My favorite theater of all time. Its difficult to see a movie for a reasonable price anymore - Rave and Cinemark charge upwards of $12 on weekends. The Danbarry consistently has cheap movies. Are the speaker systems and chairs outdated? Yeah, a little. But it beats watching a movie at home by a long shot. The screens are good, they play good movies, the staff is always friendly. I love this place and seriously cant recommend it enough.

The theater is really getting run down cosmetically. It would be nice if they would do some work to it. I dont like that movies being shown arent displayed on their billboard. I drive by there daily and if I saw what is being played might go to movie there more frequently. You get what you pay for I guess, for a couple bucks a ticket not too bad.

This place use to be ok, good entertainment especially for people on a budget but nothing has change in at least 20 years, seats uncomfortable, old decor, half of the drinks were unavailable and no heat??? The guy working by himself was friendly and concession prices were good but come on Danbarry renovate this place, I rather pay $5-$7 a ticket to be comfortable and enjoy myself.

Its been a few months back but it is the same every time I go there. The place is always dirty looking. I mean even the windows are not cleaned to the entrance. The place smells bad when you walk in but you get used to it after a bit. I realize the place is cheap, very reasonable. But come on, just cause its cheap doesnt mean it has to be dirty. Also the seats need some repair. If you cant repair them, then take out the bad ones. Mostly my complaint is the cleanliness of the place. JUST DO SOME CLEANING, DAILY! Other than that the movies are fine. Oh and as far as the food goes, who would want to eat there with it being so dirty. If they dont clean the place up what makes you think the food prep will be clean?

The movie was great. There was NO HEAT at all in the theater that we were in or in the lobby. Something that you need in February, almost warmer outside. Made it very uncomfortable for anyone that was not bundled up like an Eskimo. The staff didnt seem to care whatsoever. Will not be going back.

Of course you get what you pay for. $3 ticket. However couldnt enjoy ourselves. Felt like we were sitting in a cooler. No heat at all. Its 30 degrees outside and in there it didnt feel much different. Really sad when you have to go to the car and grab blankets and people were wearing hats and gloves just to enjoy a movie. Spoke to an employee who stated the owner doesnt care. That they only call to see how much each movie makes. Really run down. So sad to see such an establishment going to hell like this. I doubt they stay open for many more years to come unless they do a little better upkeep.

Like this theater for the cheap ticket cost but after checking the movie schedule online and getting my 90 year old client out of the house to the show, we are told we are not playing this movie today. Affordable even if youre on a fixed income or low-income budget or if you have a lot of kids you can still afford to go here watch movies that are still pretty new and you dont have to wait for them to come out on DVD so when everyones talking about the movie they have seen you can check it out and you dont have to wait for it to come out on DVD. Ok, being a dollar saver theatre means nothing if the thieving unsupervised employees charge a customer $9 for a $3 movie and pocket the difference. Make sure you call their pre-recorded phone number to confirm price. A month ago their ice machine wasnt working for a few days. Be careful if you go on a cold day - multiple theatres may have no heat. If you are the 1st person for the day in a theater, be careful as the room may be pitch black and several rows of seats could be missing. The few bright spots: on Wednesday all food and drink of any size is $2.50, and for those who dont get out much it is 1% better than watching at home months later.

Ive never really like Danbarry theatres cause they dont normally take care of the place but I love the discounted price. I rated it a 3 because their floor was actually NOT sticky this time and it looked pretty decent. The seating was horrible though!! I have hips and those bad boy chairs are NOT comfy to sit in at all!! It was too cold, the sound was too loud for such a small room, and they left a light on during the movie. So not cool.....

Movie, Green Book was great. There was trash all over the floor in theater #4 and lights out when entered theater #4. We 3 women had to use our phones to see seats - safety problem. The previews had not yet started. I saw only one employee at snack bar taking admission and snacks money. The kid combo was just right size for popcorn and coke at $5. I would pay willingly a slightly more increase if needed to have lights on as enter theater room and update seats some, as well as trash picked up but people should do that themselves.

3 stars because I love movies and Im hopeful. Only 1 star for staffing. One staff member was rude to my son, he was excited and hes a little kid if you dont like excited children dont work at a cheap movie theater. What arcade games are left rip off your money and bring no excitement. Personally the place felt dirty when you walk in, it was not very inviting. It almost felt closed/abandoned especially with the sign out front. The bathrooms were dirty and Im not sure the employees care about their jobs. I have more to say but Ill end with this, management/owners need to restore this theater and have a pep talk with staff and clean up and fix your seating in the theaters. Make Danbarry great again...

Heres the thing - this place is cheap! So youre going there because it is so affordable. The chairs are usually okay - like regular theater ones, not the new ones that are padded and recline. The concessions are cheaper than first-run theaters. You can save even more money by going on certain days of the week. Its not very up-to-date, but its acceptable - especially for the price. Its also nice to have a way to see the movies on the big screen if you missed them in the first-run places.

Review №69

Prices are cheap for tickets, but a bit more for concessions when compared to other nearby theatres like THE RAVE or THE REGAL. Some theatre rooms are super cold in Summer cuz of the AC, but in Winter the corner theatres have a problem staying warm when temps outside get into the mid-teens. The help is generally a bunch of highschool kids, they can be rude, very high turnover rate. The managers are generally polite, though. The place is ok concerning cleanliness, but has room for improvement. Everyone thought this theatre would close when the market went from film to digital projection a few years back, but somehow they pulled it off and got the money for the big upgrade. Im happy they did cuz the $10 price of matinee tickets at neighboring theatres is outrageous, let alone the normal price at night.

I went here with my small children. I didnt realize that only cash was accepted, until I took my kids out of the car, and went inside. There was an ATM with a fee, which was OUT OF ORDER! I had to put my kids back into the car and drive to an ATM, just to pay for our tickets. That huge inconvenience made us late for the movie. Ill probably be back, but I just need to remember to bring cash. Everything else was ok, although the theater is in need of major improvements.

This Danbarry has a culture that is driving loyal customers away. I attempted to watch a last showing at 10 pm on 4-20-19; I arrived at 10 pm and the doors were locked, the signs facing the outside clearly stated that the lobby was opened until 10:15 pm. At least 6 persons including a manager that walk directed in front of me to the office. I knocked on the door and they just laughed. Rudest thing I have experience in a while; this is the 3rd time in the last couple of months that I went to watch a last showing to be told they were closing early or this time experience no explanation. If they dont plan on following their internet showing times on the website, dont post them. I had been a loyal customer for since they first opened until now. The Culture is no longer to serve the customers.
