Spacious, good music, great service

Its an awesome place. Does not kick off until a bit laterg but youll enjoy it. However, please do not dress up like this. Not hot, not cool. Sorry. The place is more upscale.

Dark, sticky, loud, and at the top of three flights of steps. I suppose if you like pop-country music played loud and a few drunk people trying to dance this might be the place for you.

Great music and space to dance. Bathroom could be cleaned. The girls bathroom has a missing stall door. But otherwise its a great experience

Has a nice country bar atmosphere and provides easy access to The Exchange next door. There is a stage for live music and a dance floor, as well as plenty of seating options.

Had a great time! The service was excellent and the entertainment was spectacular! This was my first time here and will most definitely be back!

A great place to spend a night out with the girls!! Drinks werent to expensive and it had a big dance floor!!! Very clean and had very friendly workers!! Music was kindof slow at some points but I guess thats a personal preference of music!!

This bar deserves a 0 star rating. While the bartenders were pleasant the bouncer was not. He could have asked me to leave after a brief altercation with another patron-in which there was ZERO physical contact or verbal communication. Instead he grabbed my water out of my hand and aggressively pushed (man handled) me out of the bar. Don’t go here, they make you pay to get in and then treat you like garbage-so you’re paying to be treated like garbage!!!

Went to this bar in the early side but by the time we left a cover was being charged. That being said, there was a line down the staircase of people looking to get in. Drinks were about average price for the area. Music was typically country themed ( if thats your thing) not really for anyone over the age of 25 years old to enjoy. Very average experience.

Everyone was really nice and friendly. The bartenders were nice and quick too and funny. Going here again.

The 2 bartenders gave very poor service to 2 different but very large groups, that were having holiday parties on Sunday. Not sure I want to go back. Is not the first time Ive had poor and unprofessional service from this establishment.

Only downfall is the floor is always soaked and sticky by the end of the night. Otherwise it’s fun to watch all the Yankees try and dance

Music great, bartenders amazing, security awful! When a female is deliberately pushed by a very large male and then yelled at by security for it, it doesnt make for a place I ever want to go back to.

We came in this weekend to see Tyler Hammond play. The general manager Joe took great care of us all night. HUGE downfall... womens bathroom!!!! 2 stalls are not enough and when we went out side we asked the bouncer if we could come back in since we had been there since 8. he said no, we would have to pay a cover. we are from Iowa City and the bars downtown do not do that.

Had a blast for my last weekend single.

The crowd was small, which was not necessarily a good thing. The bar looks nice, considering the silly name. The servers were quick to take my order, and very nice

Went into Beer Can Alley for the first time the other day not knowing what to expect. Im not a country fan by any means but the drinks were good and I saw someone trying to line dance. I dont know what could be more entertaining than that so its got my vote as a place to check out. If youre looking for something a bit different downtown Des Moines this place is worth checking out.

Country music on one side, Straight up rave/dubstep/rap/powerhouse music on the other (Seperated by a sound proof wall, so you dont hear crappy country music if you dont like it (Like me) average drink prices, great bartenders. Minimal fights/acts of aggression.

Always packed, usually a cover to get in, bartenders favor females for service and its usually very dirty. Bathrooms are just destroyed from drunk people

One of our favorite places to go in downtown! Love the selection of music and dancing, but service is usually pretty slow on Saturday nights. Usually only 2 behind bar and can take 10 minutes to get a drink.

A man who is short in stature and named Austin Rodgers was obviously wasted behind the bar and tried to charge us double for what we drank. He then said he deleted our tab and asked for our card back. Upon giving him the card I suggested he maintain a professional attitude and not drink while serving. He then said go back to where you came from and continued to say I was bit**ing about a $10 tab. I guess a crazy busy bar like this doesnt care about the customer satisfaction when it lets its bartenders get drunk and harass customers. Disappointed and unsatisfied 100%

Went to the bar, a guy asked us if we had been helped..and then asked someone else if they would help us because someone was calling him. The girl he asked told him no, and proceeded to walk away from where we stood. Pretty sad that the people behind the bar wont even help serve.

Its a nice place to hangout with friends. Theu have country bands on weekends. They also got a pool table.
