Do to Covid19, there r no refills on drinks, and popcorn. Sitting is arranged to every other row,..but in those rows that sitting is allowed, it is not limited to every other seat. .

We love this movie theater. People need to get out and go see a movie. Wear a mask and quit being paranoid

What a great theater! Low matinee price, clean, comfortable atmosphere and lots of amenities like self-serve drinks and popcorn stations. Comfy, rocking seats.

I thought everybody was very friendly. I thought my first impression when I walked in was it was extremely clean not like other theaters that Ive been to in the past. I thought that it was big and it was open. I thought it was a little bit pricey at first, but I thought it was a really good value. Once they explained everything to me and how it all worked. And I thought the movie quality was great. Good place to go with family and friends.

Good time in an excellent theater.It has been too long since we went to a theater. We had some time and decided to enjoy a movie in a theater. We werent disappointed. AMC has some packages and cards that will save some money. We plan to come back for more fun.

Pretty standard AMC. Theater was clean and updated. Parking was easy and concessions were stocked well.

Ticket prices are below average, snack prices are above average. Place is huge. Overall a good movie theater.

Ticket prices are good, popcorn prices high, as expected. Seats are old-fashioned stadium seats, so Phoenix is better in terms of comfort.

Saw the early release of How To Train Your Dragon 3 with my family, had a good time! Theater wasnt totally clean, thats really the only criticism I have! Employees were all friendly and hospitable. My family and I all enjoy coming here! Will be back for sure.

Being a A list member I just love coming to the movies. I pay a flat rate and watch 3 movies a week with other perks.

Was not a good visit this time. We tried to use our movie tickets we got as a gift and they said they no longer can use those but the lady was nice and honored it and gave us new ones so we were still able to go see the movie we wanted and then we went to use our free drink tickets and they said no that they cant use those certificates for a free small soft drink so we still ended up having to pay 6 bucks for drinks and they just gave us a little discount. So just saying sucks to get something as a gift that has NO Expiration date at all on it and then be told sorry we no longer can use them.

I love amc. Ive been here multiple times and I enjoyed every experience. The movies and good but cheap which is awesome.

Great theater, popcorn could use some help...

Parking lot and theater seats showing definite signs of aging. Reasonable prices (concessions are still spendy). Lots of screens makes for some better/more options for showtimes.

Good time seeing the movie. Would have spent more money on the large popcorn package if we couldve subbed the M&Ms for another candy. My son wanted fruit snacks. The girl said we could do the package and get the fruit snacks. No thanks, then Im spending almost $30.Good thing we enjoyed the movie and the arcade!

I had good experience with AMC theater. Always so polite and respectful. And they work very hard to get there job done. No attitudes no disrespecting. Always catching up on their jobs.

Movie price during the day is very reasonable.

My wife and I tried going and were both 18+ and Ive served in the military. Got IDed to see IT 2 and my wife forgot her ID (because who gets IDed to see a movie?) and they wouldnt let us see it. Big part of why AMC is getting crushed by Phoenix, overpriced concessions and they ID to see a movie. Ridiculous. Also its always the fat guy that will ID, sad that I can serve in the Army at 17 but this fat guy wont let me see a movie if I forget my ID or my wife forgets hers.

Nice place, cozy seats, and lots of room. Love that they have a little bar for people that want an alcoholic drink!

It is a movie theater, nothing too special about it. The prices for food and snacks are outrageous, and you cant bring in your own food. Ticket prices are alright though. I do like that it is not overly crowded, making the watching experience much more enjoyable.

The theater experience completely. Right down to the 20 ounce, $4 bottles of water. I paid $15 for a regular bag of popcorn and a large slushy.

It is fine. It is clean. The staff is nice. Fairly decently priced for a matinee.

Fantastic theatre. Very large room with big (non-IMAX) screen and pretty comfy seats. Leg room is a little on the short end, but otherwise for $7, this place blows my local theatre clean out of the water.

The theater was ok compared to other AMCs that Ive been to. Also, $24 for two drinks and a popcorn is excessive. Overall, meh, its the only theater here, so if you want to see a movie its your only option.

Getting a hold of the correct show time is like pulling teeth. Google doesnt have the correct show times, so I called 5 times at different times, and all I received was a busy signal. I had to simply show up and I had to wait an hour to see the show because of these circumstances. The popcorn is unsalted and the only seasonings they have are salt and butter. The pretzel bites are pretty tasteless, too. Like all theaters, they charge more than double the price for these items. I wish Movie Tavern would set up a location here and run these folks out of business. Theyd sure show them how you run a movie theater.

Great movie and staff is very nice

The only viable movie option in Dubuque but it is a great location regardless. Great value, love the Stubs card and the options that it holds. I still cant get over movie theaters having bars in them but it is an interesting option. I love the Coke machines and its many options, it does streamline the process! It would be interesting to see them to at some time expand but it is a real gem in an incredibly small market.

Today me and my boyfriend wanted to go see IT on our one year anniversary. we had got declined the first time by this guy who was not very respectful. keep in mind i had my ID on me and the guy said you are still not old enough to take your guest to the movie. because my boyfriend had forgotten his ID. so we walked out and came back in deciding to watch fast and furious instead. my boyfriend decided to leave that theater and go into IT. i did not follow but about 30 minutes after i get a call from him saying that one of the workers allowed us to go in. after talking to the worker we walked into the theater. i made my boyfriend buy us $21 worth of snacks (which is completely overpriced to begin with for a medium popcorn a slushee and some milkduds) while my boyfriend was down there the same guy that we tried getting into the IT theater before came and kicked me out. he was not respectful about it at all and could have handled the situation better. so after getting told we could go in that theater and spending over 35$ at that place (snacks and tickets) we get kicked out for not having our IDs. and i’ll say it again, we got kicked out in a very disrespectful manner

What makes AMC the better theater in Dubuque to me is the experience. You are with people who actually care about the movie in AMC. Seats are comfortable and the price is right.

