After visiting the aquarium we decided to dine here at the restaurant. The food was OK, ordered a couple seafood platters, the shrimp tasted kind of off and the stuffing in the crab didn’t seem quite fried long enough... the Louisiana Pasta was a miss, had to send it back to kitchen.. the customer service was great for where the food lacked.. Great Strawberry Lemonade though.

Your kids WILL be entertained! There’s a huge wall of giant fish, and at 6 pm (though maybe it’s more often) there is a mermaid show! Also right outside the back entrance is an air conditioned climbing area for your kids to play in. No need to buy an entrance ticket for the restaurant, and parking is free if you say you are going to the restaurant rather than the park (though maybe that’s just on “family fun days”). Food was pretty good but with happy kids it tasted even better.

Even though we had a 7:45 reservation and were on time (the restaurant was pretty empty), we saw nobody at the host stand until after 8 when we were seated. We didnt have our drinks or get to order an appetizer until 8:30, and then when we got our appetizers, we had no rolls of silverware or napkins so we had to flag down our server again. They shut the fish tank lights off around 8:45 basically right when we got our steak. We ordered two sirloins medium rare, and both were practically well done. Our server then tried rushing us after not being anywhere in sight for most of our meal. For a $150 meal with a reservation, we were sorely disappointed. The setting was beautiful, wish we could have enjoyed it more, but will likely not eat at the restaurant again.

I have enjoyed this resturant twice and both times were exceptional. Each time I was blown away by how perfectly seasoned and well cooked the food was. Service is also great they are very attentive and friendly. There are some changes due to covid-19 so unfortunately they do have a limited menu right now. I was looking forward to having the crab cake dinner again but it was not on the menu. Which is understandable during the changes that have taken place due to covid. However, I decided on trying the salmon it was yummy! My family also really enjoyed their meals! The portions are not small at all and are very filling. I like that they follow CDC recommendations by having employees wear mask and socially distancing tables.

Wow! What an amazing place to eat with kids and even adults had fun! Love the pleasant staff and super efficient servers who take care of all the kiddos needs, also politely remind adults that kids should be able to see the mermaids in the tank along with the fish. It’s crazy they have to remind adults to be polite and not stand in front of other people while they eat and want to see the fish and show. Either way it didn’t make for an unpleasant time because they’re very nice about how they get the adults to sit down. Kids had a great time and food is really delicious.

Food was horrible! You pay for the view, but they had a very small section open in an empty restaurant. The hostess sat us at the first table closet to the exit and rudely tossed the crayons on the table. There were hardly any people at the restaurant, but it took forever to get drinks and food. My kids didn’t even touch their pizza-it was inedible. Our waitress was nice, but she upgraded my drink without asking me. I did not want the souvenir cup that was extra. If I wanted it, I would have asked for it. They drive the bill up for a bigger tip. Skip this place and save your money.

Prior to coming here, I checked out the reviews. After deciding to take my family, I can understand some of the negatives mentioned. The food really is just okay. Certainly nothing to write home about. It was pretty cool to have such large aquarium tanks full of fish right in front of us while we ate; this was the draw for us. If it were not for the fish and the aquarium, this place would not be worth checking out. The service we received was good; however food quality and prices were not what they should be. The fish and chips were not worth the $17. The Cobb salad was what you’d expect. On another note, it was nice that we didn’t have to buy tickets to go to this restaurant. The restaurant is separate. Also, I did appreciate the fact that the restaurant validated our parking (that was $7 saved). If you do go here, just be prepared to spend money on a meal that is just okay with a view of plenty of fish swimming in the aquarium.

The aquarium restaurant is located in side the aquarium. We did not eat there but you can see fish while you dine in the tanks inside the restaurant. The Aquarium is awesome and totally worth going to we saw a lot of marine life as well as a macaw and tigers. We also did a meet and greet with a 2 toed Sloth. We got to feed it, and touch it and take slothies and we learned a lot about what it eats and its social interactions. Highly recommend doing that.

