Have been sitting at a able (just like the sign requests for you to grab a menu and find a seat) for 10 minutes and no server has come to take my drink order. Got up and left and I dont think anyone even noticed.

I would LOVE to give them a 5 star rating because the food is delicious! BUT the quality of service has gone down drastically. I will refer a place and even go back to a place if the food was bad but the customer service was amazing. Why? Because I can always try another menu item next time that maybe to my liking. But my last two visits to Blue Rose have been the total opposite. The last time I went at 6:30pm ordered by 6:45pm and did not receive my food until 8:10pm! Sooo I tried it again, couldve just been a bad night, right? Wrong! I went again and at 2pm ordered my food by 2:20( once the waitress returned with our water) did not receive our meal until 3:15pm.The waitress Tamara is always apologetic and helpful, but they have that poor girl running!! She was taking care of 5plus tables, And even though they had a bartender...the waitress was still making her own drinks while the bartender was chatting it up and drinking whatever was in her cup with customers whom had been there before we arrived! She never came to hel ppl the waitress refill drinks for any of the tables, nor did she assist with bussing them! I mean its a small establishment so everyone should help out! It took forever to get our food and we had to refill our own drinks via the water mug left on our table. Blue Rose...please do better! I enjoy patronizing small black businesses.

Absolutely HORRIBLE PLACE!! I had my wedding reception there because I loved the atmosphere. They booked over my reception my guest had to wait in their cars with no cocktail or horderves for an hour. My event was late everyone had to set up at the last minute and they still expected us to be done by the set time because they had an event after us. They catered our reception and switched our menus and didn’t tell anyone! We paid for 80 guest, 65 came and we ran out of food! Not everyone ate! We were suppose to have people serving the food, we didn’t have any servers, food was suppose to be in the paint room it was in the hallway next to the bathroom. When we did toasts they didn’t distribute the wine. It was an ABSOLUTE mess! If I could give them Zero stars I would!

EASILY the best breakfast in Douglas County,?and possibly top 5 in Georgia. I enjoyed the Bananas Foster Rum French Toast, and the Folded Egg w/ Shrimp Avocado, cheese, Peppers, Mushrooms, and Onion was absolutely UNREAL! The plating/presentation was world-class, and the service and atmosphere were just as wonderful. Great artwork to enjoy while I waited. Definitely bringing my wife and kids here ASAP.

Absolutely delicious! I am so glad that I FINALLY made my way into this restaurant. I live in Douglasville and have often driven by and have always told myself that I would one day make a visit. I work in Sandy Springs. I think that often timers when you live and work in and outside of a major city, you get into the mindset that everything good is in the city. I think that we often forget there are things to do in our own backyard. Blu Rose Bistro is a gem of a place. The eclectic, artsy vibe rivals that of any restaurant of this style in Marietta square, Decatur, Atlanta,etc. I had the fried chicken and kale salad. It was absolutely wonderful. The mixture of red peppers, lightly sweetened walnuts, homemade croutons, red cabbage and homemade buttermilk chicken was amazing! Everything was fresh and the chicken was definitely not frozen fried strips. This chicken had none of those gluey fatty vein things that are in regular strips. This salad was definitely top quality and worth every dollar! I paired it with their refreshingly delicious blueberry lemonade with just enough sweetness that didn’t make my cheeks pucker. I came during lunchtime on a week day. Unfortunately, there was not nearly enough traffic as there should have been. Hopefully, with the revitalization plan beginning this will change. I will definitely be returning. Save your gas people! Go out and take a look at what is in your own town and see what is out there. Blu Rose Art Bistro is a good place to start.

