What an astonishingly beautiful park/lake this is. Locals told us that this used to be a gravel pit and it is approximately 45 ft deep. Supposedly there is a crane somewhere in the middle. We didnt have the gear to find it but thought it was a pretty cool story.This is a great place to spend a summer afternoon. It was very quiet and empty in the morning and picked up a little bit in the afternoon hours, mostly families and a few college aged kids.Overall a very pleasant experience. We recommend hanging out here ️

Absolutely beautiful pavilion that is well maintained! I rented this for a bridal shower I was hosting and found this place very large, to practice social distancing, and very clean! Very very happy with the City Of Eden Prairies facilities and high standards for cleanliness

It has everything! Great picnic areas, beach, playground, pavilion for bigger groups. Fun for kids & all ages. Beautiful lake is an added bonus!

This is a wonderful lake and a park, along with a major trail passing parallel to it. Has a beach, picnic tables, restrooms, changing rooms, kids play area, along with volleyball courts. It also has a boat unloading area. Has several benches with barbeque setup.

Riley Lake is such a perfect place for kids to swim and have a picnic. Very lovely park!

This is a great place to hang out with a group of friends or family. They have a lot of barbecue grills out there and a shower area to clean up after goin into the lake. Sometimes I just like to go there and watch the sun set. They also have tennis court there.

A nice large park with plenty of activities. Boat ramp, swimming area, courts. Childrens play area is fenced in, which is great if you have runners.

Great time today. The beach and park is on the site of an old resort so great views of the whole lake. Has a great fenced in large play structure area, with a covered structure for little kids. The beach has constant life guard attention and has a small, roped off and dedicated swimming area. There is a boat launch and fishing pier in the park.

I love biking this area or taking a walk with the pups around the lake. It’s a very pretty spot with convenient parking and little sights all around the park. Surely you should go check it out!

Riley Lake is one of the best family areas in the west metro. There are activities for all. The lake is lovely and very clean. Great swim area with sand and life guards. Plenty of bbqs and tables to cook. Sand Volleyball courts, note they do get busy. Fun fenced in play area near the swim area. New boat ramp and parking.

Beautiful lakeside setting with excellent facilities for picnics and just being outdoors.

It is a beautiful facility in very good shape the boat launch has been upgraded and there is parking for cars and trailers. they have great picnic facilities and sand volleyball courts and tennis courts. The swimming beach is very nice and has life guards although were getting to the end of the season. Eden Prairie Lets Go Fishing branch takes seniors and handicap and veterans fishing at no charge what a fabulous organization!

Still my personal best was caught at this lake 21” Large Mouth Bass a lot of big Northern’s to caught a 38” out of there as well very fun lake to fish

Clean and beautiful, kids play area looked awesome clean walking/bike paths fishing pier with a variety of fish! Life guard at the beach not too big and not too small.

Has a nice beach and good playground close by. There is also a big pavilion for people to organize an event or just sit and chat in the shade.

Remodeled beach area is amazing! Viewing areas of the water to watch the little ones, with umbrellas to stay out of the sun. Shower and foot wash to get all the sand off. Great upgrades to a great beach! Also 4 awesome sand volleyball courts!

This is one of Eden Prairies best parks since they updated it. It has 4 sand volleyball courts, tennis courts with pickleball lines, a basketball court, a playground, a pavilion, a beach, a boat launch, a disc golf practice area, and a great picnic area. This is a great place to spend a hot summer day.

My favorite beach if you havent been your missing out. The sunsets are amazing.

My son loved this place he did a lot of running around played at both the playgrounds its an amazing place for parents and kids. And if you wants to barbecue they have grills and its a great place for fishing and swimming!

Busy before 4th!!

Great play ground and pavilion. We hosted a work party with a food truck and it was a perfect setting for that kind of event. Really easy to schedule with the city parks department. Lots of construction going on around the beach and boat launch, excited to return next spring to see the final results. So far the area looks amazing with all the space they cleared you can really see the beach and lake now from all areas of the park. They also have a disc golf course it looks like, never knew they had one there. I didnt try the course but may try to play it this fall yet. You also can play basket ball, tennis, beach volley ball, baseball/softball and picnic with grills provided around the park.

Place looks amazing. All the updates look so beautiful. Been coming to this lake my whole life and it just keeps getting better.

Had the company picnic at Riley park. Really lovely facility, clean and well kept. Parking was plentiful. Outhouse was across the parking lot... not very convenient.

Nice beach, boating, and parks. If you live near here, its a convenient park to go to. Nothing particularly special though.

Our favorite beach for small kids! No parking or entry fee but you get lifeguards, shallow and sandy Beach (maybe 5 feet deep at furthest ropes), large grassy area with grills and picnic tables (those cant be reserved formally so on weekends large groups squat with them all day waiting for family to arrive for BBQs and picnics), a large fenced playground to dry a bit before driving home, canoe and paddle boards for rent, a couple of sand volleyball courts, tennis courts, swimming area is adjacent to public boat launch, and a nice bike/hiking path around the area too. There is a large covered pavilion for rent thru Eden Prairie for a large fee. If there are public restrooms they are only available with the rental.

The beach volleyball courts here are fantastic. Make sure to bring your own nets, but expect great sand, permanent full court lines, and an unimpeded view of the sky and lake.

Great place for picnic or boating or even some games. There is a volleyball, basketball and tennis court. Some amenities require schedule based booking on their website.

We were here for a company picnic and the whole are was stunning

We were with about 50 people, it was great. Theres a nearby playground for kids, a nearby baseball field, a nearby wide open grassy field to do whatever, the lake is close, plenty of parking.
