Wonderful museum with lots of unique exhibits! A true hidden gem... Free to the public with friendly staff.
One of Douglasvilles underrated gems. Ive driven by several times and thought what exactly could they have in there? Well Its bigger than it looks and more to see then you the think. It really is a local history museum with artifacts donated from prominent local families. The Black History Education collection was small, but very telling about the education system as it relates to POC in Douglasville. I really hope more families come forward and donate more than just educational heirlooms to tell more about the history on people of color in Douglasville. There also is a very small (extremely small) Native American Indian section. So hopefully more families will also donate more to improve that exhibit. The pop cultural collections are a must see!! I love that you had a tour guide. She was lovely and we felt like we were getting a behind the scenes personal tour. If you are a homeschool group or looking for something free to do with the kiddos this is a great little outing.
