Overbooked boat club! 400 Members and not enough boats to accommodate. You need to make a reservation 7+ days out during boating season. As already stated here in another review, the owner Fletcher is an odd ball.Don’t walk, but run from this club.
Fun club to be a part of. You get all the enjoyment of owning a boat without all the maintenance and storage hassles.
Have lost faith in this club. They have added way too many members and not enough boats.
Been a Legacy Boating Club member for 7 years and love it. I had owned boats all of my life until I joined this club. The club is truly the hassle free way to enjoy the water. They (management and dockhands) are a great group and the boats are well maintained newer models. We opted for the cruiser club and enjoy staying overnight on the larger boats as well.
About a week ago, I visited the legacy office to solicit more info about the boat club’s weekday package. I mentioned my age to the acting manager and asked if there was a way I could get around the age requirement. Mr. Fletcher assured me that with some extra training I would have no problem becoming a member. Recently, I returned to apply for a membership and my application was denied by Mr. Fletcher based on my age. Rubbing salt on the wound, Legacy refused to allow my parents- who meet the age requirement- to become a member and sponsor me as a co-member. I’m disheartened to see a local business so quickly and callously renege on its word. Tread with caution
Great place
The only boat club my family or I have ever been to.
