All trails are not created equal--this is a beautiful hilly hike. Be prepared to get your heart pumping and your adrenaline flowing! Lovely trails!! My first time here, and I will definitely be back!

All dirt trails that go deep inside a wooded area surrounded by rich peoples houses. although there is only about 2 mi of trail it consists of many loops up and down little valleys with lots of creeks along the way

Great views and I nice place to hike. Can get a bit icy in the winter and early spring. Can also be muddy and slippery diring snow melt or a lot of rain.

This park is great for picnics, hiking and just viewing nature. I think great for kids imaginations as there are many great areas to explore and build forts. Great workout with many hills. Lovely view of the valley from the bluffs. Picnic area and portable pottys are a great perk.

The area is nice and there are trails to hike and places to picnic and stuff like that. The parking is at the bottom of some bluffs and you can hike through the trees on unpaved trails to the top and see some decent views.Theres not much parking so I wouldnt be surprised if the lot fills up regularly. It was full when we parked and still full when we left about an hour later. We were there after some decent rains in the last month or so, as a result some of the trails are pretty washed out. Its not unsafe, but its not super easy going either. We thought the trails werent marked very well, so we ended up going in circles for a little bit. In the end we ended up leaving before getting around to much of the area.So do better than we did and sort of pay attention to the trail maps (which are small, but they are posted frequently) or use an app to keep from trapseing up and down the bluffs if thats not what youre hoping for.

This is a nice little hiking area. Pretty overlook and at least 2 picnic areas. Easy hikes for our 5 and 7 year olds.

Love the shaded trails. Theres 1 that is steep. Theres also another that is gentler but longer. Both go to same summit which has a wide view of MN River and Shakopee. I prefer going there when snow is on the ground--no bugs and I enjoy the challenge to not fall.

Wonderful natural area for a hike. The paths could be a bit better marked as it’s kind of easy to get turned around. Also it’s basically treated as an off leash dog park.

This is one of the best trails in the southwest metro. Great for hiking, exploring or running. I go here with my kids and take the trail up to the highest point to catch one of the gorgeous bored that oversee Bloomington, Savage & Shakopee. They also have a fountain in which you can fill your jigs with.

Theres some challenging hiking here. The downside is the area is a little small, and a bit swampy in the low spots. You can pretty easily walk every trail loop here in less than a couple of hours. The swamps make a good mosquito breeding ground, so in the spring and late fall its not too bad, but in the summer it can get pretty bad. There is a spring here, but theres a lot of iron around so it doesnt taste the greatest. There are some nice views of the river valley if you dont mind the climbing.

My fiance and I have been here twice so far this year (2018). The first time we visited, we were surprised by the trails - the one that was listed as more difficult should have been listed as very challenging due to fall/trip hazards. The incredibly steep rocky hill is worth the climb for the views - so make the climb if youre physically able! The second time we visited this park (7/5/2018) we had a picnic with our two dogs at the shelter area, which was fabulous despite a few mosquitos! Its a shame this park only has one picnic shelter with only two tables.

I just moved here from Wisconsin. We have great trails in Wisconsin, Devils Lake, Parnell Trail, Butler Lake and many more all form from the Ice Age. Ive walked Richard Anderson Park 3 times I like it alot. Im going to start drinking the water on a daily basis Minnesota has a great artesian wells trails, and state parks. I work for this line for 30 years so I know how beautiful Minnesota is and Im glad to be back.
