Just went to Oasis beach. I think there are 4 or 5 beaches total at this park. A little rocky, but a good place to look for shells. Saw a few people fishing around the breakwaters so there might be a chance for catching fish here. Ample parking. The restrooms and shower area are clean and well maintained, but need more lights in restrooms, a little dark. Definitely going back, maybe hit one of the other beaches next time.

Honeymoon Island is amazing! We loved it and went back again before we left the area and plan to visit again. During the weekends it can be crowded however we returned on a weekday and there was plenty of space. Very kid and fur baby friendly. Try to go at low tide so you can really enjoy the shallow water and peaceful beaches.

I went on Sunday afternoon and it was cloudy outside so North Beach was almost deserted looking but I love it!! There’s wildlife, plenty birds, lots of interesting trees... you can walk for miles along the shore feeling like you’re just out in nature. Plenty parking at each beach on the island. $8 car fee to enter. It was peaceful and had plenty pockets to picnic or layout. Some parts of the water is very rocky....ouch! Can’t wait to go back and explore more! The restaurants on site closed at 5pm not sure about other days of the week. You can also see the Clearwater skyline from across the water pretty neat view.

It is a very beautiful beach-natural, rustic appeal. The waves are really big, so much fun to swim in and surf . The only issue is the rocks in the water, just off the shore line. They are very sharp & difficult to walk over to get farther out to the sandbar, where its soft . We put on our sandals & it helped. I highly recommend wearing sneakers or surf shoes.

We were very sad to see the devistation that the storm seasons toll took on our favorite beach. However, this is the first time weve been there in the fall instead of the winter or spring so were hoping that now that Eta has hopefully concluded hurricane season, clean up time begins. Erosion was prominent but well be back. Its a great beach and we have confidence it will once again be closer to what it was as far as nature allows.

Love Honeymoon Island. I go to the North Beach and walk even further north. The beach is nicer up there. The water is gorgeous. I also love walking on the nature trail and seeing the great horned owls and the bald eagles plus many other birds, animals and plants. Its very buggy out there so bring repellent. You can also take the ferry over to Caladesi Island. The best time I had there was on a chilly day at low tide!

Very lovely park, lots of wild tortoises around. Rented a bike to ride the trail but beware, most of the trail is deep sand, deep mud, or rough long grass. Very challenging ride on the cruiser rental bikes. Theres a very cool little beach at the tip of the trail where there were lots of living things, jellyfish, snails, horseshoe crabs

I love the park, it has plenty of parking at the main beach. At high tide though the beach area is very narrow and has a lot of sharp shells, so be sure to bring your water shoes if you have soft feet. The trails are nice, I saw nesting eagles on the Osprey trail, pretty nice.Cool park, kinda expensive to get in,$8 and you can pay online; lots to do and looks like fun if you have a street or mountain bicycle.

Very natural beach that is covered in shells. Tons of parking and on-site bathroom facilities. There is a small fee to get into the park but I would say it is well worth it. Going an hour before close (sunset) is half price. At high tide the beach can be quite small but at low tide the beach is rather large

We are on our honeymoon and we were expecting that this place would be something super romantic with food/drinks/views and activities, but it turned out to be just a paid access to a small crowded beach. There is a park fee, you can’t fly drones here, hard to find food or drinks, so you have to be prepared to bring everything with you. We were quite disappointed because usually a paid beach means it’s bigger and cleaner, etc., but this one was so much smaller than any other free beaches we’ve been to in the same area. I would recommend skipping this island unless you have so much extra time to wait in line to get in and look for a place at the beach.

We love Honeymoon Island State Park. It is our favorite dog beach. Honeymoon Island has been my favorite beach for years, until today. Im a Snowbird, just arriving for the season. Wheres the beach? It was high tide, leaving only a very narrow strip of sand. Well, mainly rocks! The rinse shower area was gone, no washing off feet. There was more sand on the walkway than on the beach. Extremely disappointed. FL needs to do more to protect their beaches!! There is still lots of positives, but if youre looking for a day at the beach, go elsewhere.