I swear I am not a review guy but wow...just unbelievable. I made a reservation a month in advance for my wife and I for our anniversary. Stood at the front counter for 20 minutes before anyone even glanced in our direction and there weren’t but about 4 tables with people at them it was a very slow night. Finally when someone comes I explain I made a reservation and he tells me he can show me two options he has available....While there’s a very empty restaurant with about 30 open tables behind him..makes sense... Upon entering and seeing the two options and asking about a nice table for two (what I signed up for when I made the reservation) i was rudely told “this is what I got”. Decided to give him the benefit of a doubt and see if I could get another employee’s attention to nicely ask about another table and what do I get when I smile and try to ask the guy walking back to the kitchen?... “my hands are full of stuff right now!” ......Okay, let me just explain something. If you can’t carry two plates and answer another customer’s question while you’re passing by, you definitely should NOT be a server! That was the tipping point. I looked at my wife and asked “Do you want to eat here?” It was a rhetorical question at that point. Of course she shook her head no and we got up and walked out, warned the 3 people waiting at the front who had also been there for quite some time, and cruised on over to Red Lobster and had a very special dinner for our special occasion. Walking out of that restaurant was definitely the right decision. When the service leaves a bad taste in your mouth there’s no way the food can be good. Take my advice. Go to the aquarium to see the aquarium. Not to eat. And before the manager replies to this review saying “oh we’re sorry about your experience please fill out this survey so we can improve,” why don’t you do what a real business owner does and actually offer something to these people who have had terrible experiences at your restaurant?? Guess what! Filling out a survey doesn’t make up for anything in fact it’s almost an insult telling these people “oh I’m sorry we wasted your time and money, here waste some more time to fill out this survey for us so we can pretend to care in front of all these review readers!” I’m so happy I walked out of there and had a great time with my wife at a much friendlier, nicer, cleaner, and much more reasonably priced establishment.

Great place for a fun and unique dining experience! I was glad to learn the restaurant is open to the public, even if you dont tour the rest of the aquarium, and took my kids here as a fun surprise. The food was good, but the real reason we went was for the experience, and it didnt disappoint! Many of the tables are inches away from large aquarium walls and my boys loved having large fish swimming right by them as they ate. The ceilings are high and the dining room is very pretty. Cozy booths looked like theyd be great for romantic dates but the place is very kid friendly too. Part of the room was sectioned off for what looked like a private company party, and a smaller dining room had about 20 at a long table, so apparently they can handle groups. The kids menu is great, offering standards like personal pizzas, cheeseburgers, mac & cheese, etc. with healthy side options. The menu itself can be colored and crayons are provided. I had fish tacos, which were good but not amazing, but we also spent less than $35 before tip. They offer entrees that cost more than our whole check, so its possible the food might really shine when you go for a more high end experience. We just went to see fish while we ate, and the whole way home my kids thanked me. Im sure well be doing it again.

After 10 minutes of waiting another family walked up behind us so a waitress retrieved the host to seat the growing crowd. The host blankly stared at me so I asked are you open. He rudely said yes and grabbed the menus. He then seated us at the first table closest to the entry/exit and tossed crayons at my youngest son. This happened at 4:30 pm on Friday June 26, 2020. In a restaurant that boasts wonderful seating to view the aquarium exhibits and the restaurant was nearly empty, I’m appalled at the blatantly rude treatment my sons and I received. ROMANCE UNDER THE SEA 2020I was really looking forward to this valentines special and was excited for a great food experience and a stroll through the aquarium however, $200 later and we ended up with a meal I would not even pay $50 for and service so slow by the time we finished the aquarium was closed. We arrived at 7:15 and when I made the reservations I was told the meal would not take longer than 45 min and we would have plenty of time to walk around the aquarium. Cut to 8:30pm and we are just now receiving our entrees. Mind you this was Sunday the 16th so the crazy rush of valentines day was over. I ordered steak and shrimp scampi which consisted of 3 small (tiny) shrimp and a steak I had to spit out at the end of each bite because it was so chewy. My partner ordered stuffed salmon which looked like a dried piece of fish that had been sitting at a buffet for too long. The server came and took our plates not seeming to notice I only took three bites and did not ask if everything was ok (granted I should have said something but hey sometimes confrontation is hard). It was now 9pm by the time we were done and paid our almost $200 bill which was the time the aquarium closed. Not only did we pay an unbelievably high price for food you could not pay me to eat again, we missed out on the aquarium all together.Once i brought up the time to the server she seemed unconcerned but said we could bring our wristbands back another time for the aquarium. I am very disappointed in myself for not asking to speak to a manager but what was there to say? Your food was gross and none of this was worth the price? We honestly feel scammed out of the money we paid for what was supposed to be a nice valentines dinner and experience.100% do not recommend romance under the sea....I would have rather gone to red lobster and gotten a meal I could enjoy for 1/4 of the price.

