Have been a member of Coors Fitness for 8 years. It is currently in the worst condition I have seen. Arrived for workout this morning, 2 exercise bikes on the lower level were out of service with awaiting repair signs on them. Went upstairs to use another exercise bike and, yes you guessed it, the bike I tried to use had an awaiting repair sign on it. Did find a working bike, completed my exercising and went down to the locker room. Got ready to take a shower and was told by another patron there is no hot water. Really negative experience.

-Parking permit comes with membership- very clean, keyed entry locker rooms- nice equipment, best to go early morning or afternoon lull to use it however, peak times are packed in this small gym- pool & racquetball- decent group classes but uninspiring- access to ice rinks not included

Coors is a really cool place. Lots of machines, lots of classes, RACQUETBALL, and lots of helpful staff. The place is clean and cool. Its centrally located in University Park, and is pretty much one of the neatest fitness centers around. Sure, its huge, but where else can you get all of your necessary services all in one place?

Not a fan of the way they pushed Jean-Luc Moreau out and the direction the gym is heading

A great free gym if you are a DU student. A little overpriced if you arent. I worked out here for four years and had a great time doing so! The staff is knowledgable and friendly!

The Coors fitness center is what you would expect for a gym that is free for college students. All of the Universitys money is invested in the gym for the athletes and the cardio equipment, so for builders and Olympic lifters its a nightmare. They have 3 flat benches, 2 adjustable benches, and 2 squat racks. This would be acceptable if you went to a gym that had 20 people at peak times, but there can be well over 100 people in there from 3-6 on weekdays which makes it crowded, claustrophobic, and impossible to do what you want to do. Besides that a lot of the weight machines are outdated, worn down, or flat out useless and are only there to fill space. They have a nice selection of free weights, but unless you work out late at night or early in the morning, good luck finding a bench to use them on. Of the 4 free weight benches they have, only two are adjustable. They have no Olympic platforms and no space to do free floor exercises like deadlifts outside of the racks. They have no bumper plates and the facility is also chalk free which makes handling all of their bars, that are so worn that they feel like a greased pig, impossible if youre using heavy weight. Like I said, this place is a heaven for cardio rats and people looking to do classes and such but is a nightmare for people who are wanting to get into serious lifting or bodybuilding.
