The best botanical garden I have ever visited. Not only are the plants beautiful and well kept but also they provide you info on each one. Even if you are not looking for an educational opportunity when you come here you will still learn some cool facts. Truly a place for anyone and everyone whether youre into learning more about plants or simply enjoy looking at beautiful plants. Plus, its located on the campus of Michigan State, so there is plenty else around to do and see before and after.

The most pleasing aspects of my only visit to Beal Garden were the phenomenal organization and surprising diversity in this 2 acre formal demonstration garden. Impressive from end to end and top to bottom, well worth your time to preambulate slowly through. Dont miss the well labeled poisonous plants plot. A Five Star garden if there ever was one.

Beal botanical garden is a relaxing stop in the hustle and bustle of a college campus. They have numerous plants on display with information on the genera and specie. It sits right on the red cedar river just west of the library. Its a great place to take a date or just go by yourself for some meditation. The fencing and the main gates were made by Stefani and Co. utilizing seamless metal tubing to create a bamboo style structure. Built by my wifes uncle, Carrey Stefani.

Youre best off coming here during late spring, summer, or early autumn. Otherwise there isnt much to do, but walk and read the hundreds of plant signs. You could easily lose an hour here not trying. The parking is the difficult part of this venue.