Great place for long walks! The trails are mostly covered in pine trees and much of it is grass. Bring sandals so you can take them off when it becomes sandy at the end of them. Almost all of the photos Ive uploaded are from the Osprey Trail and Pelican Trail which connect to each other. There is not clear signage, but you can see on a map where they link. Unless youre up for a sweat, I would not suggest going here on a really hot day. And bring bug spray if you plan on hiking the trails! The mosquitoes on the return trip from the Pelican trail were particularly vicious. The long, narrow strip of Honeymoon Island Beach to the North Beach is about a 2-hour round trip walk! Once you get about 20 minutes into it, you will see nearly no one and feel like youre on a different planet. We went on a busy weekend after their reopening and were surprised by how empty it still was out there. Our plan was to have a picnic, but a persistent seagull would not stop badgering us for our food, so we just watched the sunset falling over the gulf. We saw the beautiful Roseate spoonbills hanging out in the marsh on the other side of the beach. I would love to come back when the ferry is open and go to Caladesi Island.

Very quaint area. 8.00 park fee. Plenty of bathrooms, small cafe/gift shop that sell hotdogs, fries...very reasonable. Wash areas for coolers, feet...Ok, the BIG drawback is that there is very limited beach area that is not covered in rocks. If bringing children the rocks are the drawback. If adults that want to layout and tan its the perfect place.

My beach. I often walk from the furthest north beach house to the end of the beach north. Its about 5 miles round trip. Especially at low tide when there is a wide beach, it is a lovely walk. Its not crowded once you get beyond the first area where beach goers are... but enough folks that it isnt too isolated for a lone walker. I never tire of this place... and have been visiting often for 37 years! A Florida gem!

They take credit cards now.The beach is wonderful! But bring a thermacell or bug spray because mosquitoes and biting midges are an issue whether on a trail or on the beach. Had a fantastic time and saw an EASTERN DIAMONDBACK RATTLESNAKE crossing the road by the visitors center. STAY ON TRAILS. DO NOT LET DOGS OFF LEASH. KEEP KIDS IN SIGHT. Enjoy the wildness of the preserve safely. (Theres also lots of cacti, so keep your eyes open for those underfoot).Dont dig giant holes in the beach, it can kill sea turtles, adult and hatchlings. Fill them in if you do. Dont chase shorebirds or make them fly. They may be nesting or have fledglings, so dont harass them.

Best beach on the continent? Well, the views, including the drive there, especially from Tampa, is a must do thing. I rode a motorcycle across maybe 10 miles of narrow bridge over the water. It was breathtaking, in a word. The beach itself, once more there are angelic views. Pristine white sands, so many sea shells. Shallow waters for a good distance out, maybe 50-80 feet from shore. Now the gripes: theres so many huge jagged rocks on the coast and shallows youll get real close to breaking ankles or cutting skin. I dont want any fancy tropical diseases when hospitals are overrun with Rona. Bring some sandles or water shoes, youll thank yourself (and me!). Another thing, its too touristy for me. Parking being right there is super convenient, but that means lazy lawn chairs galore as some people just set theirs up right at the water line. I suppose for families its fun.But if you want really nice bit of adventure and make it seem like youre alone, even if for a few moments, hike to the north tip of the island. Thats really where I believe this is one of the best beaches on the continent.

Ok beach. Not the best. If you want to take your dog it’s a great place but it had too much seaweed on the beach where you want to sit and chill. Wish they would clean it more. The water was calm, warm, and awesome but I made the mistake and stayed till 6 while the locals packed and left by 4:30. I was wondering why. Well, when I got out of the water I learned why real quick.... I got eaten up alive by all the tiny mosquitos that come out early to feast... I look like I have chicken pox now with all the mosquito bites all over me..... uugggggg! Won’t be repeating that experience any time soon. If you decide to go with your dog to the beach this is not a horrible place but leave early! Lol.
