Gotta agree with other reviewers about James. He helped us with hiking trails, restaurants, and fresh towel delivery on day 2. Place was clean with access to sanitizer just about everywhere. Employees were in masks and the room was very very clean. There was even a sanitized sticker on the in room freezer for the ice maker. The hotel is in an excellent location within walking distance from plenty of venues including a nice grocery store with a full deli. You also have access to the indoor pool next door but capacity is limited due to the pandemic.

Good place. Everything is nice and new. I think they had fairly recent renovations. They need to update their vrbo pictures - they’re outdated images. I don’t like the fact that the rooms don’t get cleaned or restocked daily. You can just call and have them bring more soap or towels or whatever the heck. This place does not have a pool. However, the neighboring Best Western does. See my review on the neighboring hotel. The pool is very sad.

Great downtown location within walking distance of everything.Nice efficient rooms with full kitchen if youre going to be doing any cooking.My only nit was the general temperature was so warm I had to turn on the air conditioner in November to keep our room a comfortable temperature.

Let me start by saying James, who checked us in, is the nicest person. Such a caring employee who immediately made us feel so welcome. The room is nice and spacious, the hot tubs are great. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. But for real, James need all the raises and awards for being the kindest human we’ve met.

We loved it here! Every one of the staff members are kind, friendly, responsive and helpful. Our unit was clean and sanitized upon our arrival. They gave us a surprise gift for our 26th anniversary and made up towels to look like two cute bears! The matress and pillows were so comfortable that I inquired how to buy them. The kitchen area is small but lovely, complete with soft close drawer and doors. The area itself is replete with great hiking trails and beautiful drives. Two blocks away are lots of cute shops, coffee places, wine bars and restaurants. We sincerely recommend Club Wyndham Durango. When you check in, they will give you a parking plack. Be sure to use it to avoid getting a ticket!!

This Wyndham is in a great location, right next to the train station and museum, Main St. with shops, great dining and historical hotels. Very walkable. The rooms were nice and clean, the kitchen was a bonus. The hot tubs on the 4th floor patio was a great place to watch the sunset. The cherry on top was James! He provided excellent service, very friendly, remembered us by name when greeting us, helped with whatever we needed which is rare to find these days. Thank you James and Wyndham, we had a great time and can’t wait to come back!

Great property, amazing staff. James is the best! We somehow messed up our reservation and only booked two nights when we meant three. They were very accommodating, and helped us stay the third night with no notice and limited availability. Kudos to the team. The place is spotless and everyone we encountered had a smile (albeit a masked smile) and skins word. Right downtown, walking distance to Main Street. 5 stars all the way!

Thoroughly impressed!!! Exes, co-workers, bosses, etc. can attest to how nit-picky, (naggy,) I am, and I have no complaints about the cleanliness or service here. I literally would rather sleep in the woods than stay in most hotels, but Club Wyndham at Durango provided me with a little oasis just as clean as my crazy OCD self would keep it. Thanks for the home away from home; very necessary, and extremely enjoyable to be here.

Location is perfect - easy walk to everything in downtown Durango. Staff is friendly and helpful, and the full kitchen makes the stay even more comfortable

The staff is great! Front desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance very friendly, helpful and smiling.The Durango Silverton narrow gauge rail station is a block away. For anyone concerned, we did not hear it at all. The only train whistles we heard were in the distance and not very many times.Our room was a 1 bedroom, full kitchen, living room dining room combination so it was a little small but also efficient. New kitchen, and furnishings, great bed!Hiking in the local area is abundant, short easy to long and not so easy. We did a great hike on Vallecito Creek trail.We will return in various seasons because it will be different and have lots to do whatever the weather.

This place is great. Conveniently located to historic downtown and well kept.

Staff was hospitable and friendly. Bed was comfortable as were the living room furnishings. Unfortunately, the interior decor of the hotel and rooms was dark and dated. Too much light pollution at night came into the living area from the indoor hallway. Light crept in around the edges of the hallway window curtain and In from under the door. Bathroom floor tile and especially the grout appeared dingy and dirty. Kitchen area was clean. Nice to have coffee, hot chocolate, tea and a bag of popcorn as part of the room amenities. Probably won’t stay there again because the walls did little to keep noise from slamming doors and loud guests from disturbing our sleep.

Love coming here every December, family friendly and amazing staff, James at the front desk is always above and beyond, super friendly, helpful and accommodating with great recommendations. Very clean and stylish updated rooms with an amazing location downtown and right next to the train depot walking distance to restaurants, the Polar Express, and a local liquor store 5 min. walk away. We will definitely be back.

The staff was awesome, the location is great, and units are nicely outfitted. On the contrary, I did not like that no garbage pickup or sheets were changed without requesting the service from the front desk. Also the reciprocal Happy Hour with BW was useless.

Perfect location! The hotel is off the main street so it is quiet but within walking distance to bars and restaurants.

This property was very nice and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. My family loves that there was a pool table and that the front desk had games.

A lovely place to stay. Its an excellent location, right next to the main strip, so its only a 2 block walk away. No need to drive anywhere in town. Its also tucked away in a spot that its quiet. The suite was the perfect size for the price! I was particularly impressed with how their contactless check in and check out worked and all of their practices put into place during Covid. Traveling is tricky right now but this place made me feel safe and comfortable. It was the perfect short getaway. Definitely recommend this place and for sure we will be back. Hopefully we will be able to experience some of the amenities (that are currently closed bc of covid) in the future!

The rooms are newly updated. Brittany was FANTASTIC with all of our questions. This location can not be beaten in Durango. Walking distance from the train Depot and all the Main Street shops and restaurants. The rooftop has lounge chairs and 2 jacuzzi tubs. The first floor has a fitness center and laundry (free) for guests. The Best Western next door allows Wyndham guests to use their pool.

