Known for their iconic diamond shaped snap buttons, Rockmount has been a Denver landmark for generations...So much so that the city memorialized the late founder by giving that block of Wazee Street honorary signs renaming it Jack A. Weil Way.Rockmount is where you go to get something that will get you compliments every time you wear it. Its a preferred shopping stop by rock stars, rodeo champs, and anyone seeking high quality Western wear with distinctive flair. The space itself is store, warehouse and museum wrapped in one, and every time Ive been in the staff treats me more like a neighbor than a customer. On multiple occasions, Ive even had other loyal customers act as ambassadors, chatting me up and sharing about their collection of Rockmount. The prices are on the higher end (expect to pay around $75-$110 for mens shirts) but the quality and style are worth it. My leather gloves are at least 6 years old and continue to look great. I still wear shirts I bought there 10+ years ago. I even have vintage 70s + 80s Rockmount shirts picked from thrift stores that have never so much as had a snap button fail.If youre on a real spending spree, their hats, leather jackets, and cowboy/cowgirl boots are A+. If youd like to get the experience but not the expense, t-shirts run about $25 and they have beautiful bandanas, stickers, and tin reproductions of their famous logo for under 10 bucks.

What a gem of a store! We visited for boots, and picked the store based purely off reviews and location. Little did we know, we walked right into a piece of the Western history. Ive been enjoying reading Denver post articles about the history of this fantastic store and original owner. Its a family owned store with a variety of quality Western wear items from a variety of manufacturers. I now know their bread and butter is their line of high quality and I in Western shirts. They carry clothing apparel, jewelry and footwear for men, women and children. Youll be shocked at how much great stuff they pack inside this location. The store appears to be family operated, and the staff were about as kind as you could dream up. Apparel pricing is pretty great, including their still handmade in the USA Western shirts and high quality belts. We nabbed some boots for the kids, a gorgeous embroidered childrens button up shirt (sadly, a gift), a book, and a beautiful tooled leather belt for me. They even let me swap the belt buckle with one I liked better.Tip: Dont forget to head upstairs and visit the little family curated, complete with personal items, anecdotes, and collectors memorabilia. And say hi to the Humboldt, the lovely yellow lab.

Best shirts in the world. If you order a shirt today do not expect it to arrive for 6 to 12 months. So plan ahead. Way ahead. I ordered a shirt in January and today is June the 10 and was told it will still be a few months. Now if I was a celebrity I am sure i would have it all ready also if you call they will tell you 2 weeks and that is a lie . Do not trust anything they say

Im not local so encourage me to keep my eye on the website or give me the option to pre-order.*There was a rack by the desks to the left behind the register. I was very interested in a shirt but was told it wasnt for sale yet. I will check out the website because it was an awesome shirt. I love the one I did buy and would buy another.

Finally made it to the famous home of the Pearl snap shirt with your. They have a small museum with originals and even a predecessor (see pics). There was a clearance rack with a 20% discount which caused me to partake. LOL. If youre in downtown Denver this place is certainly worth a visit. See pics of may of the celebs who purchase and wear Rockmount shirts. FYI the street is named after the founder, Jack Weil. The story is at age 105 he was still showing up to work at the store. Pictures and magazines verify this story. The store folks are knowledgeable, proud and willing to assist. Highly recommend!

Ive never been to the physical store, only ordered online. I was told this was a small family run business. I had ordered a backordered mens western bolero. I was told I would not get it for a while. The gentleman however called be back and let me know I would get it sooner than expected. They shipped it out to me in like two days - I had the best customer service experience and the product was beyond beautiful. Far exceeded expectations! Beautiful is an understatement and the company is just a pleasure to deal with. Thank you for everything, for explaining everything to me, the patience, and the prompt delivery. A ++++ If I ever make it out to Colorado I would love to come check out your store! I play in a traditional country & western band and the floral embroidered jacket is perfect for me - great, great products and great family-oriented cordial service!

Looks like it may have been a great store! Took us forever to find parking. Not their fault, we just didn’t realize how long it would take us. Walked in knowing we had 10 minutes till closing and the ladies in there immediately reminded us that they were closing. Knowing exactly what we were looking for she pointed us to the kids corner in a very unfriendly manner. She then rudely greeted two other guests the same way. We quickly picked up what we needed and checked out before 4 o’clock. Customer service was a zero in my book!

We cannot say enough about the fun time we had visiting your store and the compliments we received on the items we purchased. We visited from New Orleans and went to a Western Style wedding . Thanks to your store our family being the best western style dressed family at this special occasion. We were decked out from head to toe and shirts to belts. Besides the quality of the products we purchased it was the service we received that stood out in helping with our final selections. The detail to care in making sure we had the right size, fit and even how to store the items we purchased when not wearing them was greatly appreciated. Your staff not only made it fun to shop there but their focus to each and every one of us and our needs went above and beyond a typical experience at a retail store. No wonder the company is owned by the third generation of the its creator and I would put it on a must for anyone visiting or living in Denver. We will definitely be back.

