We went for the first state drift event that is held once a month. It was really cool. Lots of cars drifting around tracks that are set up in the rear parking lot by the monster mile guy. Bring a helmet and you can probably get to ride with one of the drivers. My son got to ride with a few drivers in different cars. We had a blast.

Very clean, very nice people and good environment. Change of times when they are open now because of covid-19 but you can still go play and have fun 10am to 4am Monday through Fridays and 24hrs Fri, Sat and Sunday.

It is trucker friendly although they discourage overnight parking unless you stay at the hotel. Access doors to the casino from the outside are on the opposite side of the building and the hotel is a hike past that as you cant enter through the lobby you have to go past that entrance and down to the closed off part of the lobby for access. Dont be discouraged when you see the lights are out. The designated door is marked and it is open. FOOD, I ate at the Garden Cafe and the food was excellent and the service top-notch and very friendly. Had dinner at Lonngos and my salmon was cooked perfectly and everything was great. Our waiter thought it was taking too long for our food to arrive so he brought us a meatball appetizer on the house and it was the best one Ive ever eaten. Total yum!

Additional events include live entertainment, family-friendly games and activities, and lots of great food and adult beverages.Campsites and hotel rooms go quickly during big events, so plan ahead if that’s when you’ll be visiting.

Great little market, clean, covid responsible, great coffee bar and ready maid sandwiches breakfast , lunch and dinner.

The rooms are very nice and they are taking steps to keep everything disinfected. All the staff is friendly and professional. Concerning gambling, the slots are extremely tight and table, roulette, and caps minimums high. I am a 3 time loser. Blackjack rules are great and if slots would pay off better, Dover would be way ahead of their competition because the hotel is a bonus. They are taking measures to address Covid....masks, social distancing, plexiglass particians. Ongoing cleaning and all staff are working hard. You better plan on getting a drink at the bar because there are not enough staff to take your order in a timely manner. Not many eating choices, but Longos is a good option. Good local eats. Have reduced number of visits last few months, but will probably go again first part of 2021.

I went for the 2019 fall race. Very good and it had diecasts that you could buy on the way out. Go here for a nice race. But I am sad there will only be 1 race here in 2021 because of Nashville being added back. I think that track will be a bad replacement. :(

The hotel has finally reopened after the pandemic closure and it is an excellent start. There are touchless machines that takes the temperature of everyone who enters and keeps a count of everyone entering and leaving to maize social distances. Circles are placed on the floors for appropriate distance even in elevators. Everyone has on a mask and staff are very proactive in ensuring that every mouth and nose remain covered for the duration of the stay. The only places to eat are Meatballs and ..., the Garden Cafe which has a very limited menu and Sweet Perks located near the rear of the casino. On a bank of 4 machines 2 will be turned off and table games require you to wear a mask and a face shield. The stag is working around the clock to wipe down EVERYTHING and note items that have been sanitized. Clear shields are up around cashier cages and the capital club but youre still able to feel the comfort of being serviced well. You can only stay 2 nights at a time and housekeeping only services the room at the end of your stay. Excellent trip and the machines are hot ! Come and enjoy your stay.

With covid going on, this is the only casino i trust. They are actively cleaning and announcing the rules that you must wear a mask. Failure to comply will result in being asked to leave. Enjoy my stay !!

Although fans were not allowed in the venue for the race, the security staff was great. I had asked if I could go in to take pictures of the Dover Monster holding the car and they said I could. Overall, the place looks great from what I could see and the staff were friendly.

Our room is overlooking the racetrack and its 3 cars out there now running hard. I guess they are test and tuning! My dad use to race back in the day, so its definitely bringing back old memories!

We have been going to Dover downs for years, we were very impressed with the response to covid19 and the steps taken, I dont feel they hit the mark with the elevators though allowing 4 people at a time the space is just to small. Although the payouts were much better this time, I felt like it seems when there is a large number of people the machines just dont hit unless you are a extremely high bet. Of the 3 days we were there we only saw a floor waitress 3 times, even when I brought it up to 2 managers, and they tried to stop 2 different employees we were told it wasnt their section, we went approximately 3 hrs before we got drinks. It is not easy to have to leave your favorite machine and go stand in line to get drinks, and be able to play that machine again when you get back, and I was told they can no longer reserve your machine now. But overall it is always an enjoyable stay and we will be back soon.