Not a perfect first visit, but a good experience.My daughter and I arrived at about 2:30pm, and after looking over the menu, we decided upon some breakfast fare. We ordered and quite a bit later (10 min) the server informed us that 2pm was the cutoff for the breakfast menu. Being fixated on crepes, I was ready to pay for my coffee and hit one of the 3 nearby restaurants that serve pancakes all day. As I scanned the menu for the 100th time, the server came back and said that the kitchen would accommodate our order after all.I had the crepes and my daughter went for the grits bowl. When the coffee arrived it was heavy on the coffee grounds but good.Once the food arrived and the coffee was changed out for less grounds, things were closer to perfect. The crepes were pretty thick, but they were also pretty delicious. The honey and blueberries were just the right amount and nothing was left on my plate.My daughter felt that her grits were perfect, and the eggs and sausage were tasty and well done. She was stuffed, but took the rest in a box. The chef actually came out of the kitchen to check on us.Id definitely return.Any issues we had I believe were related to the party of 40 there just before us. The server also seemed inexperienced but very nice. She seemed clueless about waitressing, but was quick to respond to any request and very pleasant to chat with.Im looking forward to a 5 star visit next time!

We hosted an event here and the team made sure my clients were taken care of, well fed, and we had a great time. Otherwise, I enjoy stopping by with my wife for a bite and drink, as we enjoy the atmosphere.

This is one brunch spot I will be returning to again. The atmosphere is chilled, the staff is fun and attentive and the chef puts lots of care into his dishes. Make sure you get the sweet potato hash, your belly will thank you.

This is a much needed and great addition to Douglasville. Michelle and staff provided excellent customer service. The food was outstanding as well. I enjoyed every dish I tasted from jerk chicken wings, shrimp and grits, Johnny cakes to french toast! There is also plenty of space for the painting and sewing events.

Extremely disappointed. Made a reservation to celebrate my birthday for Nov. 2nd two weeks in advance. Michelle called me to confirm and when my cousin and i arrived there was a Closed sign on the door. We sat outside for an hour, called the number several times, no answer. Received a text from someone almost two hours later telling me they had an outdoor event.What type of business is this?

Worst service I’ve ever had. Came in with a group of 9 and ordered right away. They were out of the soup at 12 pm. It took a hour and a half for some of the food to come out and 3 of us didn’t even receive our orders. Wouldn’t even allow my worst enemy to dine there.

Ordered breakfast at 10am and was not delivered until 2pm after several phone calls. The driver came to the location and did not even bother to get out of her car due to a failed phone call. She just pulled off.. THE WORST DELIVERY SERVICE IVE EVER EXPERIENCED.. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE.. THEY ARE VERY BOOTLEG!!!

Blue Rose Art Bistro is a cute little café style restaurant. I attended a Saturday brunch. It was a buffet-style meal with fresh fruits, pastries, grits, pancakes, and vegetarian omelet options. If you want meat or something to drink, its available for an additional charge. They had live music and a gospel jazz artist there. Its a cute little spot.

Well, this was interesting and refreshing! This newly opened bistro is phenomenal. I love its location, and I love the interior. You can view art, talk art, buy art, and even make art. Even if you didnt do any of those things, anyone would be able to enjoy this place. The modern design mixed with the 1800s building is absolutely gorgeous. The blue accented bar is aesthetically pleasing and is an art itself. Food and wine were delicious! Owner and staff were so friendly, I forgot I was only a few minutes away from the big city. They have a First Friday every month, live music, trivia nights, art talks, sip and paint class, etc.Blu Rose Art Bistro describes itself as classy, retro, and hip. I was skeptical at that description at first, but I came here to tell you that Blu Rose Art Bistro is all three of those things. When you get there, raise your blue wine glass and toast to the owner, chef, and staff.

This weekend was my 2nd time here and both were great experiences. It was very laid back, the music wasnt to loud for communication and the brunch was tasty. It is a great spot if youre trying to impress an eclectic date, looking for a chill place to grab a bite before a night out, or just looking for a place with nice ambience to have a quick drink.

Came here on a Friday. They had live music which was awesome. I did not eat there but my husband did. The service was very slow on a Friday but he said his wings were great.

This little gem in Douglasville is the absolute best! They opened around October 2017 and I have gone to quite a few of their events. They have art classes, a wonderful brunch menu, and now they have jazz/blues on certain days! A good place for a relaxation with a glass of wine and a good book! Go buy and support them because they definitely deserve it!

