The cost is 5 dollars per person to enter the waterfall trail. The caretaker was very nice and shared some of the history of the resort with us. It was a very steep trail along a cliff in some places. We accidentally followed the trail to the right at first and it led along a cliff and then down to the river where we could not keep going. The river is very deep and fast with lots of rapids. We turned around and then went on the trail to the left. That led down to the cave behind the waterfall. There is also a place to stop and look down at the falls from the top. I would not try this trail when it is rainy because it would be very slippery. We kept on going for a while after we saw the cave and it led down to the river again. This river is fast and deep so I would not bring children here. The trail did not go very far before it was impassable again.

This place was beautiful!! I can’t say too much about it being a resort, but the location was fantastic for a short but beautiful hike down to a waterfall! The rock formations were wonderful and the canyon stunning!! The wooden stairs are a bit sketchy, but otherwise wonderful!! Also, we were greeted by a very friendly cat that drooled when we pet him

I thought it was pretty pog. There is so much to see and do. However, there is loads of trash on the banks of the river and no one cleans it up. Definitely a place for a service project if someone needs/wants to do one.

This isn’t a resort, just locals in a falling-apart house charging people $5 to walk down an unmaintained trail to the river. None wore masks. The trail was very unsafe. The river gorge itself was beautiful, but there were a zillion young people partying. There’s got to be another place to access the river gorge.

Step into the wild green and bring your Tivas because it’s slippery in this river valley and you may get wet. Watch o it for trail snails and be sure to keep this park clean. The beauty of the resort is a crucial element for habitat for all the vibrant wildlife living here. Gorgeous gorges.

If you love the outdoors, you HAVE to come here! Where goes shoes for water and hiking. Its so peaceful on a nice sunny day that I could spend the whole day down by the water. The ONLY reason why I cant give this place 5️s (yet) is because the resort is no longer up and running. It seems as if it slowly was just let go by whomever was running it. All it needs is some good TLC and a remodel/update/repair and this place could be a resort once again. Nothing super fancy or expensive, but nice enough to feel like you got away without really getting too far away, make sense?!I say we get a petition or donation page going to vote or insist that happens and make this place beautiful againBRiNG 5 FOR ️ARKiNG/DONATiON TO HELP MAiNTAiN iTPUT iT iN THE BOX AT THE TOP OF THE STAiRSBEFORE YOU START ON THE TRAiLS BELOW️

Went twice this week. Once at each entrance. On the side that has the ghost town, is a much harder hike back up. I had my two sons help to clean up garbage, such as broken bottles, food wrappers, old clothes, etc & we overflowed a HUGE black garbage bag.The hardest part was trying to get it back up the long hike. A guy swimming came to the rescue, as the bag was bursting. I wish people wouldnt throw their glass & shatter it on the rocks. Pack it in, Pack it out.Other than that, this place is AWESOME.The second time we went, that week, we started at the Resort entrance & actually went swimming, as it has many shallow entering points. Water was really cold though, in August.

The pic is outdated. The place is dirty, old. When I was at the Gorge people thought the place was abandoned and the creepy motel. Owner had lack of clothes and of the English literature. Dropped the F-Bomb every 4 words, not good for my kids. Big Dog running wildly around the motel. The gorge itself was beautiful. But the the trail down there was extremely dangerous I can see why they see Use trails at own risk. Next time I recommend going around about 1/4 of a mile, use the trail to go to the gorge, and addition its free to use that trail. Gorge would recommend for family and friends. After this weekend, I would not recommend the particular Resort, while they are many other ways to access the gorge

Trash. I felt like i was getting scammed by the old guy keeping watch over the access to the river. understand that washington is a riparian rights state and no one owns beyond the mean high water mark on the river, access is possible through an easement that the state of washington has to the old townsite and cemetary on the north side of the green river bridge. just park where it is possible on the road shoulder anywhere there is not no parking signs and walk in. there are other spots to access the river in the gorge area that do not try to rip people off by giving them false info that you must pay to access the river.

Owners of the resort were very rude and disturbed the peace as i walked with my friends. The sites were beautiful but it was a shame it was not well maintained. Trash was scattered about the resort and trail paths. You must watch out for poison ivy if you ever decide to visit this mad house. Rats were spotted eating away at the trash. Many Rude and drunk teens threatened us in ways i cannot explained. I highly recommend not going.

The stairs are in really bad shape with rotting boards, screws coming out of the wood, and holes/gaps in the floor. The place needs to be fixed and seems really dangerous. The views from the trail down are beautiful, but I wouldnt recommend taking children or anyone that isnt sure footed.

The Green River Gorge itself is a beautiful place for any outdoors lover or common folk in that case. I loved the water and the feel of nature, but The Resort was a completely different matter. The owner of the Resort was rude to me and my fellow friends for no apparent reason. It dissapointed to see that for such a beautifuI place, the resort was pretty much a dump. I for one found it a bit unsettling that soo many dogs were running around the gorge unattended. Another thing is the bridge was quite slipery and one more than one occasion my companions tumbled. As an avid explorer and lover of the outdoors, I found it sad to see such a beautiful piece of nature run by an unfit and uncivilized ownership. As much as I love Green River gorge, I wouldnt recommend anyone to the circus known as the green River gorge resort.
