This is the most beautiful natural beach in Florida. There is also a great dog beach that is so much fun. The pet owners keep pets on a leash and are so friendly. Cant say enough good things about Honeymoon. You will need eight dollars for parking or a seasonal pass $120 for a family.

Pretty place, warm water with a sand bar that acts as a natural barrier. It can be very rocky so watch when walking you can twist an ankle. I recommend surf shoes if going in the water. It can get very crowded. It costs about 8.00 a car up to 7 or 8 people. They have a restaurant and are handicapped accessible. You can rent a puffy wheeled wheelchair to get your person across the sand and into the water the last time we went. We didnt use it this time because my daughter didnt want to get in the water. It is a large beach and less crowded when you take a trek either left or right when you get down to the bottom of the ramp. They have bathroom but of course they are very wet. Showers are available to rinse the sand off.

We absolutely loved it, amazing place, beautiful beach, clean, clear water, white and soft sand like baby powder. Not a lot of people which is positive for us, not crowded, a lot of parking space. Has showers, clean bathrooms, and a concessionary store. Only charge $8 per car , I guess with a maximum of 4 people for car. They take credit cards too. This beach has nothing to envy to other beaches. Definitely another favorite beach to come back.

This park is simply GREAT! The entrance is not free and they do offer annual pases. For all the things that it has to offer and how well taken care it is, Id say is well worth it! There are many beach fronts each with unique features (sandy, more waves, pet beatch) for everyone to enjoy. The bathrooms have always been pretty clean and safe. The hiking trails are excellent with a lot of wildlife to see (bring mosquito repellent). The place is so beautiful that is very popular for wedding events.

It is a state park that has an entrance fee. There are several amenities and places to eat. To include public restrooms and showers as well as ample parking. the only drawback to the park would be that the water has lots of rocks out in it and there are sandy spaces but you have to be selective where you go along the beach. other than for the all the rocks I enjoyed it.

Great location. This park is close to Dunedin and is a great place to spend time with family and friends. We take our bikes and enjoy riding the path. Theres 3 beaches and one is for people with dogs. Clean bathrooms and changing rooms. Indoor and outdoor showers and foot baths. Great information center as you enter the park. Buy a state park pass and visit this and many other parks across the state!

Honeymoon Island is an awesome place to ride your bike, bicycle, walk, take your pet, have lunch/picnic.There is a nature preserve center on the property that is manned 9-5 with knowledgeable folks to tell you the history, fun games for the children and an observation deck with binoculars and places to sit. Go watch the sunset from the beach with a more than 180° view of the gulf and plenty of picnic spots and bathrooms. There is also a new walking/bicycling path throughout. This is a great park right off of Alt. 19 in Dunedin. So convenient and a plethora of shopping and dining all around

What a beautiful beach. My family and I have always enjoyed ourselves here. If you have the opportunity, cut across the channel in a kayak or however and hit the islands. If you are going to the beaches at honeymoon park, try the Noth end there are less rocks on the beach but not as much area to set up at. Either way a great way to spend a Florida spring day.

First time at this beach. We went later in the day to avoid the BIG Memorial Day weekend crowds. There were still plenty of people. The North beach is where we landed. Had enough space for our chairs but we never used them. Spent 3 hours in the water and came out right before the picture perfect sunset. We did not utilize the store or restaurant located at the south beach, I believe.

The prettiest beach in Florida! White, powdery sand, around 5 miles of beautiful, pristine beach. Lots of fauna like dolphins, manatees, dozens of species of birds. It does have facilities, a picnic area, a nature center, and a cafe. State park so... Entrance is $8 per car up to 8 people, I think. One person pays $4 in a car or $2 if biking or walking. It also has a dog beach, and a ferry to Caladesi island. The ferry isnt free. Go early!

Little gem of a beach that was a local secret, now its overcrowded and needs cleaning up due to erosion. Large rocks in certain areas obstruct entrance to the beach area, the sandy area is becoming smaller and smaller, on weekends, people are just about shoulder to shoulder. They also need to do something about what these young girls are wearing, which is close to nothing, this beach is visted by families with young children, we dont need to see womens bare rear ends in our faces picking up shells, there are other beaches for that. The other problem being people with loud music. I have no problem with music, but keep it to a level for your ears only, not everyone wants to hear what youre playing, people go to relax and enjoy the outdoors, its not a concert arena. If I have to pay to get into a beach, I expect it to be better controlled over what takes place there.

On the south end of honeymoon island I forgot my tackle box. I’ve been collecting tackle in it for years and have been trying to get my boys into it. I went back 2 hours later when I remembered I lost it but someone had taken it. I was really surprised. Im really bummed out that it’s gone. If anyone can help me get it back it was green and had a mixture of fresh and saltwater lures and a bubbler. Email me plz [email protected]

1) When it comes to the Beach in South Florida (from Tampa on down) everyone knows that there are two sessions.1st session is the get up early to beat traffic and find that perfect parking spot either by the bathroom/showers or by were you are going to setup on the sand.2) take your time getting there (Beach) figure around 12:00 oclock noon, when most of the 1st session is sunburned and in desperate need of some Aloe gel plus their starving by now. So you can find a spot quick as they B-line it to lunch buffet at their favorite greasy spoon. But Beware! session 2 (2nd half of the day) is for the serious tanner, the beach pro. Because that sun aint playin around at these hrs.Honeymoon island is for the locals who hate the Clearwater tourist traps. So, now you have it. Do with it what you will. Its a Beach Blanket Bingo, only curtain people will getthe meaning. Enjoy.