Loved it, could hear the train every morning, close to main Street with all the shops and restaurants within walking distance.

Excellent proximity to downtown and tourist attractions, excellent front desk staff and amenities. Full kitchen with washer and dryer downstairs, convenient free parking. The steam train was too close—smell of coal tar permeated the air. Construction work across the street and up one block. Kitchen was great, but left too little room for closet and bath. Noise from ventilation system was excessive.

I didnt take any pictures but I would come back to this place for sure. We did get the room on the top floor closest to the hotubs so that helped. Room was very spacious. Bathroom was really nice and appliances were new. The location is superb. This is my 4th year at snowdown and I wish I would have found this place sooner. They even gave us a gift basket full of candy and chips lol. Im sure that was luck, but it was still cool. There is also great food nearby.

I stayed here for a few days this month and I had such a great stay! The front desk was happy and helpful and I have never been so taken-care-of in my life. They checked in on me after the first night, and made sure I was aware of all the amenities and resources at my disposal. It was also within walking distance of several of Durangos amazing sights and experiences. - Could not have asked for a better stay!

The staff James in particular was very helpful and nice. The rooms are perfect as well as the kitchen. Pull out couch is pretty comfortable. Only problem is the smoke detector is right over the oven which causes it to go off when cooking. Other than that its a great place to stay great walking distance to everything.

Loved this place and will definitely stay again! Super close walking distance to the train station, very nice staff, rooms were awesome, spacious, and included everything we needed for our family. They are connected with best Western across parking lot so we were able to enjoy their indoor heated pool and hot tub. They accommodated our request for adjoining rooms with our friends no problem. Our stay couldnt have been better.

Our room was located on the fourth floor just steps away from the rooftop hot tubal which overlooked the mountains, beautiful! Updated clean room with full kitchen. King bed was very comfortable. We took advantage of the indoor pool also, located just across the street shared by best western. Our stay was wonderful and the staff was very friendly.

Nice place to stay. We visited while attending the Polar Express just about a block & a half away. The rooms were clean, comfortable & warm.

Had trouble getting keys after making prior registration wanted more for a pet deposit, stayed in a room all night without working air. No refund for the inconvenient, booked a single king got stuck in a double queen (not what I paid for) rude staff! Not the weekend I planned to have; after saving a year, to have a good time and they gave me a hard time. Keep driving,they arent even close to any good locations. I wont stay here again

Wonderful experience. Clean and comfortable rooms. The employees were all so kind and helpful. Only downside in our three nights there the water backed up in the tub 3 to four inches when taking a shower. It was reported.

Facility could use some updates but otherwise good stay. Most of the staff is friendly a g helpful. Kudos to James best customer service professional anywhere!!

Wow! A brilliant location and fabulous room! The staff is really nice (especially Brittany). I really enjoyed the roof top hot tub, amazing view of the mountain. The kitchens are surprisingly fully equipped so even though theres tons a stuff to do you dont even need to leave your room! Cant wait for our next Wyndham stay!

The access to hotel was great. Room was big we had a suite, with the sofa bed. It was comfy. They were cm friendly and helped us unbelievably!

Great location, staff is friendly. Rooms are comfortable. One recommendation would be to remove the tub and replace with a walk in shower. The tub is so high, I suspect older people (or someone with bad knees, etc) have a hard time hurdling over it, making it a great chance of slipping.

Very helpful staff! Always with a suggestion for a good scenic drive or a great restaurant along the way! Rooms are small, but well appointed. The ceiling of the bathrooms is tin...strange. The twin hot tubs on the roof are very nice, but the controls are not all functional. It is within walking distance from all that Durango has to offer...I will be back!

Our room was very nice and very clean, the personnel were extremely friendly. the only problem is there hours we arrived after the closed and left before they open. There is a Best Western next door that handles late arrivals so its not to bad. Great location to downtown Durango

Love this place nice & big & clean affordable.

The room was quite nice and staff was helpful and friendly. Our only issue was on the last day. We were trying to do our laundry before we left but the dryers were not working, well at least. It took us about 4 hours to get our clothes semi dry. Upside was that the staff let us check out late because of the inconvenience.

Nice cozy place with a good view and an even better location. Downtown Durango in walking distance. The dishwasher in our condo was leaking but they were very prompt about correcting that issue.

We come out here every year for snowdown this was the first year the Wyndham enforced permit parking which we very much appreciate as the parking lot would fill up quick with non guest in past years.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay

The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The desk staff have made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The rooftop hot tubs are great, though they only stay open until 9. Its just a 2 minute walk to downtown and all of the great restaurants there. All in all, weve really enjoyed our stay and will be back.

This property is a stone’s throw away from an old Uranium Smelting facility. The facility closed down in the 80’s, and the area where the tailings were stored has been turned into a Dog Park. Even so, had we known this fact...we NEVER would have stayed there.

Excellent customer service right as soon as you walk in, we stayed for 4 nights and just felt like home andaits very clean. We will definitely recommend this hotel to firends and family for the future.

Great location. Nice, clean rooms. The worst Internet service I have ever encountered at a Wyndham. Complained twice. Was informed many others also were complaining. No improvement throughout the stay despite management acknowledgement of the problem. Not very impressive.

Hotel is ok. Room has some kind of food smell. Its like someone cooks in our room every time we walked in. Room is a bit small for two adults, two kids and 3 luggages. However, staffs are friendly. Location is great.

My husband and i could not have been happier with our little condo. Both well stocked, clean and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The staff could not have been more pleasant, helpful and knowledgable about the area and we will definetly return.

Only getting a four because when I called for towel refreshment they never came. Hot tubs on roof are wonderful. My smoke alarm went off when baking, think due to heat.