Had a great time at the races. Parking was easy and the venue was wonderful. Nice facility well kept. Super fun. Bring some ear plugs your gonna need them. Definitely a good time.

This speedway is pretty fantastic and will make for an awesome day of NASCAR. The parking is expansive and yes, you may need to walk a distance, but it’s worth it. For an event, there usually are food trucks and activities for customers. The stadium seating is like any other, so if you suffer from back pain, I would bring a cushion. The bathrooms are well maintained.

The customer service at Dover Downs Hotel is explicit. The casino is so so. The machines are tight and the beverage waitresses are invisible.

We got there early so my boys can play and get some pics , the race was very good, very entertaining but the only thing was the food , only a few concessions to eat and my boys want to eat a lot and was where is all the food stands, but anyway we had tons of fun and next time take my own snacks and drinks , people were very nice and friendly and was a lovely day .

Great price, clean, good value, easy parking +next to Dover Downs racetrack. And, Delaware has no sales tax, thus a State to save at least 6% on items in stores.

Surreal to watch all the cars zooming past at speeds of 200kmph. But make sure u always carry ear plugs. It gets very noisy and after few laps irritating. There are plenty of food options available but quite pricey. Since there is no limitations on food to be carried in would recommend getting your own food and drinks.

Its also a casino. Plus through this pandemic. Bayhealth medical has a drive-through testing site for the Coronavirus. I think that is exceptional for our state and community.

Amazing fan experience, highly recommend. With the pit passes are a must. Awesome time walking through the pits and the garages. You never know who youll get to see.

Nice clean rooms. They were very thorough during the covid times. Machines here dont seem to pay out . Ive been here several times and never actually won anything.

Loved it that they had a machine that looked like a camera to take our temperature and everyone had on masks and face guards they making sure everyone stays safe and the games are spaced apart plus the kept disinfecting the machines when people got done.

Amazing race! It was my 1st time and watching the Xfinity 200 series was good! Concessions arent too expensive, lots of port-a-potties (pls excuse spelling) and sitting plentiful. Word of advice... bring sunglasses, cap and earplugs otherwise ENJOY!!Update: Also, stayed an additional day to see Gander RV 400 race but unfortunately it was postponed due to the weather. But still had a great time!

My first trip to Dover Speedway. It was fun. Just like most stadium events, the experience lies heavily on the event, not the building. We sat in 100 section row 40. I thought the bleacher seats were comfortable enough for the 200 lap event we were at. I was advised to bring a seat cushion, but I didnt need it. Maybe a 400 lap event I would have used it. Restrooms were typical for this type of venue. For this NASCAR event, there was a lot of activities and souvenirs available before the race. Lots for the kids as well. We brought food in, so did not buy any.

Went for a private tour on a rainy Monday morning. Wasnt expecting much but boy I was wrong! We had a blast. Our tour guide told us in great detail the story of the speedway, he showed us the different areas and even took us for a lap on the track in his own car, we also walked part of the track and saw the high angle that thing has. We also went to the media room and saw how everything there works on race day. If you love Nascar or car racing in general this is a must.

The only NASCAR track Ive ever visited, and its well set up. Traffic flow in and out is not bad, and there are lots of activities in and around the Speedway (including the casino). If youre staying over, book rooms WELL in advance of any major race; we were two months before the race and had to book 45 minutes away.

Its an awesome place to go and watch the car race. Good food to eat and drinks galore. Do visit you wont be disappointed.

The Monster Mile. One of my top three favorite Nascar tracks (along with Bristol and Martinsville). Easy to get to, awesome sight lines and a modern facility, this track is my go to, since its about a hour drive from NYC.

