I used a Groupon to do BYOJ and it was AMAZING!!! The co-owner and instructor were so professional and VERY friendly. He (the co-owner) helped me get the kids ready to paint since we did arrive 5 minutes late. Afterwards we had a long conversation about everything from society to the arts and other programs they offer. Im really shocked by alot of the 1 star reviews Im reading because my experience was the complete opposite. The only hiccup we had was the kids only rule. I did advise that although the ticket says kids only I thought it was referring to painting but they meant it literally. All parents were asked to leave the facility. So since I live 30 mins away I grabbed lunch and sat in my car. It wasnt a big deal I just would have been more prepared if I knew I actually had an hour to myself. But again I was extremely pleased with my experience and well DEFINITELY BE RETURNING!

My sons absolutely love coming for the kids classes Saturday mornings. The only downside is that the time flies # if only the class lasted for 2 hours. But all in all it’s a great place .

Do not waste your time or money!!!! This place is run by ghetto unprofessional people ! I made an attempt to attend a kids paint n sip here with my 8 year old daughter who dreams of being an artist. We had been planning the trip for 2 weeks and this morning I call to make sure they were still having the class as I’ve called them on other occasions and no one has answered. Long story short the staff is extremely rude and ghetto. And even had the nerve to call my phone back after our initial phone call to start an argument with me... over a kids paint n sip class! Imagine the kind of people who are running this establishment that will call a potential customer back after ending a phone call just to argue! Also imagine the look on my daughters face when I had to tell her we couldn’t go to this event she was so excited about because the people who were running the event couldn’t even supply basic customer service...

The experience was excellent. Makeba and Rashad were very personable and full of personality. They both made us feel at home and comfortable with our poor painting skills (lol). I would recommend Seven Arts Center to anyone who is looking for a fun night.

The owner is very unprofessional and ghetto all I asked for was a refund for the service I was not rendered. Still have no refund and they have ignored my calls. I can see if I went to go paint but I did not and I just wanted my money back simple as that. I will let everyone I know in atlanta not to waste your time on this black owned business it is not worth the headache. Based on how the owner acted I would never feel safe to take my children there.

I have NEVER stepped foot into Seven Arts Center and thanks to John, I NEVER will. I called several times to speak with someone about a refund since I was unable to make it to the event on the 27th of January due to a sick child. John called me back and told me even though it was a family emergency 24 hour notice was still necessary. How was I to know 24 hours prior that my daughter would get the flu??? When I asked if I could use the monies paid toward another class that was also a NO! Very accommodating!! Best 60 bucks I ever wasted!! Thanks John!

This is the most honest review that I could write up to describe my deplorable experience at Seven Arts Center. Where to begin? I was already anxious about going to this establishment because of the very negative reviews that I had heard word of mouth from past patrons. In my naivety, I assumed these naysayers were being way too critical and I decided to give this place a try anyways. Especially after discovering that this art studio is black-owned (or black-operated?) I was more than inclined to spend my money with them. Oh what a mistake! As soon as I walked through the door, the manager, was standing behind the front desk with irritation permeating her face. Yet, she greeted me warmly and came off very personable. Things were going smoothly until I guess she may have gotten comfortable or had forgotten that I was there. She proceeded to go on a tangent about another patron, whom I am assuming was the cause for her irritation, and say the most RUDE and flat out DISRESPECTFUL things about them AND their child to one of her employees. I was mortified! Not only was this extremely unprofessional but what was said was definitely worth a PRIVATE conversation to be held between the manager and that particular patron! Not to be broadcasted aloud for everyone to hear. Smh. In my curiosity, I sat quietly and observed to see if anymore egregious behavior would unfold and oh boy, did it. Even the way that she (the manager) interacted with the employee was very condescending. (That was one of the complaints that I had heard from other patrons, that the manager can be quite condescending and patronizing unwarrantedly and if addressed she can become rather defensive.) I personally didnt witness any defensiveness but condescending and patronizing, most definitely. What really solidified my decision to never come back to this establishment again was the abominable things she (the manager) said about one of her employees (Im assuming an employee based off the context of the conversation). This employee is expecting a child and she (the manager) shouted to another employee WHILE WORKING, first informing them of the girls pregnancy and continued to say something along the lines about the girls career being over for getting pregnant so early and how that girl wasnt going to make it in life and how she should give up. She continued to bash this poor girls integrity and honor by repeatedly calling her stupid and laughing at this girls circumstance!!!! My deepest condolences go out that girl. I was sick to my stomach! WOW, is really all that I can say. I honestly didnt want to leave this review but according to Dr. Claude Anderson when we (as a community) allow black owned or operated businesses to carry on with bad practices, we (as a community) hinder the growth and expansion of that business and we let our community down. Saying nothing slows down everyones progression. Unfortunately, the antagonism, unprofessionalism, and animosity that was being spewed definitely deterred me from reaching out to them (management/owner of Seven Arts) knowing that I would receive the same. Whats most upsetting is that Seven Arts Center has all the potential to be a phenomenal studio experience right in the heart of East Point. The owner wasnt there and itd be extremely unfair of me to put this on them, but from reading the other reviews online and the things people are saying word of mouth, that mangers negative energy is definitely going to be detrimental to this business and I highly recommend they take notice of that before its too late. For those who still dare to go, I hope your experience is much better! As for me, Ill definitely be taking my business to the other local and more ethical art studios.

The arts may be our strongest tool toward healing the mind, body, soul and land. They know this at Seven Arts Center. No matter what age, gender, nationality or specialty Seven Arts Center will embrace it and grow it.

If I could give SEVEN ARTS CENTER a 0, I would! The level of customer service is non-existent.. from THE OWNER himself. When THE OWNER failed to communicate ahead of time with us as a customer, he erroneously blamed his error on me. When we tried to meet THE SEVEN ARTS CENTER half way to see if there was anything they could do because it was my daughters bday, they didnt try to do anything. Just deny, deny, deny. When my sister asked what can be done on my behalf, as I am laid up in the hospital on bed rest, shes told by the owner Why are you in here??? This doesnt involve you! This is none of your business! The OWNER says this to the aunt of the bday girl!!When told that a review was going to be posted avout the SEVEN ARTS CENTER online, the OWNER states He doesnt care. It doesnt matter. No one reads reviews.PROVE HIM WRONG! DONT PATRONIZE SEVEN ARTS CENTER. Clearly, he doesnt care what customers think or whether or not they return. So, dont give him the opportunity.

Very very ratchet . The instructor was nice but you had to keep asking for more paint like you were two years old. It was not worth the money at all.

We found a deal on Groupon for Couples BYOB and paint event. The Groupon did not specify couples will be sharing a canvas. We arrived a few mins early and this place had an foul odor. Smells like somebody lives there. The guy asked to see our voucher and without explain anything he went ahead to redeem our voucher on my phone. They kept their door locked the whole time. Didnt communicate with us as we waited for the event to start. They did not start until 20 mins after 7pm. If you plan on bringing your own bottle of wine, make sure to bring your own cups (they sell wine glasses 2 for $7 & 3 for $10). We went next door and got a free cup of ice. The canvases had pencils trace marks before we arrived .My girlfriend and I were the only ones there and a few more people didnt arrived until 40 mins later. Towards the end I just started doing my own thing. Once we finished we ended up leaving early. We did not enjoy the event here and we will never return to this location.
