Quiet, clean place run by nice people.

If you’re looking to take the day and fish this is one of the easiest places, easy meaning: you can rent a boat (if you don’t have one like myself) and parking is always convenient.

This is what happens to a prime outdoor resource when its run by bureaucrats with no clue about what they are managing. The batteries they FORCE you to rent from them are good for less than 30 minutes before they die. They are not 12 volt deep cycle marine batteries. These batteries will leave you stranded and are dangerous if the weather gets bad. There is no logical reason why fishermen cant bring their own batteries and their own electric motors. If they are worried about introducing hydrilla its too late as its already in the Eno and Little rivers watershed. If they want to save face for this worthless policy just have everyone dunk their motor in a five gallon bucket of bleach/water mix and no issues with seeds or plant fragments. Even OWSA gets this!!!! They also need to stay till dark at least one day a week ( Friday maybe ) in the summer for good fishing when its hot. How about some night tournaments on the Full moon three times in the summer till midnight like Alamance does. Not expecting much from these clowns.

Nice small, quiet and quaint fishing slip with rentals available or bring yours (trolling motors only) - lots of large mouth basses.

I would like to say shame on the city of Durham..you hire garbage,you have made fishing here just about impossible...poor quality of equipment and hiring people with no ambition of outdoors or a love for fishing. The equipment has got to be the worst Ive seen in 15yrs batteries die to fast and theyre not the right kind...lawnmower batteries are not the same as a 12Volt...and your getting away with charging individuals when they cant even enjoy the activity without a battery dying to early..the funds are not spent wisely...shame on you

Not much access for bank fishing but it is beautiful! Very well maintained.

Been fishing here since 2010, an it has got worse each year. At this point the batteries are shot and trolling motors are trash. This place is getting away woth robbery charging 17 for city residents and 27 for non resident. To the public the lake has been drained so much water as of recent the lake is almost unfishable. Water is atleast 6 ft low

Cash and checks are the only forms of payment accepted at this time. Lake attendants have printed maps of lake that show where not to go to prevent using up all of the battery.

That place has gone way down hillBeen fishing there for more than 20 years batteries and motors wore outThe head lady of course works for the city and does a terrible job staff also notEver on time and rude,will not be going back and like I said been fishing there 20years my advice do not go there or you will regret paddling back to dock after equipment breaks
