Hands down the BEST bar in town. Owners are amazing people, the bartenders got some good moves on drinks. Great gaming selection and music choices. Overall a must if you have never been or just want a great date night/friends night.

Drink selection is great, my lady loves the Fairy, and the cider and beer selection is decent and affordable. All the games you could want, from old consoles, to PC, arcade and even board and card games.

My friends and I gather here weekly for Disney/showtimes kareoke on Tuesdays. They have great drink specials and awesome bar tenders. Great place to play console games with friends and hang out.

This is my favorite bar in Eugene. Very easy going, laid back, and I always have a good time! The bartenders are friendly and there is always something fun going on. Come down and get a pokemon themed drink or leave it to date and roll the D20. Its the perfect bar for nerds and people that just want to hang out.

My only problem is the couches. Each time I go here I end up with knots.Other than that...This game bar is has a super cool set up, dim lights, crazy video game music, and a wide selection of games.Love that the arcade machines are unlimited free to play as well. (Doesnt require quarters).

GamePub is my favorite place to go for drinks with friends. The staff is always super friendly and willing to put a personal twist on your favorite drink. The bar food is great and the choice of entertainment via video games is endless. A great place to have fun.

I popped in for a quick appearance at a birthday party, had a glass of cider and played some Mario Cart. The place seemed cool, clean, with friendly staff. That said, it was a Tuesday night and pretty quiet.

I can’t really put into words how much I love this place and the staff and owner. If you are a gamer of whatever variety, this will quickly become your favorite spot. Other bar-cades in town don’t have the free-play or the personable staff to match the Game Pub experience. The food is also great, the prices and specials are great, they have whatever you want to play, the regulars and staff and owner are all nerds about pc games, table tops, magic, and of course video games. Ask about the D20 game for drinks/drop shots and the DC rolls for discounts on Mondays. There’s even trivia night and board games that’s fun for groups. It’s just overall a gamers paradise and they have carved out a great niche and addition to Eugene that I frequent and will continue to patronize and enjoy forever. I can’t stress enough how much you’re missing out on if you haven’t been yet, check it out, have a shot with me, let’s play games and nerd out and have a good time. 10/10 constantly rant and recommend forever.

After having my food be given to me thirty minutes late, the bouncer was snotty when I asked for my drink to be watched while I step outside. Never have I ever been treated so smug for being cautious. The third time out I forgot to ask this of him and he took my drink in hand and said not to come back. Mind you I was just greeting friends at the door.

All the game consoles out there and old arcade games. Whats not to like? Nerd paradise. 5 dollar entrance fee, or just buy food or drinks every now and then. You get hungry killing each other, so may as well grab some snacks. Employees are very friendly.

I love this place! The Pokemon themed cocktail menu has given me a great chance to break out of my rum and coke and Jameson and ginger comfort zone, and has been delicious to boot. Love going in there for some semi-casual Smash.

It is a fun place for adults to go play video games, meet people, have fun singing karaoke and drink slightly over priced alcohol. The staff is very nice and very competent as well. How ever it is fairly noisy there so conversation can be difficult.

Buy drinks/food, play all your favorite games from NES to PS4. Two Desktop PCs available. Arcade machines are also free. I would go to Game Pub over Level Up any day. Themed drinks and decorations. Laid-back atmosphere. Perfect place for introverts who want to go out. Would love to see eye-popping decorations/lights on the outside to attract more visitors. This is a genuine and fun place, and I want it to stay around for years to come. Management should start advertising and marketing their events.

You only have to buy one drink and you can play away. The food smelled good. I went on a date here. It was dope. I hope it works out with the girl. She suggested this place, how chill is that? We played Dragon Ball fighter Z, and Street Fighter IV. They had couches for all the game stations. There were flatscreens with gameplay videos playing too. This place is a millennial nerds wet dream.10/10 would buy a beer and play fighting games with a girl for 3 hours again.Update months later: that was our only date, the girl ghosted me. Im not bitter about it but figured Id let yall know it did not in fact work out.

Pretty cool set up at this place. If you can get a couch you are set. They have almost every console hooked up to the TV at your couch and a massive catalog of games to play. Really fun for a small group of people. They have a few arcade machines near the bar, and I actually got some decent bar food while I was playing. Id go again.

