Fun shows, but the bartender had such a bad attitude. Literally was just looking at the booze from far away to see my options on my way to the bathroom caught the nastiest attitude from her. They had a really nice set up.

I love the shows, but the venue itself is deteriorating. I attended a show recently on a rainy night and the multiple leaky places in the roof were really a nuisance. When you look up you can see the crazy complicated network of plywood and bits of plastic bag and tarp that are trying to hold back the drizzle, but it was failing miserably. People were dressed in lovely and expensive costume pieces and at one point in the night, one of the plastic bags gave way and dumped a whole bucket-load of collected rainwater mere inches from a person standing below. The wet and moldy smell was quite strong everywhere in the building, and my allergies were a mess. We paid $40 per person for a venue thats not warm and dry?

One of the best venues for events in Detroit.I have put on events here and helped friends with their events here for years. Its large, customisable and retains an edge thst few other places in the area are able to achieve.

Quite possibly one of the best galleries in Detroit. Much more than a gallery. Great place for live music and wild shows. From the Damned exhibit to Fury Road-tangent has always been awesome and never scared to be on the cusp of what’s interesting and New in Detroit. This is a definite place you have to go to in the city.

Good underground venue, great drink selections, great local bands

What a unique experience, goth, Arty, industrial..The experience was bizarre, macabre, totally fun and new. Im not very experienced in hanging out at hip places, but this one for sure fits the bill. Will be exploring future events for certain.

Great place for art events

This place is extremely sheik! There arent enough stars in the sky to give this place based on the few experiences Ive had. Im new to the Detroit party scene but few places deliver a unique crowd AND atmosphere that you actually participate in. Punk rock dodgeball, Spirit realm meditation, underground music and hot hippie chicks are just a few of the things you might experience here. The bar is also a great plus and the bartender is a sweetheart. This is a great place to go if your getting into the scene but are not sure where to start. My advice to you: go to nonsense night.

Got kicked out not even two hours into the event...I was just dancing and having a good time. I didnt have any confrontations with anyone. A more appropriate response would have been to cut me off at the bar rather then kick me out all together.

Awesome place to see a very diverse offering of shows. Art, music, and everything in between. Some really amazing and talented people work to put on great shows. Always worth checking and highly recommended

Cool Gallery Warehouse!

Just about the coolest place. The best place to go for art shows, performances, and whatnot... basically whatever goes on here is guaranteed to be unique and fun.

Attended Krampus Night last nightVery cool space, interesting people and awesome vendors. Wanted to get on information about other event, however their website is 2 years out of date.Heard a rumor about a beard related event, but cannot find any real info.

Poor management and organization on simple prebookings for a club night. Can’t get the basics correct so only a single star.

Ive partied all over the world yet I was shocked by my experience at Tangent. Actually tranced by all the laid back, beautiful people with their sensual grove on. Top it off-great bear and great food.

Always a party and it never stops. Politically positive for a community happening. Let your hair down your with friends...

I have worked with the Tangent Gallery on multiple occasions to host shows and events. Every time, it has been a huge success. The venue is very large and has a very unique vibe- not to mention a bar!

Hotbed of Detroit Burner Culture. A good venue to find creative unusuality.

So after being scheduled to preform, the bar closed down (10pm) and everyone was kicked out due to a young lady taking a swing at a homosexual male. I can understand kicking people out that are fighting, but to close down the whole venue because of one persons inability to control themselves is a real wdf kind of moment. After playing hundreds of shows in the past decadeThis was in the middle of a wake for a friend. So be mindful when you decide to book this venue, the owners are total arbitrary douchebags. And dont expect to be paid. There are a ton of other venues in either direction on Grand Boulevard, and odds are they wont kick you out in the middle of your friends wake. Dont bother with these uptight homophobes.Love, Mike Bison.

Always an experince. Just went to Nina and the Buffalo Riders EP release there and it was incredible from the music to live art.

Always a good time here. The old architecture can be used so many ways in the different shows makes for a different experience every time we go!

Saw a blues concert there. Reminded me of blues clubs in Mississippi. Has a bar.
