to find another event going on. We rang the door bell and received no response. We then called the number my fiancee was give........3 different times with no response. We hung around for about 15 minutes till someone came by and unlocked and went into the house. He never acknowledged or asked us if we needed help. This was at 315, we then left. We still have not received call back