Had an amazing time with my family. We were able to see a Nascar race, thanks to Xfinity. The virtual cars were a blast to play. You get the feel of the race from the drivers perspective. There was so much to do before the race. We had excellent seats where we were able to see all the turns of the track. I took some amazing pictures. The track was very clean with very friendly and helpful staff. A must for family outings.

Drinks and food 2 expensive. Mainly the band club. Lower the drink prices. The patrons will get out of there gambling chair and watch the entertainment. Food is awesome but the casino ask the restaurants the pay to much in rental fees. My understanding is greed. Spend more as a patron and pay more as a food service along with any business who wants business in there casino. Just because you provide a service in a casino. Dont give the casinos the right to charge more outrageous rental space to the food beverage and other businesses providers. You attract more businesses if you keep prices fair. But casinos are all about gr÷ed. The division sign is to prove is it worth it.

Known as the Monster Mile we were treated to a terrific race with plenty of action, passing, fast pit stops and multiple lead changes. Ultimately, Jimmy Johnson wont the race on a bright sunny beautiful day. It was a day full of excitement outside the track, from being greeted by the Monster Statue, NASCAR Experience, fly over by the Dover Air Reserve jets, parachuting on to the racetrack, on track entertainment by X-bikers and finishing with a great show on the track itself. Went home well satisfied from a great day of fun and race at Dover International Speedway.

Some of the best racing in the world!! NASCAR series visits here twice year and should be a must see race if your a fan!! One mile banked track on a concrete surface. Tight racing that at times can be three wide! There is not a bad seat in the house!! You will be amazed! NRHA Drag racing is also hosted in Bristol alongside a mountain on the facility!! Bring your camper and park it right around the facility. There is a casino and hotel that overlooks the speedway. Excellent casino with beautiful hotel and first class restaurants! Lots of amenities right around the track. Dover International Speedway is a first class race facility and so amazing to see in person!!!

Always a great time. Parking during race time is the cheapest option and lots to offer. Shopping, gambling, lodging, restaurants, walking distance of other attractions and malls.

My sister and I flew to Dover from Illinois for the Xfinity and Cup races. The speedway is awesome! We got some cool pictures of Miles the Monster, and all the people we interacted with (in a professional capacity) were great. Of course, NASCAR events draw all kinds, and some of the drivers fans were over the top, it was still a very cool experience.

We are retired Military, from Indianapolis, INVisiting with long time Military friends of 55 years for New Years. Been doing this for as long as I can remember, but long story short. We stayed at the Dover motel and it was a devine stay, was not noisy, nice spacious room, comfortable bed everything was excellent...

Raceway is very interesting to be at considering Im not a big racing fan. Its a venue with lots of events going for it other than the races and seeing it at night was pretty unique.

Easy access for parking without long waits, small coolers allowed in grandstand, not too expensive for food, nice track.

Not every pull of the lever leads to a win. I enjoyed this play place . Very well lit. It didnt feel like they tried to cram as many machines and people as they could in there. AND I took my money back home with me! WINNING!!

Amazing experience for old and young NASCAR fans alike.

Update: we once loved this place no longer. Dover was bought by a corporation out of Connecticut and the quality has gone way down since. Of course with the change of management you expect change this place is horrible. We use to come to Dover downs at least 3 times a month staying all weekend for the at 10 plus years and the casino would be packed with people willing, laughing and just enjoying themselves. Since this new owner has settled in the place is like a ghost town, the same slot machines that we use to play now takes well over a $1000 before it pays out and then it may only pay out $45. ( no one expects to win every time) you also dont expect to lose everytime you play. Elite weekend is no more, new management has made Elite weekend a one day event and free pay is no given for a gaming day it between certain hours like 9am - 1am not 6am to 5:59am as before. Management no longer offers weekend room comps, food comps, and the restaurants have changed often the times and days that they are open, to the new restaurant with not so good food. Even the poor staff seems unhappy. This place use to be alive and fun worth the 3 hour drive it take for us to get there. I can go to MGM, Live, Horseshoe, Charlestown or any of the casinos in my area and spend my $5000 daily and have better luck. It sad because we really liked the old Dover this new place is losing us loyal customers who have been patrons for 10 plus years. No customer loyalty very sad.
