What a find! This gallery stands up to many that I have visited throughout the states. Its a free admission gallery, yet it feels high end. I highly recommend it.

Went to the program that was titled something about the gold in the Sahara in the middle ages. Not much gold in the show. Still was fascinated by the art I never imagined could have come out of the Sahara region. This figure moved me so I artsyfied my version of it in an effort to capture how it felt to me. I just know he/she was trying to speak with me. Lovely setting of the museum in general. A gem.

Small campus art museum, and free. Just has a few rotating exhibits, but usually at least one of them is good. The current exhibit on modern work from Iran/India was excellent.

Came in while visiting family for Thanksgiving. Had a fantastic afternoon in the doing. The exhibit at the time was well constructed and impactful. The space, however, was beautiful leading me to believe any exhibit would be worth visiting. I look forward to visiting again next time were visiting and want to spend an afternoon togeteher

Hidden gem. Lovely, well curated collection of surprising quality and inclusion. Friendly, helpful staff; easy, reasonable parking ($9 before 4pm), and just the right size to walk off lunch with a bit of culture. Bonus: its free. Highly recommend the current pop america exhibit and well be back for whatever they present next.

Wonderful place. Everyone seems so nice and friendly. They all welcomed me with a friendly face and a smile. The kitchen area was huge with plenty of room for eating and even to study. The view from the kitchen area was more than breath taking. Full glass windows with a view of water far beyond the eyes could see. Everywhere i have been so far was clean and nicely decorated. I was always offered assissants and helped right away when I needed it. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

I enjoy riding my bike down here every other month and see what they have on display. It is a great free thing to do in Evanston.

The security guard was nice enough to explain more about the paintings and sculptures. They were mostly art from the 70s

Beautiful views. The lakefront lit up at night, the stunning buildings on the Northwestern campus, free parking and an excellent FREE exhibit, Pop America, at the Block Museum too!

It was a daunting task to be there by bus on a severe weather, but we made it. The staff was very helpful, area was cleaned and kids friendly. There were very few ppl due to weather, I inquired with security personnel and she said the exhibition is always crowded. It was a very good experience. Exhibit was all about gold, caravan and Muslim civilization later it was about some art work from France and China. Overall a good learning opportunity. Exhibit is here till 28th July and then it will move to Toronto, Canada.

Very cool, worth dropping in if you are in the area

Excellent small art gallery on the Northwestern University campus. It has beautiful surroundings right near the Lake. Parking on campus is free on the weekends.

Great little museum. Was at the school for a water polo tournament and this was a fun place to get some free culture in between games.

Caravans of Gold exhibit is well done

Easy to manage because it is small. Nowhere to sit in the exhibit rooms.

I came here and watched some crazy psychedelic stuff i thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Art Middle Ages was incredible presentation

Beautiful, amazing and very thoughtful . Many revelations around this part of history.

Love the Block! Their shows! The films and lectures accompanying the shows! Their community outreach and their passion for the Arts! I Love it All!

This museum is quite a bit smaller than I thought it would be. It looks like its set up for at most one or two displays at a time. That said, it is free. No need to set aside more than about an hour to see the displays

This museum is on the campus of Northwestern University and has are highly diverse set of shows that rotate on a regular basis.

Great experience, friendly staff, great movie about refugees called Human Flow.

A must-visit, not only for the exhibits but the views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline.

If youre in the area, its worthwhile to keep an eye on what is currently at the Block. Great way to spend an evening without spending money.

Really nice small museum. The people are really kind and nice - they encourage to make a visit to museum again. They had Tseng Kwong Chi exhibition going on and an Iranian film festival inside the building.