Our server was great! He was very attentive and seemed like a hard worker as we could see him tidying up and refilling stuff on the tables. The whole place just smells like an aquarium go figure. I thought after a while you would get used to it but you really dont. The food was decent but the smell makes everything a little unappetizing. It was cool to have the giant fish swimming behind you but its such a small area you just start to feel bad they dont have more room. Food seemed overpriced for what it was. It was so hot when delivered that it seems like it came straight out of the microwave. When we walked outside to get fresh air it literally smelt like someone or their dog just pooped everywhere not sure if there is a weird sewer issue or what but my 3 year old and I were both gagging trying to hold in our food. Instead, everyone stood around for nearly a 1/2 hour, because they wouldnt let us into our party area.Appetizers were hot and ready, (tasty crab cakes), and salads served 5-10 minutes later, with dinner served immediately, afterwards. The seafood captains platter my wife ordered was pretty decent. My rib eye steak was so-so, but had a wonderful flavor.Service was decent, the servers were friendly, talkative, etc.As soon as dinner was finished, dessert was served and we were told we had 15 minutes to get upstairs, if we wanted to go through the exhibits.the exhibits and variety of sea life was varied and nicely displayed. you can literally touch the stingrays. The staff here just did not seem to be very organized. We asked the hostess for a table for two, and she gave us a buzzer and stated that it was going to be a 25 minute wait. We were confused, as more than half of the tables in the restaurant were empty, but the hostess claimed that those tables were already reserved so we were understanding. Well, 45 minutes later, we were still not buzzed up and the restaurant was still half empty. We went back up to the hostess podium to ask when we would be seated, and the new hostess was very confused as to why we were given a buzzer. It appeared as though we couldve been seated when we initially asked, 45 minutes earlier. When we were seated, the disorganization did not stop there. We went about 10 minutes before being greeted by our server. In fact, during that time, a different server noticed that we were sitting there for a while without being served and stated Im not supposed to be your server, but I noticed you havent been served yet so I can take your drink order now and see whats going on with your server. I wish our tip couldve went to this gentleman! Finally, after waiting 45 minutes at the hostess podium and another 10 minutes at our table before being greeted by our server, we got what we came for. The food was delicious (I had the fish and chips) and the mermaid show at the top of the hour was great. Nice to be with the fish for lunch, decent food for a high turnaround place (but dont expect miracles), decent lunch prices but the dessert prices, at $11 are obscene, especially since the prices are not marked anywhere. They come with their 3d menu with the desserts on it, but no price marking. Highly misleading. As a reference (I work in the restaurant big data industry), out of 2551 creme brulees on US menus, only 87, or 3.4% were more expensive than this. I dont think that this price reflects the level of the restaurant (although to be fair, the creme brulee was the best dish of the meal! ;)

We took our two young nieces to the aquarium and finished with dinner. We were seated right in front of the glass aquarium and we all loved it. The fish were right there at our table! The kids were enthralled, especially when the mermaid swam by. Kids meals of mac & cheese and a grilled cheese were perfect and well priced. My partner had etoufee and I had salmon and both were excellent. Service was superb and attentive. We loved it and will be back.

Got in and was forgotten for about 30 min. I had to wave down a server just to order drinks. Then had to wait another 20 min to get drinks. At that point I thought it was because of our inconvenient spot in the corner so I asked to move to which they said, No, because it was booked. We finally got our food. I got steak and lobster. The lobster was dry and the size of my finger and the steak wasnt cooked to order. I was trying to make the best of the date and keep things light. The mermaid show was pretty good, but couldnt see anything due to our inconvenient seating. The Mermaids are great. The Restaurant was awful.

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANTI came from out of state with my family and decided to stop by for food since it was near the aquarium. I have to say that for the price that you pay you would expect some good quality service. However the server that I had did not live up to par. The food was good but it wasn’t enough to overcome the low quality service. You know, you work hard for your money and when you spend it you would want to get your moneys worth. You will not find that here with the service and it is because of that that I would not recommend this place.

We saw the mermaid show and good food. I was worried about the bad service reviews but we had super helpful host and waitress. We sat in the ocean room and enjoyed our weekday lunch.

This restaurant is a hidden gem!!! My boyfriend and I just decided to go on a whim, something different and we were not dissapointed!! We were so shocked it wasnt jam packed by 5 o clock. The food is amazing 5 stars on the food. Then we had an amazing waiter who was down to earth and told us all about the fish. You literally sit and eat with the fishys. Its so easy to get to, and its a great place even for kids. They even have a good happy hour setting. I would highly recommend to eat here. Any day of the week. I will definitly be back!

I would like to give a good review. However, our dessert [a skillet brownie] was served to is cold 2 times. We sent it back both times and asked for our check rather than another recook. The check came and they apologized for us not liking the brownie, yet it was still on the bill. $11.00 for 4 bites total of an cold skillet dessert. Also one of our beers took longer than both desserts to be cooked and brought out. Very poor management of the situation. Also, they were not even a little busy.
