Sans homeless littering around, running trail is a zen

Back parking is closed off. Walking trails wide open, people respectfully distancing. Enjoyable and safe for a moment alone

Great hill for walking and working out...

Ive been utilizing this conveniently located local park for as long as I can remember. There are lots of walking paths, one can start up at the top of the hill, at the corner of Westwind and Fletcher Parkway, and walk all the way downhill to the Rec center, under the shade of mature eucalyptus.It is a popular destination for popping in to stop and eat your lunch, or to walk your dog, or bring kids to play on the grass.I often find interesting photo opportunities, especially when recent rainfall encourages new plant grown or floral blooms.

Great place for walks

Lovely little gem I never knew existed in El Cajon until last year. Great for exercise or checking out trails or having lunch at the benches. Some homeless around, but everyone is very friendly. I feel safe walking through, even in the evening.

Decent park with a steep grade. i recommend either being in shape or attempting to get in shape if you plan on hiking the trails

We had the whole park to ourselves for my grandsons 4th birthday. Only thing is need have dogs on a leash. Down side of this was just over a cop harrasing us over the dogs running loose. All in all my family and I had a wonderful time together.

Grew up going here, played Indoor Soccer and Basketball here as a kid. Now I take my kid here. She loves the cooking classes and game room. We both love walking the paths and having adventures in the trees.

A nice small and quiet place.

Cool place to come eat lunch in Peace. Never packed. Allways seams like there is only a few people sometimes. Nice brease and shade. Good for taking dogs for walks also.

Hillside is a beautiful park to take a walk or have a picnic in the grass. However, there is no play structure or equipment for children to play on. They have a main rec center area at the entrance that is sometimes open during the day. I believe they have some kind of daycare/ afterschool activities held inside the buildings. They have restrooms inside but sometimes the gates locked. They have a second set of restrooms at the top of the hill, but its a bit of a walk unless you drive up to the second parking area. Those bathrooms are also less private, less cared for, and more rundown. I think the park closes around sundown. They do have some sort of staff/ranger who patrol around from time to time to keep things pleasant.

Lots of homeless, dogs with no leashes when it clearly says leashes at all times, bathroom is horrible most of the time due to the homeless. Find a better park...

I loved running there, although Im really cautious some times, because its too empty especially in the evening or too early in the morning, maybe its just me but just in case

I really like this park. One of the better parks in El Cajon.

Always one of my favorite places to take my little dog & she loves it too, unfortunately like so many other area parks this little gem is being invaded by tweakers and the homeless. A real shame.
