My husband and I spent a couple hours enjoying this place. The kindness from the sweet lady at the entrance was spectacular. The homes and buildings we toured really took you back to yesteryear. It really took you back into time. We loved it!!!

There are quite a few buildings that were relocated to the Village to preserve our history. The facility also has a very nice research center and the staff is very knowledgeable. If you have an interest in genealogy or Texas history, this is a great place to visit. Also, you are just around the corner from President Eisenhowers home town and birthplace. Go see the adjoining museum.

One of the most interesting places in Grayson County. Some of the countys original buildings are preserved in a very pretty, rural setting surrounding a small, peaceful lake. Every one who works or volunteers here is so kind and helpful, too.

They have a lot of pictures and history of the area. Pictures date back to before the Denison Dam was built. You can also tour the houses that have been brought on site.
