This place is absolutely fabulous. We travel all the way from Seattle to Ellensburg for boarding. Our dog is very high spirited but Doug and Alice have been so understanding and patient with her. We also have had two dogs trained for bird hunting by them, and the time and money was worth it! Even our wirehair pup, who does not pay attention well, gained a lot of field skills. I highly recommend this place! I just dont believe what the others who rated a one star said. Appears those three reviews are for the same customer, which is an unfair representation of who the owners are. These are caring people.

We enrolled our dog in Cooke Canyon for training and they lost her. She almost died. They dont know how long she was missing. The owner of the club - Doug didnt take any responsibility and is super unprofessional. A dog owners worst nightmare. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE!

Came here to go pheasant hunting with my father in law and his dog. Everyone was super nice and took care of us, and our dog was doing amazing out there finding the birds so they do a great job training too. I plan on coming out here more with him now, thank you guys!

Our friend almost lost their dog because of them and the business owner took no accountability.

Doug and Brandon are the best when it comes to knowing about all things dogs. Just great people and a great place to look into if you are looking to train your hunting partner. I cant say enough good things about them all. Thank you so much for all that you have done for me and my best friend.

I had never been to a hunting club before, but wanted to take a few clients, who recommended it. From my first call to book a date, to arriving, to the actual hunting, everyone at the club was amazingly friendly, inviting, and helpful. Although my clients had two dogs, the club had dogs available too. Another thing I didnt know about, but very cool. The birds jumped faster than I expected, and we missed several, lol. Overall, we had a great day. I think Ill be doing a lot more hunting trips than fishing trips now. The drive was about the same, and it was a lot more fun to walk and talk, than to sit in a boat... and youre not gonna get skunked on a pheasant hunting trip! Cant wait to go back!

Went over last Thursday for a pheasant hunt at Cook Canyon Hunt Club. The poeple were friendly and helpful. We had a great hunt with Brandon and his dog Willow. Without a doubt we will be going back. Thinking about taking my daughter over next month for her first pheasant hunt.

Took my new pointing Lab over to get her some positive experience. It was a blast for both of us and will do it many more time, all the people there are very helpful, lots of little things that make the day easy and fun.

Cooke Canyon Hunt Club consistency provides a great hunting experience. They have a variety of covers, including pasture, sage, heavy brush creek bottoms and trees. Their birds: Pheasant roosters and hens plus chukar are strong and remind me of wild pheasants in North and South Dakota. The one exception is in the Dakotas if you miss the bird flies to the next county, here you may get a 2nd try 1/4 to 1/2 mile later. Also, these are very nice and helpful people, who make you feel like family. Dan

Amazing place!

Excellent tool for training dogs. I brought my pup out for her first hunt here today I can tell you, the money is well spent. I put the time in and trained her myself, I cant give a review on their training here but the facility is great, everything you could want and need in a hunt club. Getting a young dog on these birds is perfect for building confidence and equally enjoyable for the hunter to get on birds and watch their pup work.