Was very clean and staff was very helpful. They need to upgrade their projectors though. Avengers End Game looked like a weird mix of HD covered by SD. Would have been nice to see in full HD.

Not bad on actual movie part with their huge screens and great sound, but popcorn and pop and candy is way too expensive! I like Phoenix Theatres better if you want a more comfortable experience and cheaper concessions with great flavor. Phoenix also has great 7.1 surround sound and 4k visuals. AMC has a more traditional cooperation movie theatre experience to it. Overall I would recommend Phoenix, but AMC isnt a terrible place.

Dont listen to the website, they lock the doors early and turn away paying customers, wont be back to this franchise. Showing was at 8, got here at 815 and was turned away.

Originally was a 4 star review from 4 years ago it has become a 1 star after this visit. The VIP line has been removed and while waiting to get our prepaid tickets a second employee was just sitting there playing on her phone instead of helping the line of customers. The facility has not been taken care of today as the restrooms and cinema were not cleaned at all. Last issue is the arcade games ate tokens. The manager was in the lobby yet didnt address any of it. Cancelling my Stubs Premier!

Awful policy, refused to let us in because all of us did not have our ID’s even though we are clearly over the age. Staff was very rude.

I used to love this AMC. I went there tonight and it was so gross. Everything was dirty and sticky. My wife said the floor in front of the drinking station was sticky and the counters were covered in fluid so she couldnt sit her cup down. I turned on my flashlight after the movie to do a check for personal belongings and there were wrappers and candy boxes shoved in between the seats. I really hope someone can get this placed cleaned up.

Went to see Annabelle today. Popcorn was stale. Movie started half hour after posted time. Lights were left on. Who wants to watch a scary movie with lights on. Very disappointed.

We enjoy the excellence of visual experience but the audio from previews through feature is about 10-20 db louder than necessary. And the auditoriums are always too cold for comfort. On a cold winter night if we hadnt already been dressed in layers we would have shuddered through the entire show. Common sense should prevail. It doesnt at Dubuque AMC.

Nice, clean, enjoyable place. Employees are always friendly. Would give more stars but showtime are awful. Hardly ever see any movie times before 1, especially on week days. Would be nice to have options before or around noon for young children or even for parents wanting to see a movie while kids are in school.

If you want a quality experience go to phoenix theaters, but if you want to see a movie on the day of release with the best picture quality AMC is the right choice

Very nice theater. Staff is friendly, on occasions when the theater isnt crowded its an absolute treat. They even have a bar and you can bring drinks into the movie with you! Its also pretty easy to carry food into, the staff dont look too closely and its easy to get away with.

Just love 3D movies and this theater has more than anyone else and it comfortable as u watch and amazing sound. They have Great people who work there!!

Last few times I have gone to a movie had to find an employee to have the lights turned down after the show started. Prices are expensive on the snacks.

Alright, but Phoenix is better in all ways but price

One of the more expensive movie theaters Ive ever been to, just a few cents shy of 20 bucks for a small bottle of water, a medium popcorn, and large soda. I know movie theaters make lots of money on these items but 20 bucks for what I got is a bit over the top. Also, this theater does not have the upgraded seats like the other one in town, they arent very comfortable. They got a 2nd star because movie price wasnt terrible for a Sunday night, right around 8 bucks.

An excellent location to have some family fun entertainment. The tickets were reasonably priced when compared to theatres where I live. Moreover, they had clean bathrooms and even a bar for people who needs a drink before watching their favorite movie. AP Score: Visit

Was a great theater

Very good theatre system and good food. The prices are a little bit high but you can get refills on some of the food and drinks. They have muli rooms for watching different movies at different times. Also they get the new movies on the day they come out so if you want to see them day one...go there.

Great theater that I have visited on multiple occasions. Comfortable seats, good sound, comfortable place all in all. I personally have not sampled any of their concessions or drinks from their new bar.

Great theater and prices. Much cheaper than Cedar Rapids. It no longer matters since I have movie pass. Everyone should check out movie pass.

Always love going to the movies. The big ol’ popcorn bucket is worth it! The only downside is that towards the end of the night the popcorn isn’t as fresh.

If you like chain theaters, this one meets all the needs. Stadium seating, Freestyle soda machines, interesting decor since it began as a Star Cinema before AMC bought it. Matinee prices are cheap. Some shows in 3D. Devices for blind and hard of hearing are available.

Hope you dont expect to get popcorn after 11pm. Went up at literally 11:02. Watched the person throw the popcorn in the garbage while telling me I couldnt get anymore since it was after 11.. so I guess they would rather throw away food than give it to someone that paid 10$ for a large popcorn with supposedly free refills.

Always a pleasant experience

People keep saying overpriced. I understand theater prices are high but here is my story. My wife and I get off work and want to catch a movie. The schedule is tight so we order the chicken fingers combo each. There is a big sign for chicken fingers, $11 bucks (or something). Our total bill for two sets of fried chicken fingers, some curly fries and fountain drinks, with a popcorn? Almost 60 bucks. The $11 price is the chicken alone. Thats overpriced. I could order steak at an expensive restaurant at those prices. Will I still see movies there? Yes. Will I order anything? Never again.

Lots of movies playing, not much more expensive than cheaper places in town, mostly clean, lots of space. Gives the whole movie experience for a reasonable price.

Prices are higher compared to local movie theaters. The only saving gracr is more screens.
