The people that donated their time to be there on a holiday when they didnt have to are my HEROS!! I brought in 2 extra flags & they took the time to fold all 3 of them & present them to his 3 daughters!! They made it VERY VERY SPECIAL!! THANK YOU FOR HELPING US DURING SUCH A HARD TIME!

BEAUTIFUL spot, the pictures don’t do justice. The grounds are very well-kept and green (kudos to the staff!) It’s a nice area to walk around with small, rolling hills. I felt so much calmness and serenity visiting this cemetery.

Went there today 01/05/2020. And kinda found it a disgrace. My relatives are buried in section u with the flat markers. Had a hard time looking for them as the snow had not been cleared from the markers. I realized that this is January in Denver. But it has not snowed in quite a while. And to find the snow and ice had not been cleared from the markers is just a dishonor to these veterans that gave their all for their country.

Ft. Logan National Cemetary has a my parents & immediate relatives & my husbands father & mother along with very close friends of our families. My grandparents were one of the earliest buried in section A.We have been treated with the utmost respect!!! Its a beautiful, peaceful site. On the downside, we could do without the loud Harley Davidson bikers on Memorial Day. It was like a show of who had the best motorcycle & they were disrespectful revving their bikes. We couldnt even get close enough to park & walk to the graves. I actually sat & cried because we had purchased flowers for like 6 gravesites!!

My heartfelt thanks to the Fort Logan staff and the Air Force service persons. We had my dads service this last Friday, and it was amazing. My dad was honored in the highest fashion by the Air Force service members, and Daniel our cordinator. I feel so blessed my dad is home at Fort Logan, and know he is at peace. Thank you.

We just had my mothers Inurnment today. She arrived without the urn we had purchased. Our staff person, Reed, was very helpful in calling the funeral home to fix the problem. The funeral home came almost immediately with the correct urn and the grounds people re-opened the columbarium and corrected the situation. I cant thank them enough for their professionalism and patience. I feel so blessed that Ft Logan will be moms eternal home. Thank you again.

I just cant say I love this place because in order to have been there I had to lose a very special person in my life who was my grandfather who lived with my dad my grandma and myself but they refolded my grandpas flag years later so that it would fit in that last case they sell that the triangle and they have always been helpful was anything we needed Im getting Grandpas headstone replaced when they did a poor job mowing or other things like that and they really do care about the people that are in their care forever along with the people who love them.

This beautiful, historic facility dates to 1887 and was used as an Army base until 1946. The National Cemetery was established in 1950. The facility is beautifully maintained with a terrain of rolling hills, lots of trees, two large lakes, and mountain views. A volunteer team provides a moving committal service. The cemetery is open daily from sunrise to sunset with office hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

I come here more often than I like. The Air Force Honor Guard from Buckley does a great honor to those that are buried here. The grounds keepers show a great deal of respect for all. As a veteran of Vietnam I have witnessed many ceremonies and all demonstrate the highest respect.

My husband served 26 years proudly in the USAF and Fort Logan continues to Honor his service and life. I chose Fort Logan for not only a final resting place of dignity and honor, but also for its serene beauty. My husband loved nature and even though Fort Logan is located in the busy city of Denver you would not know it when you pull into the grounds. I continue to be greeted by many types of birds, geese and ducks. You are more apt to hear the wind blowing the leaves on the trees or the sound of water flowing from the fountain in the lake, than the busy city traffic. Fort Logan National Cemetary truly honors its soldiers and their families so that memories are eternally cherished! Thank you

I love the landscaping and the beauty of Ft Logan but on a day like today when we all need to show our gratitude and respect for those who served, I was dismayed to see the lack off effort in the flag placement at way too many grave sites. I spent 30 mins walking around straightening and pushing the flags into the ground! I give the volunteers that worked to place the flags a GIANT thumbs down. My father-in-law who is now buried there, helped my sons Boy Scout troop for 8 years do the flags at Ft Logan and taught those boys the respect necessary for this task. If the volunteers were Boy Scout troops, i say what a travesty.

Anytime you have to be in touch with a cemetery, is a difficult time. The professionalism and kindness of everyone I interacted with was above and beyond what one usually experiences. They all were helpful, respectful, and comforting. A situation that is already maxed with emotion was made tolerable and even pleasant. I will never forget or cease to be grateful for the way I was helped while making the preparations to bury my mother and father at Ft. Logan.

My father and a dear friend, and I am sure many more acquaintances are there. I am appalled at the story that the cemetery made nice people take flags of the graves to celebrate Veterans Day. They should be ashamed of themselves, and they call themselves Americans. Sad state we live in. I love and miss you daddy, Ray Sheeon.

If you must lose a loved one this is about as good as it can be. The military knows how to take care of their own. For those who served you know that the comradery in this service is like no place else; hopefully all these vets and their significant others are enjoying that same comradery in the after life. Both my parents are there and I enjoy the visit every time Im in town.

My dad’ service was June 12th, 2018. The staff were incredible. Kind, organized, prompt, & professional. The Army honors were beautiful. The words spoken were heartfelt, the silence of the flag ceremony left everyone in tears.IIt was done to military code & made me, proud to be an American. The 21 gun salute, was complete with horn. It was remarkable (Thank you, Murry & volunteers), just perfect. Everyone of you were so great! My family left there feeling..”lighter”, we all discussed how well it went. A load lifted from all. You are beautiful people. Much love and respect to each of you.Sincerely, appreciate what all of you do.-Welch, Keatley, Wagner’s

I have nothing but great things to say about the proprietors at Fort Logan Cemetery. Whrn my brother was brought to the cemetery for burial, the mortuary that was used neglected to schedule the military honor that was due hkm. The Cemetery proprietor said I am going to make this right and he did. My brother received the honor that be deserved with the military gun salute. My family thanks you so much for what you provided.

My mom passed away last year and my dad the year before. It was an honor to be allowed to witness the internment of my mom, who was buried with my dad. The cemetery staff do a tremendous job in taking care of the Graves. The only bad part is the people who let their dogs out to pee and poop. Please be respectful of these people who sacrificed their lives so you could be disrespectful .

US Army plot s4906 bur who was killed in 1981. We were best friends from a childhood and looked after one anothers backs until he moved to USA to see his Father it was then he decided to join the Army and ultimately the gave his life we last spoke a month before his death he was on leave and was trying desperately to come to visit but due to blizzard conditions he couldnt make it, so we had a long chat on the phone he said hed come over soon, that was the last I heard from my very best and only Buddy who can never be replaced, we were inseparable my mum used to treat him like her son. I still miss Wez as I called him very much Im 60 this year and know Ill never make it over to the States to pay my last respects to a brave lad but would love some how love a photograph of his grave which would be a little comfort to myself.