Whether youre hardcore or casual, modern day or stuck with the classics, Game Pub will have a game and console available to satisfy what youre looking for. Its easy to find yourself hesitant about where to even start with their selection, but the staff is friendly enough to provide recommendations for getting started. Theyve also got some fun options for ordering drinks, whether youre deciding to play it safe with ordering a beer, or decide to roll the D20 and have a drink based on your roll. Its a good spot for gamers and fans, run by gamers and fans. My only little nuance is that some of the cocktails can be hit or miss, but the experience provided there is more than worth it.

This a great place to just go and have a couple drinks with a friend or two. Especially great for younger people. No dancing, nobody trying to grab your attention at all times (unlike other places geared towards the younger crowd), and not just a place filled with a bunch of older guys with nothing better to do. Not to say that older people wouldnt enjoy it if they are interested in a relatively relaxed environment, and maybe want to play a few older games.The drinks are fantastic, and not super expensive. I dont much care for anything bitter, so I like that they have an awesome selection of fruitier drinks. Highly recommend the GRASS type and FIGHTING type drinks under the Pokemon selection.The only complaints I really have about it is that the game selection is kinda subpar, and the place could use a slight bit more light (seriously, this place is dark). Granted, these are simply down to personal opinion, and not at all a reflection of the service.Overall, Id say that this place is worth checking out if youre looking for something laid back. Even if youre not much of a nerd or geek.

This is hands down my favorite place to go have fun, they got delicious food and drinks, the staff is always super nice, and the games are great, i love to spend my time here drinking and playing League of Legends on the computers.

I will continue to go here since this is a very fun bar. But I felt me and my family were treated poorly because we had outside food. And there was no sign saying other wise. The security guard was very belligerent when he had asked us to leave and I felt he handled his job very poorly by yelling at us. When it was only our second time there, we didnt know any better at the time...

Had a great experience here. Came in to check it out and ended up staying a few hours to play Super Smash Bros with my buddies. Theres a bar in the back where you can order drinks and then FREE games all around. Would easily come back just to hang out and play more games. Drink are reasonably priced and the staff is friendly.

They have an ever-changing specialty drink menu that always has something for all tastes. That, along with the all the awesome games you can play, makes this my first choice for bars downtown, every time. Not as crowded as other bars, but still lively and fun.

This place was a lot of fun. All the themed drinks we tried were good, and its more entertaining sitting around at a bar when there is also Mario Kart. A few of the older arcade machines had poorly responsive controls.

The prices on the drinks were great, tasty and a full glass size! The games available were AMAZING, we spent hour a enjoying ourselves here. Also the music was fantastic too.

Dont know when it happened but this place is either under new management or has been renovated and cleaned up. Its a gamers paradise where game consoles, tvs, and couches line the walls and you get to choose what to play. Some tables in the center for general lounging. They serve alcohol and bar food, the DJ was really friendly while I was there, and some strangers were more than happy to play some smash bros together.Very rad place, will be going there more often

For being an old school gamer, this place is a dream. With Smash Bros projected on the wall and around twelve or thirteen consoles plugged into the televisions that surround the room there is a great vibe when you enter. There are a few arcade games in the back but mostly you will find yourself meeting new people and brawling out on multiplayer games.

All the best video games to enjoy with friends are located right here! Look no further for a great time!

Game Pub is one of my go-to spots. As far as Im concerned, its one of the few queer friendly spots downtown. Im not sure if theyve declared it as such, but my frienda and I have always been welcomed, treated well, and felt at ease. They have good bar food, interesting drinks, and, of course, a great game selection.

Ive been to Shoryuken League several times in the last couple years. Trivia nights on Thursdays are a lot of fun, and now that theyve gotten rid of the cover its even better. Just order some drinks and food to keep this place going.

Was not our scene at all. The guy at the door was lost in space and the bartender had few words and horrible manners to match. Maybe youll have a better experience.

Very nice nerd bar. Games are free, drinks are great, location is perfect. Like the business model and the atmosphere.

Place is great. Theres a five dollar cover charge (EDIT NO COVER CHARGE JUST ONE DRINK MINIMUM) but they offer monthly memberships. Because of said cover charge food is cheap for what you get and drinks are all reasonably priced.They dont have every game but but hot damn they have a lot of them.Only two downsides are that it can get a bit noisy and you cant play Call of Duty naked.
