These are the cutest places to stay!! We stayed for 2 nights and wished we had more time! Our villa was the Loon-y Bin and it was so cozy with the fireplace and jacuzzi tub. I would 100% recommend staying here! Such a cool experience, and killer views from the deck!

These Villas are gorgeous and a wonderful way to spend a weekend away. I was there last weekend in Villa #1 because it was the only place that I could find with a whirlpool. After bopping across the state to get there... We unpacked the car and ordered dinner. I went to fill up the whirlpool to take a bath only to find out that the water was cold... Long story short, my boyfriend and I boiled water in pots for 2 hours so that I could take the bath that we had traveled hours for. The next morning, there was only enough hot water for one shower. I tried to call the office...but with Covid, no one was there. 1000% understandable. But, when I went to check out the next morning and told the person in the office what had happened ... I was met with a shrug and Huh. Thats weird.Thats it.I had been dismissed.

Perfect size cabin for a family of four. Most of the sites I looked at gave it a 2-star rating, not sure why. The place is sparkling clean, cute quirky lodge decor (snow shoes, lanterns, old wooden skis). The kitchen has everything you need including baking pans. The photos on their web site are accurate. It’s not “luxury” so don’t expect the Four Seasons, but it is “family” meaning it’s comfortable. Aside from a coffee stain on the carpet, this cabin is in great repair. The bed is fantastic — mattress, pillows, and comfy blanket cheers for a great night’s sleep!!! I would come back.

Ive been here twice and brought friends or family each time. The location isnt too far away from the action of Duluth and there are some activities year round on the mountain too. If you are looking for a trip to Duluth balanced with activity and outdoors, going this route is of great benefit to that cause.

Good luck finding a better place to stay in the Duluth area for the buck. Unit #10 sits right on the ski hill and over looks the Duluth bay. The unit has two BR and two baths, full kitchen, fire place, cable, WiFi-You get the picture. Hard part is this is the premium unit at the resort and it is booked often. Love going to this place!

We stayed in the Summit villa # 14 during a gorgeous display of fall colors. Easy Covid-19 late check-in. The villa was spotlessly clean, nicely decorated and well stocked with utensils for preparing meals. I could not find info on type of fireplace so I thought Id mention here that it is gas not woodburning just in case you have your heart set on one or the other. We preferred gas so that worked out. The Summit and 3 other villas on the west side of Skyline Drive are set back next to wooded area and do not have views of the lake in case that matters to you. Theres lots to explore within just a few miles as well as all around Duluth. Be aware that there are no dogs allowed in the Summit, Some villas allow dogs but you need to call first. Stiff penalty if you bring your dog where not allowed. Nearby Hugos has an extensive menu and they deliver to the villas. Their pizza was delivered within an hour during busy time of day, arrived hot and was delicious. We highly recommend the Summit villa #14.

Very nice arrangement with plenty of space. The check in and out times were a pretty tight range for a week-end stay however would be just fine for their usual week long stays. Taking your own garbage & recycle across to a dumpster area as well as being required to wash all dishes before checking out or be fined was odd. However the pleasantness of the office management as well as the private space that could accommodate multiple people well made up for that peculiarity. Furnishing were adequate. Perhaps a bit worn but it would be difficult not to show some wear with the use I am sure they recieve. The cleanliness was quite good. Overall a very nice place that I would recommend to anyone who wanted an adventure beyond a standard hotel.

We stayed in the Dream Catcher. It was a very nice experience. The cabin is fully furnished and stocked with plates, cups towels, cookware etc. There is a stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher and coffee pot. The master bedroom has its own bathroom with a jetted tub. The main bathroom has a shower. The 2nd bedroom has a bunk bed with a twin bed on top, full on bottom and a trundle pull out. There is also a twin bed. The living room has a sofa sleeper that pulls out for two more spaces to sleep. There is a lovely view of Lake Superior from the living room. You do have to climb several stairs to get in this cabin so if that is an issue dont get this one. Easy access to a main road to get out and explore too!

TLDR: Pretty good overall villas are nice but the wifi is not the best.So like I said the villas are pretty nice but slightly dated (villa #7 was the one we were in). The kitchen is small but its a kitchen and was just fine for feeding 4 of us (we only ate out once). The fridge is full size so theres plenty of room if your staying for a while like we did. Quick tip too if it seems like you have no dishes, check the dishwasher (it was kinda hard to look the first night until we found them). Our villa had 2 bedrooms (one room with 2 twin size beds the other with a large bed) and 2 bathrooms. Everything was pretty clean too but if you use jets in the tub, I would recommend running them and then draining the tub before using them to clean them out. Really the only bad thing is that the wifi was really slow and sometimes unusable. However nothing beats being able to literally walk out if the door and ski. However its a good idea to check what cabin your booking and how far away it is from the hill because some cabins were a minutes walk away which could be hard with alot of gear on. Overall 4/5 would recommend and go agian.

