Outdoor Pursuits is fantastic for all of your outdoor adventures!

Its a well maintained, smaller gym in the heart of the campus. Dont expect to use this gym unless you are a registered student on the auraria campus, or alumni (although I believe alum/non registered summer students must pay a one time fee). Good modern equipment and small climbing wall. Bring a lock for lockers because it is a high traffic area.

If youre a student, its a great resource that should be used. Free access to a high end facility that has all the tools and equipment necessary.

I am a returning student and want to get what I am paying for, this place has been on the decline since 2010. I just called to find out the schedule and the voicemail is from when they did renovations in May, it is now November. The hours are inconstant and are not kept updated on their website or facebook so if you want to workout before or after class its a gamble. The towels are disintegrating, too hard and dry rotted to dry off. The music is loud and not always appropriate so it can feel like youre in a dance club. The showers are not cleaned on any kind of schedule. There is slick black mildew all over the floor. A guy shaved off his beard in there and no one cleaned it up for over a week. The drains are so clogged with hair the shower wont drain. They continue to collect fees but will not expand the facility to accommodate increasing enrollment. Its pretty packed so its difficult to get a workout. The staff also does not enforce any etiquette so kids are constantly doing dangerous things and tossing weights, EARTHQUAKE! Terrible

They play music way too loud. I have used on campus and public recreation centers for years and I even worked in the one on DU campus in the Richie Center, but this one plays their music louder than any other by far. I have to work out with ear plugs, but does little good. I talked to classmates and some have to bring ear buds and blast music on their phones to try to drown out what they are playing. I have spoken to the staff about turning the music down and they have shown little concern. I pay student fees to go there and I may just buy a membership at a local rec center to not have to deal with it.Update: After sending a bunch of emails, someone contacted me and basically said that the way that they operate is policy, but if I wanted to talk about it we could set up a meeting. Yeah. Thanks.

Been lifting here for about 4 years. Have loved the staff and environment. The management has been professional in handling themselves and any situations that arise. Yet from time to time a student employee adds an un-needed element of drama in what otherwise is a welcoming place to be.

By far the smallest school gym I have ever had to use. The locker rooms are quite a bit larger than the actual fitness center. It is around the size of a small 24hr fitness.

Too small for the number of people using it. They seem to close whenever they feel like it.
