Small park by the South Platt River with lots of green spaces. Ideal for taking a walk or jog. While the park itself isnt that spectacular, its nice that there are several parks like this one along the South Platt River trail and they form a really nice green belt for runners and cyclists.

It is a decent part that has more of a private bill due to the armed security guards, the heavy camera usage and strange investigative techniques used in this investigative procedures used in this park. The last time I visited this Park, I was approached by a uniformed officer with Denver Police department and told thats my smoking a cigarette was hampering an investigation. At that particular moment there was myself and one other person at that spot in the park there was no other activity going on other than the person relaxing in the sun At the Park at the top of the hill and myself on the front face of the Hill smoking a cigarette.

I spend a good deal of time at this park. It’s a nice place to hang out on the water of the Platte. Walk/swim your dog. Ride your bike etc. I only wish there were more public toilets, places to sit other than ground and shade. Otherwise, far less populated than other areas.

This is a nice place to pull over when on a bike ride, or jogging along the Platte River trail. Perfect for picnics and cloud watching. No playground, only grass and big rocks in perfect placement. The bridges cross over to an ever bigger park which is perfect for kickball or grass sports.

This park has been a hidden gem for a long time. It happens to be close to everything downtown. It has great parking that seems to not get noticed by parking enforcement. Over the years, families have use this park for family gatherings and graduations. More recently, there are great small venue festivals that link this park to its latin heritage. It becomes the site of the Cuban festival during the summer months. It has also become the go-to spot for Rockies fans on opening day. Getting many people together to pregame before this great event. Overall it is not the nicest of parks, it has green grass for the kids to play and plenty of table space for families and old timers. Geet to this park to explore the rest of downtown or just to relax after a long day!

Great little park located right in Downtown Denver! There are covered picnic tables, which is great, and a port-a-potty (which is not great, but appreciated). Area can be loud due to train tracks and highway, but a decent open expanse in the city! Frequented by dog owners and social sports leagues.

Pros: big grassy hills, great view of the river, large outdoor field across the bridge with a few trees adorning the perimeter.Cons: mainly the trails. Besides the main river trail which runs on the east side of the river, trails are hilly, skinny, and cut right through popular hangouts of rather large crowds of homeless. Personally, you leave them be, they typically do the same, gets annoying though; move spots once in a while. Feels like the east side is for the homeless while the west is for the normies
