Outstanding piece of history with super friendly staff/Volunteers. I have been here before the museum was a full building and it was awesome to see all the memories I know in the museum as well. They were friendly and had guided tours or you could walk on your own. It is handicap accessible however the front entry has a little slope just due to being where it is. Parking is easy and finding the facility is very easy to see. No charge but a donation is recommended and is well worth your time and money. They have a good attention to detail and a lot of good hands on and other displays. I will be back.

Employee took my wife, grandkids and I through the museum telling us about the different displays. He also gave a good history of the former Air Force Base. He was knowledgeable of history about the Base.

This is a gem of military museums in greater Dallas area, it is rich in aviation and flight training history, I enjoyed the displays and the models very much. On our last visit, we were so honored to have a Korean war vet Charlie Brown (yes, real name) who guided us through the museum, it was a great experience and on that day I vowed to return every year.

My boys and I went. Our guide was amazing and super nice guy. I had no idea that the regional airport was once a military base for many decades. I definitely recommend it for military buffs and kids. It is very informative. I will definitely go again!

Surprisingly large collection of items from the inception of this site as a training facility in World War II. See the video at the start to understand how Perrin started up.We were lucky to get Bill Byers as our tour guide...he was at Perrin in 1948 as a mechanic and later came back as a pilot. It was fun to compare his military experience with my own (Army 1990s) since some things about service life never change. He was also an excellent guide, giving us just enough info about the displays to keep my 15 year old interested. He also pointed out many things that werent on the placards like how to use a pilots canopy knife or how to test magnetos on an engine. Really great museum tour!