Pros-This property is in a beautiful location and we stayed in Villa 15... Robins Nest.. we had a private balcony facing the woods and didn’t see neighbors. All other villas you will see neighbors in both direction balcony and back door. The check in process was great and fast. The villa was beautiful decorated. The kitchen had everything we would need to cook. They provided dish soup and a sponge which was nice. Cons- Had to take out our own garbage to the dumpsters, separate all recyclables and the worst part is I am not sure but there was a ton & I mean a ton of dog hair all over the place. I am not sure if the cleaning people deep clean the villas after a pets stay but we were pretty disappointed that our villa had precious pet hair all over the place. It was on the sofas, beds and all over the carpet.

This place has horrible customer service. We were informed we couldnt check in until 4pm l, upon arrival there was no one in the main office at all and we waited for 5 hours for someone to get ahold of us so we could check in. We love this place for a plush mountain biking getaway to Duluth. The villas are private, clean, and very comfortable, if slightly dated. Easy access to the Spirit mountain trails as well as the Duluth Traverse trails that get you to all the other riding in the area. The cost is very reasonable when compared to other Duluth lodging. Two couples can comfortably share a villa.

Stayed at Ridgewood (Villa # 3) -- the views were awesome! One bedroom looked out to Lake Superior and the woods around, caught a sunrise from bed, did yoga out on the porch -- awesome place to relax your body and soul. There are two bathrooms, one of them has a huge tub with controls for aromatherapy etc, it tells you the temperature of the water as well which was very helpful. One thing to bear in mind is that if you intend to use the bathtub, then carry your own bath soap/salts etc -- the villa management doesnt provide those. Kitchen has all the utensils that you may want to use, however yo need to carry all kitchen ingredients yourself (including sugar and salt) which we thankfully did. There are hiking trails all around!! All in all, it was a fantastic stay and we will certainly come back again!

My husband loved this stay as it was wooded and so quiet with no children running up and down the hallways as we had our own little tree-house. I found it a little too quiet I suppose and wished we had stayed where I would have more of a city view or lake view. I found the towels and washcloths in need of bleach and/or fabric softener. I would only stay again if I had more friends and family with us in the other buildings.

These small treehouse style villas have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and cozy communal areas. Ours had a three season porch and two decks as well. They are basically built on poles to minimize disruption of the forest. Proximity to Spirit Mountain ski area is excellent, and ski rental and lift tickets are discounted for people staying here. The stove and refrigerator are on the small side, but perfect for vacationers. Ours had a great view of Duluth and the water, although in the summer tree leaves could obstruct this.

We stayed in Villa 10 this year. We did have a great time and the views were amazing; however, there were some issues. First, the pictures of the Villa on the website did not match what we got. The picture showed two single beds in one of the bedrooms but when we got there we found bunk beds instead. I got this particular Villa because we had some of our adult children with us so bunk beds were not what we wanted. Updated pictures are not required so be forewarned that you may not get what you thought you were getting. Also, I learned that the fireplaces in some of the Villas are decorative only. The only reason I know this is because our fireplace didnt work and when we were checking out we had said something about it not working and it just so happened that someone else in the office complaining about their fireplace not working. Im ok with having decorative things but Im upset that the website portrays working fireplaces. With all that being said, I would like to go back next year but my husband is frustrated since we have gone 2 years in a row and both time we had non- working things...last year our jacuzzi tub didnt work.

We stayed at the villas in March 2018. We loved having the space for our family and being near Spirit Mountain for skiing. But our villa smelled musty when we arrived. The bath tub had mold around it and in the jets. After using the tub, the mold smell got worse and bothered my allergies. We had to check out a night early due to my allergies from it. Management never responded after we informed them of checking out early and reporting the mold. Wish they would keep up the units better as it is a fun place to stay.

Loved our cabin. Mama Bears Den. Only downside is all the different type of steps to go from our vehicle to the actual landing / level of our cabin. I have a bone issues (Avascular Necrosis) which means my bones are dying from the inside to the outside of my bones in both legs from my toes to my upper femurs/possibly hips too. So the stairs were killers on my legs.I dont know if they have a more handicapped accessible cabin or not.

We stayed here before and absolutely loved it. We have since learned that because the cabins are privately owned it makes a huge difference which one you rent! The one we stayed at most recently was not nice. Dining chairs were broken and unstable, sheets were clean, but stained and just gross looking, there was something disgusting splattered all over one of the windows from the outside like someone threw something at it and it wasnt cleaned off. It was a pretty serious let down after staying in a couple of very nice places previously.

This is where me and the family always stay when in Duluth. It is not for hotel folk. We prefer to make our own food, and the coffee is the best on earth-they pipe natural spring water into the cabins. No heavy chlorine taste-the views ay night are amazing. I always wonder why anyone would want to stay in a Canal Park property. Sure you are within walking distance of the action-but in summer it gets loud and rowdy down there. The bathrooms are rustic, but very clean. We saw all kinds of wildlife up on the mountain-just love it. Be aware you will need to climb stairs and carry luggage and gear up many stairs-it can be a workout, even for us in good shape. Well worth it and we will be back!