The cafe itself is wonderful, but the waitress that night was awful. She kept hiding in the closet ignoring customers bc the music was a lil loud. She took forever to bring us our coffee, water, and menus. Then when we finally decided to get our check she disappeared to confirm the price of the coffee, but she returned only to checked out other guests before us. She completely ruined my first experience there. I hope next time will be better

The people are fabulous, friendly and helpful! And the food was equally impressive. The chef has managed to make carrot salad exciting, and the best chicken salad Ive had in years. They have maintained classic elements, incorporated into a very modern decor.

Our first and last visit was yesterday. There was no greeter, we stood by the door for 3-4 minutes and noticed a community sign in form, once completed the buffet chef yelled welcome. We walk over to him were he showed use the limited food selection and invited us to take a set anywhere. While searching we noticed every table was dirty. We found one table semi-clean by the jazz artist whom was either sleepy or not feeling well. Within fifteen minutes waitress arrived asked what will we be having, we asked what do you have for we didnt have any menus. Five minutes later she arrived we a double-sided menu with no pricing, one side food selection and the other beverages. We decided to try the buffet.Turned out to be a mistake $53.50 was the total bill for 2 people, two small portion plates and water. Outrageous! I attempted to discuss my bill with waitress whom disregarded my concern yet walked away with my card stating its always been that price. SMDH! After she returned my card the buffet chef asked if we would like a tour. I asked if he was the owner, he said no but inform us that the owner recently step out. Im giving you one 1 star because of your chef was the only staff courteous. Advice - all staff should be alert, friendly and professional, hire a greeter, pricing should be on menu no surprise bill, housekeeping is a must.

Our group had a great time. The artist in charge, Ms. Lisa, was an excellent instructor. The food was great. Im vegan and didnt try the Pig & Fig but those that did were raving about it.

Not impressed at all. For one the owner had to leave to buy wings from the store. The food and drinks are overpriced. The wings were soft And the banana pudding is fraud!

Nice look. Nice atmosphere. Nice staff. HORRIBLE WINGS!! I had lemon pepper. I ordered two, ten count qty. Horrible! I gave one order to a gentleman who walked in and requested a menu at the bar. He ate about two and agreed thet were horrible. First time I ever had badly flavored wings of any kind. They didnt even taste like lemon anything! They had a vinegar taste with pepper. The guy who came in ordered something else... cheese, jalapeños, and tortilla chips. He said that was horrible too. Please check your recipes and the cook. I cant return to spend money for food. Otherwise, its a very nice place.

My wife and I stumbled upon this place coming out of a cold rain. We had only coffee, but really enjoyed the ambiance and the clientele. Very nice jazz combo too. We definitely will be back, and we think this is a terrific asset for Douglasville.

This was my first time going to Blu Rose. We went for a Poetry event and the atmosphere was very nice and relaxed. The poetry was great and the people were nice. I would definently go back as there are not many places for African Americans to chill and relax in Douglasville. HOWEVER, I do think they need to improve their menu options. They had wings on the menu but they were not availabletonight for some reason. Also, my fiance and I both wanted flatbread pizza but they ran out of flatbread. When my fiance and my other guests received their tacos they were like warm and not hot. The young lady that served us was also the bartender. She was super nice, very pleasant, and patient but you could tell waitressing was not her area of expertise. So I say again overall we had a great time and I want so badly for this place to succeed for the sake of Douglasville but they do have some areas that could use some improvement.

Thoroughly annoyed about our experience today at this establishment. I have tried to support this business because its local and I am a local business owner myself, however I am disappointed. I am feeling unwell so I asked my husband to get me a bowl of tomato soup and half a 4 cheese sandwich. An hour later he returned to the car. The lady accidentally charged double for the order and then didnt know how to reverse the charge so offered him something else off the menu (he didnt want this but did not want to cause a scene). He said it took 30mins for the cheese sandwich and soup then another 30mins for the order he didnt even want. Needless to say, the grilled cheese sandwich I just bit into is hard and cold (as you can imagine), the soup is cold, my husbands forced item is not worth the money he was forced to spend. The positive is that the soup is tasty and upon reheating, will probably be edible. Im hoping that this was a fluke, but I am undecided whether or not Ill return.