Last weekend I visited Denver for the first time. I lost my boyfriend last year; traveling alone is emotionally difficult but I was doing well until this incident.I entered the RR store with my sunglasses in my hand and was looking through the shirts. A sales associate encouraged me to put them down on her counter so I could shop comfortably. I hesitated because they were expensive and I need them for post eye surgery driving and hiking, both of which I had planned for later that day. She assured me it was safe. I placed my glasses where she indicated and proceeded to look around the store, spending a good amount of time trying to decide between two shirts and ultimately purchasing both. When I returned to retrieve my sunglasses, they were gone. I was devastated. To be fair, the associate was mortified and extremely apologetic. Another offered me her own sunglasses, which of course I declined. She offered to walk me to a nearby optical store to find a replacement, comforting me the whole way there. Unfortunately, that store was closed. We returned to RR and I was so overwhelmed, I sat on the floor, trying not to cry and ultimately failing. I didn’t know whether I should try to call the police to file a report, whether they’d respond to such a call (in NYC they wouldn’t). I had no idea what to do.I flew home the next day. I called the store to speak with a manager and was callously dismissed and condescended to. I was told that the store isn’t responsible when customers “lose” things (I didn’t lose anything, my property was stolen). I was told it had been my choice to leave them on the counter (I chose to only after the associate repeatedly said it was safe). When I tearfully explained that I had been sitting on the floor wondering what to do and whether I should call the police, this man actually LAUGHED. I asked for his superior and was told that his family has owned the store for three generations, and “if you think anyone’s higher than me…” Frankly I couldn’t care less how long that shop existed, if this is how they treat a distressed customer it tells me all I need to know. He said he didn’t know what I expected, it sounded like I was asking him to replace them, which simply wasn’t reasonable. He offered to take my contact information in case they turned up. Turned up? Um, that’s not how stealing works. If you care about a person’s experience, you can ALWAYS do something. Replacing stolen property IS actually an option. It costs the business of course, but it shows empathy and compassion and goes a long way for the reputation of a store’s care for its patrons. Listening without interrupting, condescending, or laughing is also an option.. that one is free. Refraining from encouraging customers to leave their belongings unattended unless you can personally guarantee safety is another.I must add that the staff genuinely supported me when I was in distress. I DO NOT blame the person who told me to leave my sunglasses on the counter – it was NOT her fault (it also wasn’t mine, though, as the manager implied). She and her co-worker handled the situation professionally. To potential customers: I bought two shirts. The craftsmanship is exceptional on both, and in fact on every shirt I touched in the store. I know what I’m talking about because I sew and know poor fabric and stitching when I see it. I was in there a while and examined a few dozen. I am 5’8”, size 2/4, 32dd cup, both shirts are size Small. Wrist openings are narrow but worked for me. They are on the expensive side, but worth it if you can swing it. Given the quality I expect them to last. Considering how often you have to discard cheaper poor quality shirts, these are a better long-term choice. They have a sale section where many items are substantially reduced in price, if you have the discipline/restraint (I didn’t!) If you buy online you can use my measurement for scale. Going in person is best, just DON’T put anything of value down. If you have any issues which require customer service, I hope you are heard with attention and respect.

I was super excited about purchasing an embroidered cowboy shirt that I loved the look of online. I assumed (wrongly) that these shirts were high quality. I received the shirt, it looked pretty good, but upon unsnapping the buttons, most of the snap bases (female parts of the snaps) pulled right off the fabric! I have had lots of snap cowboy shirts, even very old ones, and never had a snap come off right after I bought it. I am disappointed with the low quality/lack of quality control. And Im kind of disappointed that the shirt was not made in the US. I dont have any problem with shirts made in other countries, in fact Ive been to and love the country this shirt was made in, but I expected for $80, that this one would be made in the US of A! DONT SHOP HERE IF YOU STAND AGAINST RACISM AND BIGOTRY!! If youre a Trump supporting white supremacist- go right ahead...Never have I had experienced racist customer service until this horrible store.I went in a couple times to purchase gifts for a friends western themed bachelorette party and received the rudest customer service. The first time I went in the woman who works at the store saw me walk in but didnt even greet me. She kept avoiding me but also looking at me strangely so I thought she was just a strange customer. She then helped another person and to my surprise incredibly warm to the other customers- just the nicest, most accommodating, sweetest woman who went out of her way to help them. When I asked her a question, she was cold and indifferent- just plain bothered. Every question I asked was answered with an I dont know, I wouldnt know, What we have it out. I asked simple questions. I thought it was strange, but brushed it off.I happened to ask some locals about places to get western wear and in my discussions, I found that other people of color have had similar experiences to mine. However, my Caucasian friends had not- they raved about the friendly woman at the store. Pattern much???She doesnt need to call me a slur for me to feel her racism. Second time I went in, the same woman was so incredibly rude to me, I just informed her that I dont understand why shes being so rude and Ill be taking my business else where decided to shop elsewhere. Little did she know, I was ready to drop about +$1000 on hats for all the girls attending the bachelorette party. Their loss. And your gain! If you stand against this kind of behavior towards a more diverse Denver, make your voice heard with your purchase power. Boycott this establishment until they change their approach! Lets shop in places that welcome and appreciate inclusivity and a better America.
